I start by saying I loved this cover! I liked this book over all it had a great storyline,but the characters just didn't interest me at all. Michaelson is a great writer ,so I will check out his other books.

Absolutely loved it
I love a good romance and paranormal book. I've read all this authors work and loved every one because they are so different and there seems to be no end to his talent. He can flick from one genre to another and still his writing is spectacular. But I have to say this one is a story not to be missed and definately one of my top favourite books to read.
Sebastian is an old vampyre that likes his own space, away from his own kind, and although he sticks to the vampire code, will he do so now he's met the one? Sebastian is drawn into a little shop after looking at a cross but was this just a coincidence or was this fate stepping in. You can't help but love the characters from this story and Sebastian is a true gent until something or someone comes to threaten someone he loves. Sebastian and all his kind fall in love hard even though it's against the vampire code to love humans it does happen. I give this book 5 stars because it's a story that keeps your turning the pages but also I feel his writing in this one is profound and the impact of the story hold no bounds. I just wish I had the next one so I could see what happens and how this story unfolds.

I am a fan of PNR so there was no doubt I would be reading this book just from looking at the delicious cover. The story of Sebastian and Adriel is unique while at the same time sticking with the unwritten expectations of a vampire story. This story has all the Zane Michaelson signature writing traits of putting emotions into his words and pulling you into the story.
For those that have never read a vampire book or a PNR book, this one is a great place to start. It of course does have some biting, but who doesn't like a good bite every now and then. It has the needed heat and steam. It is not gory, or bloody. And you can feel the pull of the connection between Sebastian and Adriel in more ways than one and there is no doubt about his willingness to protect her, and the desire that is building...…

This does end in a slight cliffhanger, so I don't yet know how the story ends, but I am looking forward to the ride to the end. I encourage anyone that enjoys a Steamy Romance to give it a read.

I love a good vampire story, and I cannot tell you enough how much I loved this one!! It's got real bite!!
Sebastian Gabriel Fernandez is beautiful. He's tall, handsome, rich, famous, and......a Nightwalker. Ducking into an antique curio shop to feed his obsession with, of all things, crosses, his immortal life is turned on it axis. He's found her. The One. His kind have searched for The One for centuries., and law dictates he should alert the Council at once. But, she's beautiful and she's his. Now, he'll need to keep her safe from the others or he'll lose her forever.
Adriel Zilkha took over running the shop when her grandfather became to ill to continue. She's seen many come and go from her shop, but she's never seen anyone like him. Sebastian. He's the most beautiful man she's laid eyes on. Ever. But, strange happenings occurring whenever he's near has her questioning who, or what, she is. When the truth is revealed, will Sebastian be her Savior, or her destroyer?
I've read my share of vampire stories. I love them. They're sexy, and the stories are usually action-packed and sensual all at the same time. Mr. Michaelson does not disappoint an any of these fronts, and the angle he has taken is not one I've come across before! This is book one, so expect unfinished business, but you'll be longing to sink your teeth in to book 2, just like I am!!

Zane has made a change in genre here and written us a Paranormal Romance, and has TOTALLY NAILED IT!!!!!!! Absolutely Brilliant read!!!!
Sebastian is a 312 year old Vampire who in his past life was involved with the Church, and loved all that it stood for. He's a total gentleman, that follow's the rule's of his kind but very sympathetic to all human's and there way of life. While admiring a silver cross in an Antic's store one day, he meets the very captivating Adriel Zilkha and is immediately drawn to her and senses a difference in her, that has him thinking maybe she could be The One. This story takes us on a journey through time, to other Immortal being's and how Adriel fit's into this equation?
I absolutely loved this phenomenal story and Zane's perfection to detail's as he took us into a different direction with his story telling.

This was a wonderful book from the first page to the last. Great story line, well developed characters(the naughty and seductive vampire Sebastian is one of my all time favorites! ) and an unpredictable twist at the end that leaves the reader itching to read book two in the series. I highly recommend The One.

This was my first vampire story and I didn't know what to expect..
It drew me in right from the start and held me till the end, and left me wanting more I didn't want to put it down.
I knew if anyone could get me to love a vampire story it would be Zane Michaelson I wasn't disappointed..
Zane Michaelson again brought his characters to life
I loved Sebastian you get to see him fall in love with Adriel is she the one?
By the end I was so into this story that when I turned the last page and saw to be continued I really felt like throwing my kindle at the wall!!!

