Corey Cassidy and his friend Grant are driving around the beautiful Pacific island, looking for good places to surf, when the weather changes. The sea gets rougher and the wind gets stronger and stronger. A tropical cyclone is coming. Corey tells the story of the terrible storm, and the people who help him get through it.
This was a super easy and quick (50 pages!) read. I can understand why this is recommended for younger readers. The story isn't that great though, mainly because it's written in only 50 pages. But I really liked that he wanted to start a group called 'Surfers for Samoa' to raise money for people who lost everything during the cyclone, for better medical service and Grant.
