In the second novella in the Talson’s Temptation series, the year is 2109, and the humans of Earth had made contact with the Otra aliens years earlier. The Otra are now living and working on the planet, but there’s prejudice between the two groups. Zaret Talson ‘Or Fal has been having the hottest dreams of a woman he’s never met, but therein lies two problems: he’s waking up with his body and sheets literally on fire, and his brother is also having sex with the woman in his dream. Though Z fears he’s going through the Testing—an Otra ritual where a male finds the female he’s suppose to bond with for the rest of his life—he’s determined to stay single, but his plans go awry after his shipping mogul father sends him to Earth to manage a problem with the family business. Adri ‘San Fal is a rare, powerful female Otra who can control fire, and she’s now living on Earth after fleeing from her controlling but well-meaning family. But then her pursuers find her, and she flees again, only to run into Z and his brother Val. She’s been having sexual dreams about both men, but Z is the one her heart calls to. She’s going through Selection—an Otra ritual where a female is ready to find a mate and/or have children—and she can’t deny her need any longer. Z and Adri are stubborn, highly sexed characters with lots of passion between them. I enjoyed how they learned to trust one another and their own feelings. The sex scenes were scorching—I especially loved the threesome scenes—and how the H/h’s lust quickly but believably turned to love. The next book in the series is set up, and I’m anxious to read it. 4 Stars

Z (Zaret) and Adri are HOT, both literally and figuratively. They are both a species of alien called Otra. He can see glimpses of the future and she can control fire. They have been having dreams of each other for over a month but have never met. When she is running from her other suitors she runs smack dab into Z. And the mating hormones overwhelm them. These two are meant to be together. There are a couple of m/f/m scenes as Z's brother is involved with helping to bind their energies. I have not read the first book yet but I will after I read about Val and his story which is book three. I am intrigued about the powers that each Otra has and how it affects their partners.
This was a quick, steamy read, but the insta-connection didn't really flow together like in the first book. I guess with the way Adri was hiding around, I thought there would be more conflict with her family, or something that would give them a real challenge to work around. Not so much! The author tried to create a common ground of "hey, neither or us want this right now, but oh shoot! there go my instincts" -- it just didn't really play out in a stronger, deeper sense. The 3 stars is really just for the heat intensity level, not the story.
What I have found is that anything goes in her world. There is MM MFM and anything in between. It is original, it is fun, it is sexy, it is sizzling, it is strangely erotic in this paranormal world, and you will need more than a long drink to cool down. There is plenty of action and sexfests and you want to do away with the evil who place horrors against the characters. You want to be there to do harm when they infiltrate the enemy. If you like something oh so sexy, spicy and erotic, steaming and exciting with multiple partners then this is a book you should grab and dive right in.
zaret and adri has been having dreams about each other, and val is zaret's eda.. i felt things went alittle to fast in this book(of course things went fast because this page wasn't even 100 pages), like adri was running from the 2 men that she has been promised to, and then bumps into zaret, who made val fight off the 2 men while he fucked adri against the wall...people who like lots of sex, i guarentee you wont b disappointed...its like in every part of this book. zaret at first didnt want a mate, or a female that would steal his heart away, but after he meant adri he was sure he would do anything for her. Roake plans to have a wedding and adri's brothers accept her new mate..as for her dad..idk yet but i think he will accpet zaret.

Reread through Kindle Unlimited. First read through EC years ago. 3.5 stars. Didn't quite entertain like book 1. Different from book 1 as Zaret is pure Otra unlike his half human brother from book 1. We go in a different more alien direction with Testing and Selection, basically mating, coming into the story and more focus on the family business. Both H's are genetically perfect and neither want a mate but once they meet there is no choice. Found having to have a third person, Eda, as part of the mating reminded me of another series but didn't really work here. Reread through Kindle Unlimited. First read through EC years ago.
I so enjoyed the first book in this series, so when this one fell flat in jumbled mess, I was so bummed. I really didn't feel much for either MC. They are both super perfect looking and being aliens with lots of money and long lived. There was nothing to make me feel sympathetic with either. There's a lot of sex, but it wasn't particularly titillating and came at the expense of the story. Not really sure what the story was? It never really went anywhere. I've actually forgotten much of it already...
Unlike the first book of the series, this one has more of the 'fated mate' trope, and a lot more about how totally hot the heroine's boobs are, which ... meh. There's a bit more of storyline involving conflict - with her family, and then with a rival shipping company, but then the latter just turns out to be sequel bait, which was disappointing. Not a bad read, but definitely overpriced for the length.
Finally one story where the protagonists seem accept not the destiny of mating but face this with fun and sincerity ,without hypocrisy. So the story is lovely, exciting, with hot scenes sex and some action scene.
