Born at the beginning of the 1970's in Berkshire, England, Jason found his passion for technology when the Spectrum 48k was launched in 1982. He taught himself how to code using books from the library, and later took the first 'O' and 'A' levels in 'Computing' available in the UK. Always attracted to new tech, Jason was often seen driving around the local area in a Sinclair C5 at the age of 16.
After spending time in Cambridge and France, he attended Aston University to read Business Management, later specializing in Law. However, the lure of new technology was simply too much to resist and Jason went to work full time at Cable & Wireless and later Microsoft. After leaving in 2000, he started, and sold, a number of businesses, including the UK's longest running chain of internet cafes and games zones known as 'Quarks'. He remains a serial entrepreneur, but is also an active cryptocurrency evangelist, public speaker and author of the blog site Original Crypto Guy. He lives with his partner and two children back in Berkshire.
Jason has personally helped dozens of couples and families resolve their money issues on a pro-bono basis using a proven system he designed and built himself over twenty years. This system is now available for all, with the downloadable spreadsheets included, in the book "MONEY: Yours, mine or ours?"
After trying - unsuccessfully - one sunny day in 2018 to explain the concept of Bitcoin to his mum, Jason was inspired to write a book that explains the whole thing in easy to understand terms appropriately called "How to Explain Bitcoin to your mum."
