It’s finally over! All those weeks of frantically refreshing A03 as soon as I got home, EVERY SINGLE DAY, to see if new chapters were up, have now come to an end. And what an end it was. Seriously, epilogue PERFECTION!

An easy full 5 stars for this memorable Sterek treat, because no WIP has ever held me this captivated, making me laugh, cry, swoon, and cry again.

I loved it.

Without a doubt, one of DW's best.

Multiple POV's, brrrrrrilliant scene setting and sense of place, and emotions and tension and humor, oh my!

Characterization is top notch.

I love this alt-verse!!!!

I loved this Sterek fanfic from DW. Everything was different in this one except for one thing....the love that Derek and Stiles have for each other. And Peter was actually likable in this version lol.

DW always good or both humour and feels, both are present. Also there's something delicious about her 'nice' Peter, he has that edge.

No one does Sterek like Lisa does.

I’m always immediately sucked in whenever there’s a new DW Sterek fic. And this was no exception.

This was filled with action and had all the pack feels. I also really love Peter like this, nice, but ruthless.

If there’s one thing I wanted differently it was that this had almost no romance. Stiles and Derek kiss at the end and then we get an epilogue.

But it was still very good.

It's Sterek. By DW (aka LH)...of course it's good. Really good. And again I find myself wishing she'd held the reigns in writing the actual show episodes. *sigh*

Angsty and sweet! Loved how this one played out, especially with Peter not being a creepy asshole!

Stiles was Stiles and I loved how Derek found himself again.

Also fun was the interaction between the Sheriff and Peter..how fun to see what’s happening there!

I <3 DW! Literally the first thing I've done when I woke up for the past 25 mornings is roll over, grab my phone, and read the new Baby Daddy chapter! WIP's are hard for me because I lose the emotional thread, but each chapter can almost stand alone with how good plot and character development are. This was so sweet and Derek just broke my jaded cynical heart as usual. I liked how their connection was soft and gentle and not a source of drama. I'm totally gonna give it a few months and then come back and read this all in one go!

Can't wait for the Peter/Sheriff chapter, I SO CALLED IT!!!

This wasn't as romantic as I like my romances - more about the bonds between Derek, Laura, and Peter than it was truly a Sterek fic - but it was a lovely, well crafted story with a sweet surprise ending that made me smile.

I don't know about this one.

It at times didn't even feel like I was reading a DW fic.

I'm not a fan of the setup for this either. It made me uncomfortable, and not just the baby part.

I mostly enjoyed it though, mostly.

I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish, so there is that.

Aww, that was cute. Derek was a bit too angsty for my taste. I wanted Stiles more BAMF and Peter was unexpectedly... tame. But this is DiscontentedWinter. She can do no wrong with a story.

I really liked this universe where Laura gets to grow into the Alpha role. Where Stiles is unaware of the paranormal world and has to deal with mundane crisis like paying the bills while his dad recovers from a shooting. Where Derek is consumed with guilt but not to the extent where it leads to death and more guilt and instead gives him a chance at redemption and a chance at happily ever after. Where Peter is the left hand of the pack; he's not warm and cuddly but he gets the job done, inside and outside the pack. And anyway, I wouldn't be able to read a story where Peter is not a step away from madness and destruction.

I was a bit surprised when the Sheriff was easily on board with killing Kate. I was expecting his moral compass to be intransigent. It worked with the dynamic of the group. I was hoping for more focus on the baby and how Stiles would forge a relationship. But maybe he was too young to done the father role... not until he had a few years spent with Derek, at least. A nice ending and match making: Laura with Parrish, Stiles with Derek (naturally). And a Claudia Talia Hale-Stilinski to seal the deal.
