A mediocre book by all standards, Jason Rohan makes a futile attempt to replicate Rick Riordan's flair at infusing mythology into stories, and Chris Bradford's gift for setting the scene of Japan. It is enraging to see Chinese and Japanese cultures and customs being mixed up. It is to the point in which the chapter numbers are in Chinese but the book is set in Japan.
