About the author

Grahame Anderson

Grahame's aim in writing is to have fun, spread some joy and help the reader question things. He loves the idea of free thinking and challenging tradition while accepting that people will always be different and that's what makes for an interesting world. He has a leaning towards spiritual, inward looking journeys, in terms of who we are, where we come from and where we want to be. He never tires of the bohemian, hippie style, free spirited people and the culture and music that surrounds this movement and quite often he drifts back towards this mindset.

Grahame has published three books, The Lighthouse Keepers, Short Stories and Poems and his most potent work to date - The Best Seat in the Universe.

Grahame hopes that though his writing, that something, just one nugget will inspire some readers or help them improve their lives in some way. He wants the world to be a place that everyone can enjoy, live in peace and love and hopes that one day as a race we can reduce suffering and stop stupid wars or at least stop voting in leaders who want to fight with other countries.

Grahame is married with two adult children and lives on the West Coast of Scotland

Easy to read novel with a touch of magic and nostalgia . The author takes you on an inspiring journey and personally related to this book as I used to live in the area in which the story is set and as reading the words found myself back there which made it so special as I could visualize the setting and buildings he describes. The ending leaves you with hope and the morale of the story makes you a believer. Looking forward to reading more of his works.

Lovely gentle read

Enjoyable easy read - a story about what can be achieved if you have self-belief given to you as a child, loved the descriptions of the setting - made me want to visit Scotland.
Imagine what the world could be like if every child was encouraged to follow their dreams.....

Beautiful

A beautiful tale about hope, self belief and love. I read it in one sitting after reading Grahame’s other book The Best Seat in the Universe, another inspiring story worthy of reading and sharing.

After having read the reviews I was hoping for something inspirational to read. It's a lovely story but, in my opinion, not terribly well written or with much depth. This is something I would probably have read as a teenager. The message is lovely, the story very predictable and simple.

A lovely read but I was a wee bit disappointed after reading Grahame's other book The Best Seat in the Universe which was amazing! Still a very thought provoking read though from an amazing author 💖
