Rate this book
The second volume in the East Hampton Historical Collection launched in 1998 with the publication of Awakening The The East Hampton 350th Anniversary Lecture Series. Tracing The Past collects sixteen lectures by Henry P. Hedges, the eminent lawyer, assemblyman, Suffolk County district attorney, and County judge, which he delivered over a 62-year period from 1849-1911, and are all about New York's East End, including East Hampton, Southhampton, Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton, and Southold in Suffolk County. They represent all of Hedges' extant historical writings and have never before been collected into one, indexed, chronological volume.
