About the author

Wrenching, Racing and Road Running is just what I do. Born to share story's of my life's adventures on 2 wheels from the road. My first experience was with my family BMX racing team. Weekends in the old family winnebago where the best and, nothing was ever the same again. Starting to work a more “stable” 9 to 5 type job and quickly found that skoots could help me put my creative talents to good use with a ton of wrenching and racing. I may work during the day but my evenings that are not spent doing the dad thing are sucked up in my little carriage shed of a workshop. I have been a member of Abate of California Local #27 here in Riverside for many years serving on it's board in various positions and currently serve as President. A few years ago, my Pops and I started a land speed racing team with him as chase vehicle driver and my Son as Crew Chief. This was on top of the already hectic racing schedule I had with the stampede cross country chopper race and some little bike racing on the side. It has all taken me to the farthest and nearest points of these United States of America on my 2 wheeled machines.
These days; as a single dad it's all about my little dude and me, on a mission from God - doing the most unpopular skoot racing in the world. Landspeed racing, cross country chopper racing, little bike racing, flat track racing and even some fun on my big old goldwing, sometimes with a little trailer towing another skoot.
I am a rider, musician, friend, lover, writer and most of all father to my 2 awesome children and look forward to sharing some of my stories of all the above with you because, I like to write a little and put my meager Community College education to the test. Check out my webpage or find me on the social media's, American Road Runner The Book.

Adventure. Philosophy. Action. Sex. Humor. Grief. This book has everything. I started with the paperback, but couldn’t resist switching to the audiobook, read by the author himself. The reading adds significantly to the story.

Though the story revolves around a cross-country motorcycle race, you don’t have to be a biker to enjoy it. It’s about much more than motorcycles. It’s about family, pushing beyond limits, freedom, camaraderie, and a competitive spirit.

This read is highly recommended!

Ok, in the interest of honesty. This particular author is my baby brother, so I kind of like him, but I would tell, you or him for that matter that his book sucked, if it did. Bob does a great job painting the picture in your minds eye of the adventure he has been on. I enjoyed this book very much.
