Where to start!!! This is an epic conclusion to the Sleeping Court series. You meet some new characters in this book. Verity has her trials and a surprising plot twist, one of many.

Finale of all finales

Oh my God. I legitimately want to cry. I so did not want this story to end. It's absolutely phenomenal. The series conclusion left me beyond words. The guard. Aziz(cold shower please). The trials. Verity. Alyx(right in the damn feels people). So much emotion. So many twists and turns. The trials are kind of brutal, but so fitting for the nightmare courts. I just.. I'm at a loss for words.

It's over... queue me sobbing. Oblivion is the fourth and final book in Verity's story and it was freaking awesome. Everything has lead up to this, Verity has her guard by her side, loving, protecting, and supporting her. I loved every single second of it and narrator Joshua Macrae has done an excellent job again.

The competition for the crown has begun and things get crazy and violent, it was the best! While the politics in this book is a little crazy but typical, the magic was amped up. The magic in this world is complex, impressive, and detailed. I really enjoyed the magic duels between Verity and Adora, the magic came alive off of the page and made things very entertaining. Also the dialogue, the snark between Everybody and Adora, the steamy romantic scenes with Verity and her guard, just made the book, everything was just great.

Verity is still one of my favorite characters ever and her guard, I love every single one of them and I will admit I am jealous, I really think she has one of the best harems ever. Everyone gets along and is supportive of everyone, there are no assholes, and I could just feel the love and care off of the page. Plus everyone's personalities were great, everyone brings something to the table. Not to mention we meet Nassar's dad and omg it was everything, I already love Nassar and now I love his dad too. Seriously the old man is something else, he was everything I thought he would be and more.

As for the plot, it was intriguing. In some aspects, I knew how the story was gonna end but in other ways, I had no idea it was gonna end that way, especially the scene near the very end, which was a total shock. The story comes to a bitter-sweet end because while I got my HEA, there is a moment that kinda broke my heart and I wish things could have turned out differently but I'm okay with it.

Oblivion may be the last book in Verity's story but it's not over yet, there is a whole Nightmare Court Universe to explore, following the other princesses and I am sure we will get to see or know more about Verity and her guard. I am looking forward to many more adventures in this world, princess Nymea of the Blood Court is up next and I can not tell you how excited I am.

I fell in love with this world during book one and each new installment has just been more incredible then the last. This one was no exception as it is the finale for Sleeping Courts journey. Great Ending

This final book in the series made me sad to say goodbye. Thankfully there is a spin off series that I believe follows on from this one. It’s always hard to say goodbye to favourite characters and the world they inhabit, so knowing that there will be more to come brings me great happiness.

This book closed things off nicely for Verity and her Guard. One thing I really liked about this series was that not all Guard were her lovers. With some RH, it seems that all the people that are attracted to the main character become lovers, they can’t just be friends and this series allows friendships as well as lovers.

This book was mainly about the Trials that had to be passed in order to choose the new Queen. There were five trials and at the end if all candidates passed all the tests the selection was settled by combat. The candidates always had to fulfill the trials themselves, but they were allowed to draw on the power of their Guards and allies. I liked that each trial wiped out the participants and they had to recharge their power through sex. It seems to me that Trials to be Queen need to be hard, plus you get more raunchy scenes

I liked the connection that Verity had to Faerie and that she was being supported and helped through the Trials by the Sithen itself. Everything did feel a bit pre-destined, but most books feel that way, even if it isn’t explicitly stated. At least with a book about the fae, that can be excused!

All in all a good ending to a very good series. Now I’m off to download the beginning of the next series!

Happily ever after for Verity

I really enjoyed Verity’s journey throughout this series. The fae world and all the elements the authors added were unique and made the read very interesting. It helped to craft a completely creative and detailed world for the reader to lose themselves in for a few hours.

My biggest complaint is how everything happened with Prince Aziz. I could tell he would be considered more than just a supportive prince from an allying court early on in the series. I just couldn’t get behind the fact Aziz had his one night with Verity, regardless of the cause. It was too close to cheating for me... even if the authors tried to add extenuating circumstances to make it seem okay. Just because this is a story of Verity, doesn’t mean we don’t also develop bonds with other characters like Gen and to read Gen’s note about feeling like Aziz’s 2nd choice was disheartening to read after what should have been a joyous and victorious moment in the series. I guess it added some side drama and angst but the series would have progressed well without this hiccup. Either remove Aziz entirely from Verity’s guard story arc, or make his relationships with his own guard more of a professional one rather than a personal one with love involved. Or give them relationships similar to what Verity has with Moss.

Now that Verity’s story is complete for the moment, I curious to read the other series set in this same world with the other princesses.

Passion and power fully realized

Kudos to the lovely authors! You finished this series with a bang, a scream and a whimper! ; ) I fell in love with this series from the very first chapter in the first book and I have never been let down. From Verity, to her guard, to all the heart thrown around in this series, just wonderful! It is bittersweet for me, as there has been so much loss and needed change, and I'm not ready to let them go! I'm looking forward to more stories from this series and hope for cameos from these wonderful characters in future books! ; ) What I really loved was that the authors never she'd away from the passion, or the violence, or the feelings, and they were all equally treated with such maturity and elegance. I'm a firm believer that if violence exists in the story then it needs to be balanced with love and passion, and this story never skimped on the much needed human connections, or should I say Fae? I just need to say this once, Aziz, Aziz, Aziz. Also, how can you not love a book with the words "David Bowie's crotch"? I rest my case! Loved!