Sebastians Sire, kept me intrigued from start to finish.
The three are now on the run after Sebastian's misdemeanor.
Will they make it safely to Venice or be captured on the way?
Guess we'll have to wait for the the next book......

What an outstanding story, it captured me from page one. I wasn’t able to put it down. I’ve loved PRN books for a long time but this one is definitely a must read. The way Sebastian can see into your soul and will leave you wanting more. I'm so ready to read the next story, I highly recommend you pick up a copy today.

The One grabbed my attention the minute I saw the cover. The story within the pages kept me up all night.
I don’t read paranormal. I’m not a fan of the fantasy, unrealistic world in many of the PNR I have tried to read previously. The One is not set in the fantastical world. It is written in the modern world with a believable story. Vampires that hide among us mortals.
I love this story. So I guess I can’t say I don’t like or read PNR. I now have a PNR style I like and this is it.
Sebastian is everything I want in a book boyfriend. Sexy, funny, protective and oh btw, a blood sucking vampire. The sex is blazing hot. A must have in my romance books.
Adriel’s has a strong personality . She has a lot going on yet she doesn’t cower away. I’m anxious to learn more about her and how she will fit into the vampire world with Sebastian.
As is Zane Michaelson’s style, he left me wanting more and will keep me waiting a month or so for answers. It’s not a frustrating cliffhanger and thankfully he never makes his fans wait too long.
As they say ‘Anything worth having is worth waiting for’
Well, I’m waiting.....
If you believe you don’t like paranormal, as I did, I highly recommend you give this story a try. It might change your mind too.

Absolutely brilliantly phenomenal! Zane has switched genre's and wriiten a Paranormal Romance and he's hit it out of the park! I love a great vampire story and I was not disappointed. This story has mystery, passion, love, and you will love Sebastian and Adriel and the connection snd chemistry between them. This is a 5 star read, and I can't wait for book

This short story is amazing. I normally don't read paranormal because they're just too weird but this author has written one heck of a good book. It's well written and the story flows and captivates you from the beginning until the end. Can't wait to read another one.

This was my first book by this author. I love a good vampire romance. This one did NOT disappoint. So much so, now, I'm reading through the authors whole collection of books. Try one. Pick any of his books up,and you might find yourself a new to you author.

I read this is one sitting and loved it! The author has changed his genre for this one and did a great job. Paranormal is an intense subject and he nailed it full on. It has the drama, secrets, vampire antics and does not let you down. The characters are great, the chosen one is found and he will do anything to protect her. He can read minds, and sometimes doesn't like what he hears. She (the chosen one) is new to paranormal and didn't have a clue until he came into her life.
Together, they are trying to find a way to fix this sticky situation, and along with another is determined to find out what can be done to save her and himself from the higher ups.
It is a great read with everything that goes into it. Hot as hades in some places, secrets that haven't been answered, some that have. An emotional rollercoaster of feelings about an awesome story, humans and the other world. Can't wait for the next one to continue with this great story. Highly recommend as a great read.

There’s a new Vampire to top the genre...Sebastian Fernandez...
I love vampire books and when you add other beings into the mix, I’m in heaven. They have to tick all of my boxes though. Gorgeous, sexy, bad ass vampire. Feisty female heroine who likes to have her neck bitten. Secondary characters that you love, hate or love to hate. A plot that is interesting and that I care what happens next. Zane Michaelson has well and truly ticked all my boxes. The One is a spectacular tale of vampires in modern times. I love the instant connection between Sebastian and Adriel. No compulsion required either. Adriel is thrown into a world she knew nothing of and didn’t run off screaming into the night. She wants to find out more and she wants to do it with Sebastian by her side. I won’t reveal plot spoilers because I don’t like to ruin others enjoyment of a book. I am so looking forward to the next in the series. Highly recommended 5 stars totally deserved.

