So you know which star sign you are, and even your Chinese Horoscope, but what about your Egyptian Birth Sign? Are you a Sphinx, Thoth, or Anubis, and who are you most compatible with? Unknown until it was discovered by archaeologists on the Temple of the Sun, the mystic Egyptian horoscopes are divided into 12 signs, each one ruled by a different Egyptian god. This extraordinary system is 4000 years old, but Storm Constantine, a recognised authority on Egyptian Mythology, brings it right up to date, with telling new insights into your personality. After extensive research, she has extrapolated the personalities of the gods and godesses and interpreted this ancient system for today's readers. For each sign, she reveals: the positive and negative characteristics of each sign • advice on maintaining health and the most suitable job • how to relate to partner, child, or friend according to their sign • your fate and fortune through the year.
Storm Constantine was a British science fiction and fantasy author, primarily known for her Wraeththu series.
Since the late 1980s she wrote more than 20 novels, plus several non-fiction books. She is featured in the Goth Bible and is often included in discussions of alternative sexuality and gender in science fiction and fantasy; many of her novels include same-sex relationships or hermaphrodites or other twists of gender. Magic, mysticism and ancient legends (like the Grigori) also figure strongly in her works.
In 2003 she launched Immanion Press, based out of Stafford, England. The publishing company publishes not only her own works but those of new writers, as well as well-known genre writers, mainly from the UK.
Amazing information on a variation of the original "zodiac" which the ancient Egyptians* (kemetic) also created. The author did a great job of including a decent number of examples as to the many different aspects of the personality and how each sign differs. Both positive traits and not so good are given for each sign* as well as other traits affiliated with it. My sign is Thoth and it described me better than ANY Western zodiac. People should be made aware of the birth place of the zodiac- ancient Egypt, Africa. Or at least understand and know of the history, of the true original creators. This book is a great reference point to learn about yourself through the true history of the first proven untrue, but a disrespect to knowledge. If you like horoscopes and the like, as truth should be celebrated... Not hidden .
It was entertaining I thought it would be more in depth and more true to ancient kemetic beliefs. I'm still learning but I was under the impression that the epagomenal days were days of anxiety and stress but now this book claims they were holy. So now I have to continue my research. 🤔🤔The actual birth sign was about 80 % true tho.
For anyone with a fascination about Ancient Egypt this is an interesting little book. I'd also say anyone who doesn't fit the known astrological star signs try this. I definitely find I'm truer to these.
I loved this book from the moment i got it as a teenager. A great read and It matched me and my friends well. I liked it a lot and it was nice to find it this year again on my shelf and take a look.