Read it in one day, I couldn't put it down!

So the final installment for Sleeping Court was just incredible!
The character development just got better and better, the story line was impeccable and I was still learning new things about the characters and their backgrounds all the way through, which was great: there wasn't just an info dump like a lot of authors do. The sexy times were well crafted and not tacky at all, it didn't feel like I was just reading porn so I loved that. This series did have a few things in common with the Merry Gentry series but it was also originals in other aspects of the book! So if you like the Merry Gentry series this will definitely be up your alley. I would even say it's better in my overall opinion of storyline and writing.

Spoiler alert! Don't read on if you haven't read the series yet!

The only thing I was saddened and a little disappointed in was the sacrifice that Aziz had to give. In giving up being with Verity, his Court curse was broken. The chemistry between them was built up so well that you just wanted a HEA for them, alas it wasn't meant to be but I do understand and I love how it was executed anyhow.

Please note I purchased this series via Audible as a set.

The Sleeping Court is a completed series however there are spin off series in the same universe you can indulge in and although you don’t need to read these four books first to enjoy the rest I would totally recommend it.

This series is a fast paced PRN reverse harem. Whereby our FMC needs to build a power base in order to claim a crown. It’s super steamy so expect MF, FF, MFM and MFF scenes.

It’s also written in several POV including allied characters. I listened to the audiobook so I’m of two minds of the performance some of it I liked but there were times where I cringed so maybe stick to reading as it did dampen my view of some of the characters.

The Sleeping Court Book Four. Final Book in the series.

After the trials faced by Verity and the other princesses' guards, Verity must face down Adora to determine the next queen of Faerie. There are several trials each princess must win to pass on to the next level. While Adora has lived in Faerie her entire life, Verity has the support of several other courts, each of which is willing to help her move forward. Even Prince Aziz is involved in the trials. But even with Faerie on her side, can Verity truly win against an enemy so ruthless as the daughter of the current ruler?

If you've been waiting for the final trials in the competition for Queen of Faerie, the time has come.

Such a satisfying ending...
We left book 3 on a cliff and book 4 starts with a bang!

The competition for the crown of the nightmare courts is happening. Each challenge brings with it a deeper connection to her guard, a growing understanding of her allies, a stronger grasp of her powers and a bond to faerie itself.

It's super steamy, funny and emotional. And in the end, there are threads that are left loose for other stories to follow (and I will totally be looking into following them).

Narration (since I listened to the audiobook) is on point per usual in this series. Just close my eyes and let the voices and story just take me away to this world that is foreign but still oh so very real.

Not the end! Oh few 2 more books remain.

This seemed like the final book and if you stop here you'll wonder how some of the other characters stories play out. It is steamy, action packed, and a hot as hell rh. Variety battles for her HEA, and fighting to become Queen in this book. There are twists and turns and you fall in love with the secondary characters even more. I am just in love with how these authors write so seamlessly together. I know it isnt in AU, but worth the buy! You will not be disappointed. Enjoy it because I did.

This is it. This is what the previous books have set us up for. In this steamy story we finally get to see if Verity can overcome whatever Queen Poppy and Princess Audra can throw at her and become Queen so Faerie can start to heal. This one is going to take the whole team.
This story is filled with strength, sex and surprises and will leave you looking forward to future stories in this world.

Good ending to the series. It was a satisfying ending (some people bit the dust, happily) and Verity became queen. Aziz and Verity finally got it on (sadly only the one time, and that vision broke my heart) and that was very hot. Overall, I liked the series. I will say that there is a lot of sex, which was a bit much for me by the end, as I read them all in a few days. But it was generally pretty hot. Anyway, 4 stars for the last book.

This series is why there are paranormal readers. Book 4 wraps everything up all nice and tight. The writers know their audience and definitely give us what we are looking for. Romance, a whole lot of sexy time (that's required if Verity is going to win the crown of Faerie), hot men, and suspense that will make you wonder if creatures like this really do exist. Well done series, and I can't wait to read the next creation from these authors.

The final challenges for Princess Verity to become Queen

The final book in this series and it does not disappoint! Stepping into her full power with the help of her guard and allies, Verity is able to claim Queendom for Faerie. I can't say much more than that without giving any away. Don't miss this book!

I really enjoyed this story, this is book 4 of the series.
Princess Verity is competing against her cousin to become the next queen. She has built up her Guard but will they be enough?
Lots of gossip, backstabbing, secrets and a few surprises. Not forgetting lots of steamy moments with her Guard.
Great end to this part of the adventure.

I didn’t want this series to end. I fell in love with Verity and her guard, especially Nassar. If it had to end though, I must say the authors did an amazing job at wrapping it up while dangling the chance at other Courts getting their stories. The action and intrigue never ended. I never knew what was going to happen next. It was a twisting roller coaster ride and my heart was in my throat worrying about my favorite Court. I’m looking forward to the next series these authors gift us with.

Awesome story

Loved that Verity is queen now, finally! Wish we had a better ending to Prince Aziz though instead of being left wondering, so I hope to hear/read more about him and his HEA.

Omg epic! We finally got to the trials between Verity and Adora and they were so amazing. I absolutely loved the way the princesses, and their guards, have all come together and joined forces. They are stronger together and it was beautiful to see.
Some amazingly sexy and heartbreaking moments in this installment. While we’re not quite left with a Verity cliffhanger, there are so many questions that I need answered and can’t wait to get to the other Court series!