This was my first PNR read from Zane Michaelson and l have to say l was pleasantly surprised . I am not a fan of this genre usually but l did enjoy this story very much, and looking forward to the next book. It has some funny references to music and fashion that had me rolling my eyes and laughing out loud. But who doesn't love a good romance story and this is quintessentially a beautiful love story that is blossoming before our very eyes..
Sebastian and Adreil make a formidable pair, and knowing that they have huge hurdles to overcome has me wondering will they get their happily ever after?
We will have to wait to find out in the continuation of this vampyre love story..

I don't usually like vampire books but I did like this one, I liked that not all the characters are vampires and that the book wasn't all just crawling with only vampires. I don't like books where everyone is a vampire, I like it when some of the characters are humans and we have to see how they can get on with a vampire, which is what this book seems to be about (wouldn't know yet because I haven't finished reading the whole series, so you can't be sure if some of the characters are human or they just appear to be, but so far there seem to be humans too). The only thing I hate about Zane's books is that they always end on a cliffhanger and then you always have to wait such a long time before you can read the next book!

Fantastic series starter!
It’s been a while since I’ve read a vampire story so having read and loved other books by Zane Michaelson (and those co-written with his wife Jenna), I knew I had to read this series!
Sebastian and Adriel hooked me from their first meeting as the shock of their first touch created a lot of intrigue as to who she truly was.
I love how the history of the Vampyre Council and The One is seamlessly interwoven into the narrative and the loyalty that Sebastian’s sire Sienna has towards them both.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a vampire story so having read and loved other books by Zane Michaelson (and those co-written with his wife Jenna), I knew I had to read this series!
Sebastian and Adriel hooked me from their first meeting as the shock of their first touch created a lot of intrigue as to who she truly was.
I love how the history of the Vampyre Council and The One is seamlessly interwoven into the narrative and the loyalty that Sebastian’s sire Sienna has towards them both.

Dark and sexy
The One is the first book in Zane Michaelson's newest series and a great read. Sebastian has 2 sides to him. The darker side where he is ruthless and cold and the caring side where he will do anything to protect the woman he loves. Adriel is a very special woman and because of her abilities in great danger. Sebastian is drawn to her in a way he can't explain. Knowing her abilities Sebastian has to protect her from the wrath of the vampyre council.
This book ends in a cliffhanger and will make you excited for book 2. I really liked this book and the suspense in it. It kept me on edge and with my nose in the book. Looking forward to dig into book 2.

I HATE YOU ZANE!!!!!
I’m a lover of Vampire Books so when I learnt Zane was writing one I had to one click it!!!
It was fantastic to the point I couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t get enough of Sebastian and Adriel so now I have to sit and wait for the next one. It was exciting and at no point in this book did I get bored.
I can’t wait for the next book but if Zane was in the same room as me. My eyes would be glowing red. I hate cliffhangers 😂

Brilliant!!!
My first ever vampire story and as with all his other books, Zane didn't disappoint. Sebastian's hot, sexy confidence and apparent ego made me smirk from the offset and I loved the chatty nature of the dialogue, chuckling at many of the lines and references. The storyline and characters were exciting and intruiging. I was enraptured and am now a vampire fan........if they are anything like Sebastian. I can't wait for book two.

Zane Michaelson has written an amazing book with Sebastian a vampire and Adriel a woman that he meets one day.There is passion, mystery, lust, and sheer power. I loved reading this, and this will draw you in. I enjoy vampire novels and this one was beyond words. Zane Michaelson writing pulls you into the story. He writes with such passion, that you can't put any of his books down. I can't wait for book 2. I wonder what surprises will await us. This is a must, must, must sexy and hot read.

Another 5 star read by Zane Michaelson. Even though this book is different from his others, Zane didn't disappoint.
Who doesn't love a sexy vampire Sebastian Fernandez is just that, mysterious, gorgeous, hot and sexy. He meets Adriel Zilha and is immediately and intensely drawn to her.
This story is intriguing and draws you in from the very beginning. This book is a must read. Can't wait for Book 2, to venture into the world of Sebastian and Adriel.

Thoroughly enjoyed!!!
Even though this was only a tad over 100 pages, I enjoyed every single one and I look forward to the second book in this series, Dangerous Games. This is my first time reading a book by Zane Michaelson and it most definitely won't be the last. I'm excited to find out more about Sebastian, Adriel, Sienna and what's in store for them, as well as Adriel's family. A great and exciting read!
