1.5 “Hablar de sentido común con un hada es como pedirle a una araña que se siente”.
No sé.
I loved this book. the fae queen was amazing. I loved the story line and how the overall story line keeps coming back with more answers. The characters are fun. I liked the Elf too he seems like a great friend to have. It seems the romance side has gone for now. Who knows what changes we will see in Jax now.

Dark Rise is a nail-biting, thrill ride. Welcoming you into a whole new world of Paranormal.
Just like the other two in this series. Something is always happening, and there’s darkness in every corner. You never know what else is going to jump out at you. Rowyn is on a mission, to save Jax and do what she must to make things right. But it won’t be easy, but she takes it in stride.
Richardson has a way with words, and her storytelling is fantastic. Most of the time I feel like I’m watching a movie. I would love to see this series in action on screen. Rowyn is a fantastic character she’s brave and has this amazing strength inside her. I don’t think we’ve seen all of what Rowyn can do. And Tyrius, that cat, will always be one of my favorites. We are also introduced to some new characters. But I’m not giving the whole story away.
There are a few ways I see this book could be better but it's still enjoyable and I'm still invested in the series. Continuing to the next book to see what happens with Rowyn
Rowyn’s attempt to summon Jax from the Netherworld was unsuccessful so she was shocked when he appeared in her apartment. Unfortunately, it turns out a jinni named Jeeves had purchased Jax in the Netherworld and was now inhabiting his body. Rowyn is bound and determined to eject him but has other crisis to deal with first. Three more angels turn up to destroy her, the insane fae queen is turning humans into faeries, the White Grace needs to be acquired and members of the council of Elders have an agenda that doesn’t bode well for half breeds that aren’t of angel descent.
Despite his swarmy demeanor, Jeeves is able to offer some helpful advice on how to destroy the fae queen. The necessary poison can only be found at a shop owned by an elf who becomes an ally of sorts. Danto, the vampire leader, is also on board along with the ever faithful Tyrius and Father Thomas.
Rowyn learns more about how and why the unmarked were created.
I am still very unsure about this series it is a bit hot and cold some parts good others not so good. Rowyn the heroine is a bit hopeless how she succeeds at anything is questionable but somehow with the help of friends she gets there in the end and she constantly finds herself in tricky situations because she blunders in without thinking clearly. She gathers enemies constantly and keeps finding out new things about her birth Angels are looking to kill her and others want her as a super soldier. She has just helped to save Jax the guy she loves and now he is ignoring her, her life is one huge mess. She has killed the fairie Queen who was threatening the world and destroyed a powerful magic stone what's next for her guess I will have to read the next instalment to find out.
Another brilliant book in the Shadow & Light series! Loved every page of this exciting, magical & well-written read. Great kick-ass MCs in Rowyn, Jax, Danto & Tyrius (kitty with attitude!) as they try to find a way of eliminating the Faerie Queen before she destroys all humankind with her flesh-eating creations, & bringing Jax back from the nightmare of the Neverworld. We're introduced to even more wonderful characters in the form of a Jinn; a wonderful Elf, (who I love more than Jax & Tyrius!), & a 'friend' for Tyrius! Wonderful book - roll on book 4 in this brilliant series. Did I tell you I loved it?!
In addition to survive the Legion, Rowyn had now to save the Humans, Jax, and her grandmother... Busy, you think? I loved this book but I didn't understand Rowyn stuborness to save Jax (he didn't care about her!) and kept being treated like trash by his family and his fiancé!!! Stop being naive! Hotness doesn't mean greatness (never!!!)! Since the second book, she's always blaming herself for everything happened and it's annoying. Stop whining and begin thinking before acting! It's clear that her grandma is Rowyn's weak point, so do something about it! Rowyn acted sometimes like a weak and frail human, it's disapointed. I really hope that "Jax's cas" will be closed soon!
WOW - book 3 is quite the thrill ride!! I could not put this one down. I needed to know what was going to happen and it did not disappoint. There were points in the story that made me want to yell out loud - NO!!!!
The author, Kim Richardson, really knows how to keep her audience captive. Her storytelling is absolutely fantastic! The main characters, Rowyn and her sidekick Tyrius, the cat, are fantastic. I love them and I love the way that they interact with each other and their surroundings.
I can't wait to read book 4. Such an amazing series.
Author is a very good writer yet Still waiting for it !
What else , another chicken little book (the sky is falling , the sky is falling) but wait am I the cause everyone is in a panic ? Well yea, because you are a bad ass chicken with issues. I don know why I keep reading almost the same book just by different authors, it's getting very old, but in truth what more can be said about demons, vampires, and such? Help me I need good griping books with some humor ,violence to a degree with no or little gross sex
To be fair this book series could be great but it's not. It's just a bit flat. I'm reading on though because I hate to give up even though I've skimmed through most of it. It's a bit predictable, the snark isn't that sharp with the insults being rather childish. The romance is a confusing non starter so far but could be slouch more and the villains are more Disney than fantasy. I will persevere and optimistically hope for the best but only because I have kindle unlimited 😁
I did not enjoy this at all. It took me weeks to read this and that’s saying something that I managed to get through it instead of abandoning it completely. There was just too much going on here and not enough thought out into this story at all. I just didn’t get any of it or why certain threads were left dangling. Made me wonder if the author wrote this just to write it Bc she had a deadline to meet. The preview to book four shows some promise, but not sure if I wanna commit to it yet.
This sure was a nail biter at moments. More and more I relate to Rowyn's attitude and I love it. She would be my book spirit person(?). As always the world building is incredible. Our favorite characters are evolving with every turn of the page. I've said it before but I truly believe this has to be my favorite series from Kim Richardson.
I think this book is my favorite one out of the series so far! I was hoping it was the last in the series, but Ms. Richardson didn't see it my way! I thought the Angels were gonna show up at the end! I want to know what's going on with Jax! Other than that, I think everyone will enjoy this read!
I still think Rowyn is a bit naive for all that she has seen and done, but I think at the end of this book, she may have gained a little knowledge. Jax is a douche and hasn’t changed yet. I’m hoping for a miracle in the next book. Otherwise, Rowyn would be wise to move on.
Rowyn is running out of options and she meets a new potential friend and an old one, well sort of. This is when Rowyn and her cat discover a way to save humanity. Remember not all heros wear capes.
Or is it save the world either way there's going to be some nastiness happening. Fairies, vampires, Angel's and demons are all put to play, will she be able to screw the world?
I liked the continuity and the complex relationships set here. Also...Tyrius is just a damn king. Hoping next book explores a bit more of Danto...he intrigues me, where Jax is just kind of annoying me.
I enjoyed the continued adventures of Rowyn, the Hunter. The characters in this book were well done and I enjoyed the story. It was a quick read for me and I'll continue the series to see what happens next.
Another fantastic book in an already amazing series, I really enjoy reading about this world and there fascinating characters, I'm looking forward to reading the next one in this series.
Another good pageturner. I liked the development of the fae queen as the villain. I also liked getting to know new magical species, particularly Gareth the elf. But the ending seemed to wrap up TOO nicely for my liking. A bit of a deus ex machina.
Cada libro que.leo.Me siento más confunsa, sin saber en qué llegarán los poderes de ella. Y cambiando de tema este Más es tonto o que , lo salvan y no se toma la.molestia de agradecer uff
That was quite interesting. Sometimes it was a bit uh annoying. The storyline though was quite good. I’m really hoping Rowyn starts using her brain a bit more though!
