intense and passionate, her dark angel is a tale of desire and deepest forbidden love guaranteed to set your heart racing

The story opens up intriducing Apollyon. He is the original angel of death. He is very lonely, and passes the time by looking into a special pool of water, watching the people on Earth. He hears a call from his master, something he had not heard in centuries.



No other mortal captivated him as she could

Serenity is a mortal, but she is also a witch. She had cast love spells before and spells for the greater good~ this was the first time she cast a " vengeance" spell. This was just a spell to get back at a cheating ex-boyfriend. Hmmmmmm I wish sometimes if I have this hidden ability. When I rise to power ~ some people better RUN~

I am a total sucker for Fallen Angel themed books. I love the whole divine intervention love story. Both of these characters are very likeable. I wish the book was a bit longer. Although short it had some great moments. And lots of steamy moments.

I'm fairly new to the angel thing, but after having read and reviewed 2 other angel book before (and loving them), I jumped at the chance to read another.

The heroine is a witch who somehow calls forth an angel to seek revenge on her unfaithful ex-boyfriend. Great premise. The execution, however, left me wanting.

I'm usually quick to accept the love at first sight thing when supernatural/other worldly forces are involved (angels/demons/vampires/werewolves/etc), but this wasn't a case of love at first sight, mating, or any other supernatural love-mojo. Yes, they were attracted to each other, but it wasn't love and he continued to insist (in his thoughts) that he didn't know why his fellow angels would fall for human women.

They were only together for a day until they were bumping uglies (which isn't entirely unheard of - several people engage in overnight relationships) and "in love". That part was a little too difficult for me to accept, despite the angel & witch aspect.

And the revenge that she wanted against her cheating bastard of an ex-boyfriend? Was just to make him jealous by going to a club and dancing provocatively with her angel. Felt a little too much like high school to me.

I didn't feel the chemistry between the characters, and while I understand that this is a novella (which means word count restrictions), I didn't feel that the story was fleshed out enough. Maybe if it had been longer and the characters given more time to get to know each other (or have a supernatural force pulling them together like the werewolves' mating instinct) I might've liked it better.

HOT! HOT! HOT EROTICA!

This book was fantastic and the erotica romance between Apollyon and Serenity was pure "HEAVENLY and HOT HOT HOT!!!"

The story was amazing and I couldn't resist reading about Appollyon, "the great destroyer...Angel of Apocalypse, responsible for raining Hell down on earth when everything comes to an end", an Angel built with a body of a God and for sin with the smile of a devil. Appollyon is definitly my kind of Angel.

Serenity is a human witch who only does good with her magic but when she is pushed aside, dumped, and her heart is aching from the hurt by her boy friend, Serenity finally gives in and cast a spell for revenge.

Appollyon the angel from Hell has always had his eye on her but for some reason he hears her call and goes to her to do her bidding for revenge. However, both of them had the slightest clue that this simple revenge would draw their love towards each other.

A must read story to find out the revenge Serenity's boyfriend has reigned upon him and what happens between Serenity and Appollyon as the story heats up. Absolutely great ending.

I couldn't seem to wipe off this stupid smile on my face.

I loved this one, maybe loved it more than I could care to admit. It was one of those moments when I just wanted to read some light books, you know just to take your mind off of the seriousness of whatever has been going on with your life, so I chanced upon this book, tried the first few pages and before I knew it I was completely hooked. To say it was addictive will be an understatement. I first read the premise of this book, about an angel who was stuck in Hell to guard devil, and he can only get out of it if his master calls upon him and give him another mission. True enough, he was called, but not by his master but by the beautiful woman he has been watching through time. Such a great premise isn't it? The romance is already palpable, I knew then I would have to read it or I will be left wondering for a long time. Glad I did! The story did not disappoint, I do understand that it is under the erotica genre, well as I have mentioned before I am no stranger to erotica fiction, but this one was more on the mild side of things. It was steamy yes, it has few unnecessary sexual tensions (hint: the one in the club) but in the grand scheme of things everything was well played out.

I just hoped there was so much to the story, like depth and more seriousness. It has a great potential to turn into a full novel. The premise was really great, a Dark Angel and a Witch, hell yes I am sold! If the author ever thinks of writing this one into a full novel, with more complexities I will definitely read it!

Apollyon is just.ughhhh..! I loved how he has been described. Through the years it has exhausted me to read characters to be described as "hot" "devastatingly handsome" gorgeous" and all the unrealistic ones, but this book was an exception. Haha. Any books with angels will always be an exception to me, because come on, how could you describe an angel without throwing in those words? Impossible. Haha not that I've seen any angels, but they ought to look the part. So excuse me for being shallow haha!

All things considered, I enjoyed this one a lot!!! I can definitely see myself binge reading all the books in the series. Now excuse me while I swoon over angels. haha

Her Dark Angel is book one in Her Angel series by Felicity Heaton. Her Dark Angel was an ok start to what has potential to be another hot series.

Serenity is a witch who wants revenge on her cheating ex-boyfriend and unknowingly calls to an Angel. Apollyon is an Angel, the Great Destroyer or also known as the Angel of the Apocalypse.

