On November 30, 2016, Hurricane Nina hit Bali, Indonesia. Eight Strangers. Eight Unique Stories. All Stand-alone Novels.
In the aftermath of death and destruction, eight strong sexy men will realize it’s time for a change in their lives. A resolution of sorts. A contractor, personal trainer, a millionaire, a stuntman, a rock star, a thrill-seeker, an army veteran, and a trust fund prodigal will all find a way to conquer their loss and learn to love. This is Kip's story.
Hollywood stunt man Kip Rocklyn loves taking risks, using his skills to cheat death. After nature gives him a tragic dose of reality testing, he wonders if he’s just a kid refusing to grow up. But can he fit in a world where he doesn’t hurl his body through space or race a motorcycle at breakneck speeds? Would a woman’s love make it possible?
Mina Winthrop has always been a straight arrow, with strict parents she had never even considered disobeying. And she dates men who never veer off the narrow path. Trouble is none of them turn her on. Which is why she’s got a secret problem—she is still a virgin at twenty-seven. And she’s decided Kip Rocklyn is the perfect man to rid her of that.

Big Hollywood stuntman gets injured and goes back home to rest and reflect. He meets possibly the most emotionally stunted woman ever and brings her out of her shell. Kip needs to reflect on his career and his future and Mina amazingly becomes the one to show him the way.
Hunky Kip Rocklyn earns his living as a Hollywood stuntman - performing death defying acts is all in a days work for him. When he's on location in Bali, he befriends a teen who wants to follow in those same footsteps... but instead dies in the aftermath of Hurricane Nina. Kip is devastated with guilt, drinks to assuage the pain, and nearly gets himself killed while performing another stunt. Which all leaves him feeling vulnerable and unsure about what to do next. Has he lost his edge? Should he grow up and get a "real job" ?
Enter Mina Winthrop, who works for Kip's brother in law. Her ultra-strict parents never allowed her to stray from a narrowly defined path, which at 27 she's still walking. (And still a *gulp* virgin.) Kip's daredevil personality is the complete opposite of everything she is and every guy she's ever dated... and yet she's like a moth drawn to a flame. He's staying at his sister's home while recovering from his injuries, and the pair strike an unlikely deal. She'll give him lessons on having a "grownup" job, and he'll give her lessons in love. And relieve her of her "pesky V-card"... and yet things aren't ever as simple as that.
I really loved how the author set this in an established "world" with characters she'd already created but not introduced to each other. After reading this, I'm excited to go find the other books with the Rocklyn family and catch up on all of them - and yet, that didn't take anything away from this stand-alone story. Kip and Mina are complete opposites, but as we all know from high school chemistry, opposites most definitely attract. I loved how Mina smoothed Kip's rough edges, and wish Mina had let go and admitted she enjoyed some of Kip's edgier moves. It bothered me that she couldn't let go enough to admit to a secret thrill when riding on the back of his motorcycle. I mean, come on. There's a little bit of bad in every good little girl, no matter how much sh*t her parents put her through.
I'm totally looking forward to reading more from this author!!
Kip brings out Mina's adventurous side & Mina calms Kip's wild
Kip (the baby brother to Shannon & Raina from the Rocklyn books) has come to stay at Shannon & Tate's for the summer while they're away to recover from a stunt gone wrong & to figure out if it is really what he wants to keep doing. While there he meets (again) Tate's assistant, Mina, who has harbored a huge crush on Kip since she first saw a pic of him and decides he'll be the perfect person to relieve her of her vcard discreetly and pleasurably since she still has it at 27. They're both sweet, kinda clueless in their differences, and in the end, perfect for each other. Which, despite their chemistry, involves a lot of bumbling on both their parts. I loved this quick read. And how can I not enjoy a story that has them meeting again while he's naked? Loved! We get to see the Rocklyn clan and learn more about the daredevil baby brother. I can't wait to read Tucker's HEA. I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Stunt double Kip feels guilty after a daredevil teen he gave a motorcycle to in Bali died during the hurricane. He hasn’t been focused on his work and that caused him to get hurt and be out of commission from his job for a few months. He decides to hang out at his sister Shannon and her husband Trent’s house when he runs into Mina, Trent’s assistant. Mina has a crush on Kip and her friend suggests him as the perfect person to relieve her of her virginity. They become friends and when Kip takes her up on her offer their hearts get involved. But Kip is only there temporarily. He’ll be going back to Hollywood soon. And Mina feels like she could never measure up to the actresses he spends time with. I loved that she reconnected with her brother after a difficult childhood and he showed her that she needed to believe she was worthy of love. This was a sweet and sexy romance with plenty of humor.
Kip Rocklyn is a super sexy stunt man reassessing his career while he recovers from an accident, at a low eb, and wracked with guilt from the death of a kid he bought a motorcycle for in Bali, Kip is on the brink of giving up the life he knows and loves. Mina has grown up under the shadow of her poisonous parents, believing she will never quite be good enough for anything. Spurred on by her friend, she approaches Kit with an offer he can't refuse. A bit of angst, an unusual arrangement, and great characters, made this steamy novella a page turner for me. I shall definitely be reading more by this author!
A boring, sheltered young lady asks a sexy Hollywood actor to give her sex lessons. That's more than I want to know already. She doesn't have much to offer in exchange. They have a rocky start. Fussing, whining, kissing, moving on. I hated that they ended up living where they did. That ruined any hope I had for them and their future.
