Maybe helpful for a beginner, but this book is not as helpful a reference as Microsoft for an advanced user. Any time I need help, Microsoft has a video on any function. I'm also learning a lot from Excel webinars.

Having had to lookup and manipulate text strings for the past 3 years, I can hardly say there were any surprises in that section of the book, although it did provide a good summary.
Fianncial modelling, forecasting and statistics formulae, however, were a different kettle of fish and I will be sure to revisit if I ever find myself in need of creating analysis on the basis of those.

eh. it was okay, but for that thick a book, it didn't have as many formulas as I was expecting. But it's a good basic book to get started with.

Wish I'd read this years ago. Would've saved me so much time and so many headaches. Very hand how-to to keep around your desk in case you need a reminder.
