James was raised by some good men. What would have happened if twisted cultists like the Brotherhood had found him instead of Fathers McCartney and Thomas?

It's time to find out more about the Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone.

James isn't from Earth or Oriceran. Where he is from has been a question for years.

Will we find out now, or will those who seek to kill what James can become win in the end?

One thing is certain: no one should count James Brownstone out of a fight, even if it doesn't look like he can win.

Shay knows this. She has been trying to get him to wear something besides that ratty gray coat for a long time.

He can also be an obstinate  SOB.  Just ask Whispy Doom.

NOTE: This book contains cursing. Perhaps humorous cursing, but cursing nonetheless. If this offends you, I don't suggest reading this book.

Another great read

This series keeps getting better. Usually after 3 or 4 books the author gets lost, but Michael keeps excitement going strong with each book. Fantastic writing!

Aliens, Wendigos, Nanites, Oh My!

When James left us at the end of the last book an alien had sent out a distress call because she realized he was a Vax Forrunner - whatever that is. Welp her superiors got that message and told her to hold her horses. Only thing is she’s had past experience with the Vax and she’s on a holy crusade to avenger her people and protect earth. So what happens when you have a pig headed bounty hunter, a worried tomb hunter and an arrogant alien out looking for blood? - you get one wild ride.

Clearly I loved the book but I took one star off because I’m petty. There is clearly so much about brownstone, the Vax, whispy doom and aliens in general that is only being hinted at and it’s driving me insane. Also I feel like the stories are overlapping in ways that is also driving me insane.

SPOILERS ALERT! Spoiler Alert! SPOILER ALERT!

In The school of necessay magic - the last book that just came out- Alison let it be known Shay and Brownstone got married and that Shay adopted her and that all this happened over Christmas break. On this book Brownstone hasn’t even proposed to Shay. While I love Alison’s books she’s now going to be heading off to college and we still haven’t even gotten a proposal or an additional adoption and Alison will probably have another book out before Brownstone so my fear is that we are going to have to wait 2 more books to see the wedding or worse it will happen off screen -and that thought is frustrating to even think about.
Either way it was still a good installment and I can’t wait for the next one

As Shay describes her relationship with James: 'f**king epic!' Lol

Once again, James' story was truly epic in it's scope, it's plotlines, it's character development, and the sheer brass nerves that he shows, every time he takes on a truly bad person.

Mind you, I know that he has Whispy Doom to keep him safe, but . . . still . . .

But James still has all of this in spades, with this story and, even more, he also has a new character appearing in the game, who is convinced that he's a murdering, maniac, of a monster, and a devastating enemy of both Earth, and Oriceran.

When James and Shay travel to Canada, to remove a Brotherhood, who want to take over the World, he finds another link in the chain that leads back to his first appearance on Earth - and, despite everything, James is determined that, even though he has to now take extra steps with his security, he's going to do his best to KISS, despite all the complications that having a relationship with Shay, and his adopted daughter, Alison, is concerned.

Just when I thought that things could finally calm down for this amazing trio, more things come to light, so I'm anxious to go on reading, to see what'll happen next.

Unfortunately, it's totally, ridiculously, silly o'clock in the morning now (04:35) so, despite my reading list assuring me that I can go straight on over to book fourteen of TUMB: 'One Epic Ring', I'm going to have to leave that until later on today, as tbh, my eyes are so tired, I'm having to squint, to see the words I'm writing! Lol

So, I'm going to load up the next book, catch up on my sleep, then read this next book once I can see properly once more then, once I've done, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think about this next book!

5 Never To Rush A Woman Picking Out Her Implements Of Death Stars

Vax Humana is the thirteenth book in The Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone series by Michael Anderle.

The Nine Systems Alliance, just the title alone speaks to a lot of aliens working together. That a group this large finds the Vax Forerunners that much of a threat is both understandable and troubling. I expect in the future, after Aiyn digs herself into a deeper hole with her supervisors, that they will reach out James and try to get his help to stand against the Vax parasites. Because that's what they seem to be. I can't figure out what makes James different, how he isn't completely under the control of the symbiont?