I am a fan of her Eternal Mates and Vampire Erotic Theater series. FHeaton know’s how to write hot sex scenes and great characters, so I wanted to give her Angel’s a try. Her Dark Angel is a quick sexy novella. We learn that all Angels watch, that is what they do, until they are needed. Their was very little world building not what I am use to from FHeaton. The plot was predictable and the plan to get back at her ex was no big surprise. As for the relationship between Apollyon and Serenity, I never felt the lust turn into love. The sex scenes are hot and the romance moves quickly. This is not one of her best, but it has potential and I look forward to checking out more of this series.

If you are looking for a quick, sexy and sweet read then give Her Dark Angel a try.

Apollyon is a dark angel and has been stationed at Hell's gates for centuries. He is responsible for keeping Hell's occupants in the fiery pit but has grown restless and bored. He covetously watches humans on Earth as they go about their lives and finds himself repeatedly drawn to a beautiful French woman named Serenity. He's been watching her for a long time until one day he answers a call from Serenity, a witch, seeking revenge on her cheating rake of an ex-boyfriend. He enters into a Master/Servant contract with her and would love to exact his kind of revenge on the man who broke Serenity's heart but instead agrees to her plan of making her ex green with envy and jealousy by pretending to be her current boyfriend. As Apollyon spends more time on Earth with Serenity he realizes how lonely his existence in Hell had been and how much he would give up to spend a lifetime on Earth with Serenity. Serenity is drawn to the gorgeous dark angel but does not plan on having her heart trampled on again. As her plan for revenge progresses, however, she becomes less concerned with her past love and more enraptured with a future love she could share with Apollyon.

So, this book was very short (I'm not sure if that fits the genre) but enjoyable. Of course I would have liked more of an introduction rather than the jump off a cliff style we find in this book. I really hated the premise because it just felt so shallow to me...revenge on a cheating ex by stalking him with a hot new guy trying to make him jealous. I would have enjoyed something a bit more complicated or emotional here. Also, the world Heaton tries to create has the possibility of being unique and interesting but there was such a lack of detail that I had a hard time creating it in my head. Angels are HOT but I felt a bit more info about their existence would have been nice (same for witches). Plus I didn't like that Apollyon's angel wings were hidden so often and his angel powers/abilities weren't used or developed more. I think if he's an angel then he's an angel damn it! During the first sex scene they would have made a nice addition! And the loincloth was a bit creepy...kept reminding me of Schmiegel from Lord of the Rings movies!

Other than those few things I didn't like, there were things I did. First and foremost, I thought the sex scenes were good and I couldn't help but feel they were different or more real than so many I've read. I can't put my finger on what it was but I liked it! I also really liked that at several points Serenity was the dominating stronger character. "...he had dozed for a while, resting in her arms. He had never slept with someone like that before--held close by them, feeling protected in their embrace and content." Very rarely have I seen where the male character is not the protector/holder and is more emotionally vulnerable ... and I liked it! As the story went on I thought we got a little more genuine feeling and emotion as well. I think with a little more depth and detail this could have been a great story!

Apollyon has spent centuries guarding the gates of hell and has been longing to be back on earth and able to fly again. He is lonely and spends his time watching events on earth while waiting for his master to call him. When he finally hears the call he is surprised to find it was not his master who called him. Serenity is a witch and is desperate to get revenge on her cheating ex-boyfriend. When she casts a vengeance spell the last thing she is expecting is a visit from the angel of death. Apollyon offers to help her get revenge on her ex but will their charade become more as the attraction between them blossoms?

Her Dark Angel is a novella and contains everything you'd expect from an erotic short story and makes a great quick read. While I enjoy smut I sometimes find that it is hard to connect to the characters in a novella, it can be difficult for an author to build much of an emotional connection between the characters in so few words. I have to say I think Felicity Heaton did a great job of showing the relationship between Apollyon and Serenity develop and although I would have loved to read more about these two I was very happy with the way things built between them.

I have to say I definitely fell for Apollyon - he is one HAWT angel. I absolutely loved the description of his wings and how it felt to fly - he could fly me off on a romantic date any day!! There are some scorching love scenes (I love kitchen & shower smex) & I was kept turning the pages to see how things turned out for the couple. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a quick, erotic paranormal romance and am very much looking forward to reading Her Fallen Angel.

A VERY steamy and enthralling story!

I absolutely love the premise of this book; a woman being watched over by a dark angel, because he has been fascinated by her and only her, and then, when she needs him the most, he comes to help her. But she never even knew he existed! It's like some big, sexy surprise...for both of them, really.

While showing her bravery in the face of this new "sexy surprise" situation, I also liked Serenity's other emotions; fear, doubt, vulnerability. I feel they made her more relatable, and I liked that she wasn't a "back off, Jack, I don't need a man to help me with anything" person.

I enjoyed Felicity's take on so many things regarding angels, from Apollyon's "camouflage" allowing him to be in public to the nuances of his servitude to the sensitivity of his wings. Felicity puts such a unique spin on all of her paranormals, and I've never read anything like any of them!

