J4: Just your regular kid. Or is he?

Rate this book
Joseph Jeffry Justin James, otherwise known as J4 is a not the average kid; he writes poetry and he loves his parents and his grandmother. His Winnie the Pooh obsessed little sister is always by his side and he has one best friend. His best friend Timmy reads a lot, but doesn’t quite get his stories straight. After a very difficult first day at school, J4 discovers a pen and a journal in his grandmother’s attic. When combined with his poetic writing abilities, he discovers that the journal and pen are a magical combination. There are some rules, however, he cannot write anything mean, for whatever mean thing he writes in the journal, will be directed toward him. J4 brings his own commentary between chapters of the story. He gives background and quirky information that the author otherwise may not have known. As the story progresses, J4 makes some new friends, he finds one of those friends; Tilly in peril and he is off to save her through an underground cavern that happens to be in his grandmother’s backyard. With the pen and journal in his hand and Timmy by his side, you never know how the story will end.