It's practically guaranteed that the government will get clued in eventually. I only wonder what James and Shay will face once they do? Still concerned about the reaction of those allied with James currently, once they find out his alien origins?

I'm excited to see what epic proposal James comes up with to ask Shay to marry him in the future. If Alison will be included or not?

Just WOW, Again

I've not been diligent about leaving written reviews for this series. I want people to understand that this series as well as the other Ocerian series are like crack, they're so easy to fall into and Damon near impossible to stop. It's kinda of funny because I started with the first book in the Leira storyline and just couldn't get onto it. A few months later I picked up Michael's KGU series and it lead me back to the Ocerian series because I'd read everything else that was out about BA. I started with Brownstone but ended up going back to the Leira series. So, now I'm hooked and fair warning you will be to.

Serious upgrades and serious trouble

James may have attracted the attention of someone that's gonna cause him a lot more trouble. Someone who knows what he truly is. I don't like how that part wasn't finished, but we have had Books where the arc spanned more than 1 book. I hope it's not a habit though. I like having each book have its own each story. The humor was back in this book. It kind of fell off the last book. Looking forward to the next book. We get a lot of James and Shay in this book and a whole lot of Trey. He is starting to get a little too cocky and I'm afraid it's going to end up getting him hurt. Hopefully that's not the case. I really liked him.

As usual, Brownstone and Associates does it again!

Why would an alien race abandon a humanoid infant child on Earth with a disguised high tech training and protection device as sole guidance?

Could it be to conceal him among all of the other orphans?

Could it be to conceal him from other aliens searching for the harbingers of a terrible invasion?

Could it be that their own plans failed, leaving the child, the unbelievable Mr. Brownstone to become a renowned bounty hunter?

I don't know but, I'm looking forward to finding out!

kindle unlimited, once again the blurb is poorly constructed, and off the mark as far as what the actual story about, then of course the so called 'just in time' readers who very evidently review without any assistance in checking for errors, continuity, grammar, spelling, making sense, nor anything else, up to and including the blurb making no sense in various ways, and once again huge buildup to fizzle out and the constant cussing in a book listed for teens to young adults is just totally pitiful, and this coming from someone who can cuss in 5 different languages, but does NOT around kids/teens/young adults and would NEVER recommend they read something so bad that the only thing NOT typo-ed is the cusswords, everything else is confusing, contradictory, just pulp to sell the 'universe' that have quit reading and which as far as can tell isn't getting any new ones in, beyond the ridiculous out of sync beware of spoilers Leira/Brownstone/Shay/Alison that intersect and contradict in constant ways and the latest Alison one which already totally out of sync now has started putting in various spoilers, and NOW have also added cross over information in The Daniel Codex series. On top of all that the JIT members on facebook suggested *I* note and send in all errors mentioned, but even after I mentioned also that *I* am LEGALLY blind AND do NOT get FREE COPIES as THEY DO NOR is it MY JOB as it is THEIRS, they still suggested I strain MY eyes to do THEIR JOBS. BTW NO it has NOT been a 'question for year' because it was started several times in several ways that he didn't NOT know until the LAST YEAR {almost the entire series} that he was alien, didn't remember, been changed, etc, so whatever, as usual, writer not even keeping up with own storyline.

NOTE: these books have been written for/about even teens, these books are NOT suitable for that, and in fact cuss all the way through, for no reason, and even got to the point of doing it quite a bit even in the 'school' ones, so very, uselessly offensive.

Really great book

A great story moving the series along, giving us more information and expectations of what’s to come.

I missed Peyton and Heather being not so prominent in this book, but as the focus was on growing of businesses and James then I can understand.

Loved the descriptions of northern Alberta. Yes it can really be that cold and snowy up here.

Looking forward to the next one, don’t even think about ending this series soon!

