"You're a Cupid? Like toddlers with wings who go around shooting people with bows and arrows?"
"Not quite. We don't actually take on assignments until we're adults. And most of us have lousy aim, so we gave up the bow and arrow bit a long time ago."
Meet Adora Adone, a hapless Cupid with a lousy track record. She has one last chance: Find shifter Matt Tigre a mate or lose her wings. Should be easy enough. Shifters are some of the easiest species to mate with one another.
Except Matt doesn't want a mate. He's been burned in the past, and he's not interested in a future with another shifter. Now with the Cupid, on the other hand... When she said she was there to find him a mate, she should have been more specific.
Get ready to fall in love with Cupid's Light, the fifth installment in the Lightbearer series by Tami Lund.
I love the Lightbearer Series! This is the 5th book in the series and it starts off with an amazing first sentence: “I like my women with straight hair and kinky personalities.” Now that is an attention grabber! In the Lightbearer series we are introduced to shifters of various kinds and magical beings called lightbearers. I have often wondered what other undiscovered species might be hidden in our world. This book is about Adora Hedone, a cupid. Adora is a cute, curvy, pink haired, and winged matchmaker. She has not had the best of luck making a match in the past year. If she does not get a match for Matt Tigre, a panther shifter, she may end up breeding more little cupids in the Procreation Chamber. She finds she is attracted to Matt and tries to fight the growing attraction between them. She is NOT to become involved with her assignment. Matt does not want a mate. He might want this cute woman who is everything he is not looking for in a woman, or is she perfect in every way? This book was funny and entertaining. I love how they both dance around their growing attraction for each other. This is very good book, keeps you entertained and guessing right up until the end. Oh, and I don’t think this will be the last we see of these meddling cupids. Adora has a brother, Shaid, who is a little too perfect. Bring me more Lightbearers, shifters and other magical beings, please!
I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.
This is the fifth book in the series and i have to admit i had forgotten how much i enjoyed this series.

Fast paced, witty and funny with lots of action this book is entartaining and a great addition to the series.
I just love this series and this book didn't disappoint! Adora is a Cupid who's sent out on one more assignment to find a shifter his mate or lose her wings. When she arrives and meets Matt she finds out that he doesn't want a mate and nothing is going to change his mind! As they get to know each other the attraction between them builds until they give into it but Adora can't do more then enjoy their time together because she has to find him a mate, doesn't she? When danger gets close to home will they admit how they feel before it's too late?
Another great addition to this series! I loved how you get to see so many familiar faces in this book and enjoyed the new ones that were introduced, well most of them. Just when you think it's the shifters and lightbearers the author introduces Cupids and does a great job letting the reader learn about them. I can't wait for the next book! A must read for anyone who loves pnr!! I received a copy in exchange for a honest review.
The fifth Lightbearer book comes out 9/5/16, and you don't want to miss it. This time, I've introduced magical people called Cupids. No, they aren't toddlers with wings and bows and arrows--they actually have lousy aim, so they gave up the practice a long time ago, and they don't actually start Cupid School until they are fifteen.
This Cupid is named Adora, and her task is to find love for Matt Tigre. Remember Josh Tigre from Change in the Light (Lightbearer #4)? Matt is his beta, and the last thing he wants is to find love.
Unless, of course, the Cupid is interested. Problem is: Cupids can't find love for themselves. That's not how the system works.
Get ready to fall in love with the Lightbearers and friends... again!
Other books in the series: First Light (prequel) Into the Light Dawning of Light Light Beyond the Darkness Change in the Light
I really enjoyed this book. I especially liked the whole Cupid concept Adora Adone was so tenacious and strong definitely my kind of heroine. I was a little confused about some things and wanted to know more in other like why wasn't we introduce to her brother they spoke so highly of him but that was it. Also the whole mating thing was a little confusing to me I though when shifter mate it was for life so I was confused about Matt predicament. Beside that this was pretty much a entertaining and fast paced read with a Cupid determine to find a stubborn shifter a mate. I can't get enough of this series I can't wait to see what going to happen next. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
I loved this story. Not only had it brought me out of my book funk into something so wonderful but this book was also something that was beyond words. I've read a few works from this author before and I have to say she managed to bring a smile to my face every time. It doesn't matter if I'm in a book funk or just in a bad mood, her books make me brighten up.
CUPID! Come on, that's a love story just in the title. I have to say, I was a little unsure how this author was going to pull it off since there were so many other tried attempts with Cupid. But she'd done it. Amazingly so!
If you haven't tried this series before, you have to! It is bound to make you sigh with love, just as it did with me.
I received this book as an ARC for a honest review.
I have to say that this book was a force to be put down when it was bedtime. I for one was not able to do so. I took a flashlight with me to bed just so I could finish reading it. It is a great read as the author is able to take you to the stars and back!
She was able to take you from one location to another without batting a eye. You get throw into the story even as Cupid pukes on someone or she is kissing another. Just let me say Cupid is not a baby with a bow and arrow!
I fell in love with this little cupid and her yearning to have the love she is always denied. Matt is one stubborn male/shifter, making it even harder for Adora to resist the pull she has toward him. Matt thinks he is happy with the way his life is until Adora shows up with her purple hair and petite figure. Adora is a fierce little ball of light when it comes to protecting those she holds dear and things get a bit rocky when trouble comes to the pack and feelings become stronger. Tami Lund put me on the edge of my seat with this one.
I'm a huge fan of this series and this one is my favorite in the series. I was hooked right from the beginning. I loved Adora. I had this beautiful picture of her my head. One my favorite things about her is her wings. I really liked her personality. One of my favorite parts in the book were her interactions with Matt. I laughed a lot with those two. I thought this book was beautifully done and I just loved the way it ended couldn't have been more perfect. If you haven't read this series you're so missing out!
Matt is a shifter who never wants a mate. His childhood acts with Kat ruined him and he is happy bedding women with nothing more. When Adora the Cupid is assigned to find his mate, Matt doesn't take kindly to the notion but soon discovers that a mate is all he wants. With determination and a whole lot of drama and danger, they make it through and find love and life. A Cupid and a Shifter:::A perfect match ❤️❤️❤️
She is a cupid that is not very good at her job and her last chance to keep her wings is not going well. The shifter she is supposed to help does not want a mate. When these two start falling for each other, the fun really starts.
I loved the story. It is a fun read. If you have read the other books in the series, you will see some of your favorite characters.