And WOW was there some steam in here! True to form, Felicity is as thorough with her imagery of settings as she is with her love scenes. But also, the emotions that develop between Serenity and Apollyon blossomed and evolved into something beautiful that I just loved reading.

Other angels were mentioned in this book, and I just know that I'm going to devour all of their stories just like I did this one!

If you're in the mood for a short, sweet erotica story between a witch and an angel...then this is the book for you.

Serenity and Apollyon are really great together and I enjoyed their story but it was just too short for me. Serenity is a witch who calls up a spell for vengence on her ex-boyfriend who cheated on her and for some reason, Apollyon responds to her call. He has to help her until she gets her vengence.

There are many smexy parts and some sweet parts too and heck, who wouldn't want a sexy angel who could fly them around Paris?

Short and silly. Serenity wants revenge for her ex cheating on her. While I certainly understand why she's upset, the kind of revenge she wants made me think he betrayed her more brutally than that. Then you have the insta/lust/sex/love and pages of sex that added nothing to the story. Not sure how the rest of this series goes, but can't say I'm excited to read it if this is how it goes.

I’m sorry but this was not good. Our two main characters were entirely one dimensional, the plot was…well, the plot was nonexistent. Not to mention the amount of smut, which wouldn’t have necessarily have been a bad thing but in this case there was zero chemistry. There was no explanation for the magic system, for both witches and angels, no world building. And apparently coffee makes angels horny? Huh??

I'm giving up on this book. I was excited to begin this but after reaching 35% I just cannot go on. I was so bored. I can't wrap my mind around the fact that the pain in her heart calls an angel from hell and all she wants as far as revenge on her ex is to make him jealous. Really? how very juvenile. a regular old human could have pulled that one of. IMO if you're calling the Angel of revenge from Hell you should use him more wisely.

Glad it was free

If it wasn't for the excerpt at the end for the next story in the series I wouldn't have tried another one. I've read this author's Eternal Mates books and loved them. The heroine is miserable because some guy cheated on her? Really? So you call up an avenging angel? Just seems like it would have played better if the guy had stolen her grandmother's life savings, if you get my meaning.

Lame. The book was too short and underdeveloped. The story covered a span of maybe 36 hours. In that time the angel meets the witch, they stalk her ex, fall in love with each other and have lots of sex. No conflict. They each hAve magical powers that they use just to whip off each other's clothes and get into clubs for free.

This book seems as thought it has been written by a teenager. The plot line is terrible and it seems to have nothing but sex. No character development and her revenge is something a teen would do. Not worth the time.

Her form of revenge was far more gentle and lenient than his. He could happily cast her unfaithful lover to the bottomless pit to suffer there with the Devil and other sinners.

He smiled and her heart fluttered in her throat. He needed a licence for that smile. The effect it had on her was definitely illegal!

Amazon'un Freebie kitaplarından biri Her Dark Angel. Bir kaç gün önce rast geldim ve indirip başladım. Apollon adlı cehennemde görev yapan bir melek ve Serenity adlı sevgilisi tarafından aldatılmış bir cadının arasında geçiyor. Sıkılmadan okuyabildiğim bir kitaptı.

Serenity, kalbi kırık cadı, Bir büyü yapıyor ve intikam alması için Apollon'u çağırıyor. Apollon ise efendisinin sandığı bu çağrıyı hemen kabul ediyor ve dünyaya geliyor. Kızın intikamını alıyor ve mutlu mesut yaşıyorlar.

Apollon karakterine yakışır biçimde karizmatik yazılmıştı, zaten kısa bir hikaye pek tanıma fırsatı bulamıyorsunuz ama hoşlandım kendisinden.

Serenity ile ilişkileri biraz çabuk gelişti ama zaten bende fazla problem beklemiyordum açıkçası.

Hoşuma giden bir sahne vadı hala gülerim. Hiç orginal değil ama...

Serenity uyuyamayıp kalkıyor ve bizim Adonis kılıklı meleğimizi kanepesinde uyurken izliyor ve sonra uyanmaya başlayınca bir çocuk gibi odasına kaçıyor, çarşafıda kafasına çekiyor, sonra Apollon geliyor ve onu izlediğini bildiğini söylüyor. Bu sahne beni güldürdü.

Anlatımıda pek güzel değildi, güzel desem yalan olur çok stereotip cümleler kullanmıştı yazar.

Aklıma takılan ikinci bir şey ise bu cadı ve melek bir birlerini soyma yarışına giriyorlar ve Apollon kızın Topuklu ayakkabılarını büyü ile yok ediyor ama kız (Topuklu sonuçta) hiç sendelemeden, düşmeden orada dikilmeye devam ediyor. Buda beni rahatsız etti işte.

Hep düşünüyorum samimi sahneler çok aşırı olunca (ki bu kitapta 3-4 kere) onları tek ben mi atlıyorum diye. Bir defa okumakta sorun yok ama çok olunca insan sıkılıyor. Bu yüzden ben atlıyorum.

Bu kadar şey söyledim birde "güzeldi be" diyeyim. Benim gibi bu tür kitapları seviyorsanız okuyun derim ama beklentiniz çok olmasın. Yok sevmiyorsanız hiç okumayın :)
