Numerous instances of western interference to scuttle India's unprecedented growth in space and defense have been perturbing the country's premier investigative agency and defense forces. A disturbing failure of a submarine at a very crucial moment sent shivers down the spine of the people at the helm of affairs in the country. What follows is an investigation with clinical precision by an intelligence head and a mercurial naval officer, who hunt in pairs for the nation's enemy.
What a thrilling read. The book was an absolutely un-putdownable one.
This gripping thriller is set in a corporate world of a defense equipment manufacturing company. When a crucial submarine failed to perform at its best in the battle field, the thrill that set in sends the chills down the spine of the reader. The narrative of high-profile investigation for this failure is so dramatic that it kept me riveted to the book till the last sentence.
This crime thriller has all the ingredients of an entertaining and engrossing read. Corporate politics, high voltage drama and fast paced events sets the benchmarks for a crime thriller story. Author's in-depth study and knowledge of Indian history and engineering is clearly noticeable throughout the story.
The book is divided in small chapters in an easy to understand language which contributes to make this book a fast read. I must say, the story is a movie material. It portrays the capabilities of Indian armed forces and investigation agencies and I wish to experience this thrill on a large screen someday. Congratulations to the author VT Rakesh for penning down such an electrifying book. I would like to read more of your books in future.
As can be seen, the book has myriad angles to it – Corporate Battles, Espionage, Detective Whodunit, Business Drama and Personality Drama. Encapsulating so many diverse themes within one story with complete gelling of each into the overall theme of the book is the true positive point in the delectable short 190 page little book. Each angle has been deftly handled, with aplomb, giving justice to the theme and the story, making for a riveting read.
The pace of the story is frenetic – it really is a fast paced book, and can be finished in one single 2 or 3 hours stretch. Given the deft handling of the many intermingled themes above, audience attention has also been ensured; you are pretty much glued to it good and proper. The language is easy, flowing and simplistic – with even the sentence construction being simple. Long complex sentences, words are all but absent, making for a wider audience reach in our country.
A national intelligence work was narrated by the author.. How the team works during critical situations and they find the loopholes and handle the money lusts who work against country are narrated briefly with good way... It starts in interestingly and in between it is narrated slowly and atlast with a good twist how they picked out the odd one from entire team.. Wow... Good work... Technical works, business in corporate are explained.. Well written story... Applauds to author for writing this.
I completely enjoyed reading this fast-paced espionage thriller. I have not read any other Indian author having a similar theme and we need more of this genre.