Should I Or Shouldn't I

Brownstone and Shay are thinking of a vacation together, with a bit of his and her beatdowns. The trip reveals another party seeking information about Brownstone. Brownstone has something to ask Shay, but things are always complicated with her. I like the action, snarky humor, and romance. Great Book and great series. I look forward to the next book.

Great read

Another great book by Michael anderle. After reading this last book which by the way are getting better and better i read the author notes. I think the life of your series sets itself. As long as you still enjoy writing them and people still enjoy reading them then why would you deprive us of books we love and more importantly will purchase. Thank you for writing books that entertain and leaves us anticipating the next one in the series.

Date night

James and Shay have interesting dates! This one certainly was more than they bargained for, and we learn more about James’ origins as well.

Mysteries are cleared up, it more intrigue comes along to tease us. There are new alliances formed, idiot wannabes dealt with (sorry about that window....), and some romance on the horizon.

In others words, the perfect book! A great read, and I can’t wait for more of James and Shay.

Freaking Epic

What is James Brownstone? That is the question. James and Shay head to the frozen Northland and we get a little clearer view of his background, and a peek at a new, more dangerous, enemy. And, who was stupid enough to rob Jessie Raye's? Other interesting people and plans are introduced. I am so excited that Jake's daughter will soon be home from school. This book is freaking epic!

Wow new aliens

Pretty good but not one of the best. It seems like the books are getting less intense and a bit more rushed in the making but still interesting. Shay and James head to Canada for there latest adventure and take on some really strange bad guys. James’ Whispy doom is getting more intense and with the new alien things are coming together about James’ kin. Still good, but not as good as earlier books. Happy reading.

This is getting goooood!!!

James and Shay set off to relax in their own way, killing bad guys and picking up an artifact. Seems someone is bent on giving them a very hard time on their mission and that someone is not from either planet they know of. Tyler, with help from Maria and Kathy is trying to figure out new ways to make money and Trey is finding that having a witch for a girlfriend comes with some pretty awesome perks!

The series is going downhill now.
The first 6 books were truly the best.
I found myself uninterested throughout the story even though it was a different setting.
I assumed we'd be getting answers by now but now there's more to this device and we have to wait. The author is really stretching these out.
I have the omnibus for this book all the way to 18 so I guess I have to read them.
Let's hope next book, I'll be reviewing it in a more positive light.

Upgrades, both in ability and in threat. Brownstone has a new enemy and this enemy is a little different the previous ones. This time the enemy isn’t just a random bounty or even a criminal at all. What this means for the future of the brownstone series is something I look forward to seeing.

Overall, the new enemy factor is interesting and the action is as normal good. But nothing new otherwise holds the book back a little. Still well worth a read, Brownstone fan or not.

Great but not long enough

This series dovetails with the school of necessary magic. That series is about 2 books ahead of this one. Glad we finally know a little about James backstory. Love the Jesse Ray references . Everything is better with BBQ. Interesting to see more of Thomas.

It was interesting to get some back-story about the Whispy Doom technology, the only problem is, it just makes it more annoying, knowing there is far more to this moronic device.
It also makes me get a bit irritated with Brownstone not being a bit more inquisitive about trying to find out about the device. Perhaps this is the story for the next book?

A quick read as a lot of Brownstone novels are. James and Shay feeling a bit bored head up to the great white north to take on an evil cult. But that's not all. Another alien is after him thinking that he's some sort of advance scout for an alien invasion. Stay tuned and we'll find out what's next for our favorite bbq loving bounty hunter

This is a terrific addition to the series! We’re slowly getting more information about who James really is and where he comes from. The team is growing and relationships are tightening. One question: where’s the wedding?

Loved it

But this one seemed more thoughtful than normal. Loved that you are digging more into Trey thoughts but maybe a little too much Trey. Little too much Tyler. Brownstone and Shay got married in Allison's story, when will it happen in this one?

This series continues to impress, this book starts to look at what is behind what may be an alien invasion. Sadly I pretty much read through the book in a day and now I'm stuck waiting for the next book again.
