The Drift: Astek Station #1-3

The Drift Bundle: Books 1-3

Rate this book
***Three steamy cyborg romances from the Sci-fi romance series, The Drift***

Out on the edge of civilized space is a rag-tag collection of space stations and platforms known as the Drift. It’s a haven for the hunted, the lost, and those seeking second chances. The ones who live there hail from every species, class, and corner of the galaxy, but they all have one thing in common: they don’t belong anywhere else.

It’s a world of its own. One where corporations rule, the laws are flexible, and everything is for sale, for the right price.

Welcome to the Drift.

Book One: Double Down

When it comes to love, sometimes the best bet is to double down.

Kit and Luke Armas are cyborgs created for one purpose, battle. Now that the war is over, they must fight to carve out a place for themselves in a universe they were intended to die for but never be a part of.

Book Two: All In
When love is the prize, the only way to win is to go all in.

The Resource Wars may have ended, but for the cyborgs created to fight in them, the battle for acceptance is far from over. Former soldiers Toro and Jaeger have been on the move since they left military service. They’re looking for more than their next payday; they want to find a place to call home.

Book Three: Wild Card

The game of love can change in a heartbeat when fate deals you a wild card.

Technician Lieksa Kiv saw firsthand what the corporations did to their cyborg soldiers during the Resource Wars. Her job: repair their damaged cybernetic components and send them back into battle. When a stolen kiss reveals the truth about her charges, Lieksa sacrifices everything to protect the cyborgs’ secret, including a future with the men she’s fallen for.

Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. I loved these stories. All In wasn't my favorite in this box set. It was more sex scenes than story IMHO. But the overall arc of the series is interesting. I like the characters. I like the sci-fi parts like the anti gravity arboretum and the blue alien woman named Zura. I kind of wish there was less sex and more story. I really do want to continue with the series to find out what happens to the drug cartel and the what the corporations will do about the cyborgs.

ura,four 🌟🌟🌟🌟and half 🌟

I bought the Drift collection as a bookbub deal. I've never read anything by her before, I'm so very happy I took the chance. I love cyborg romances and this one has a new take that I enjoyed reading. Zura, Kit and Luke's story was passionate, and beautifully told. Three beings looking for love and total acceptance of who they were and who they've become. When they fix each other they find a would feel bond and a true place to call home. Book 2 involved Cynder, Jaeger and Toro 's relationship. Each of these lone!y souls deeply scared from war and the abuse they endured from the corporations. Together they find away to learn how to trust again and find a love and true acceptance that neither of the 3 have experienced. They also being to uncover deeper secrets from their past that will have serious consequences for three future. The last of the box set is Lieksa, Dash and Mack's story this one gets further involved in the corporation 's secrets that threaten to ruin the good life that the cyborgs and their mates have built. Friendships and true families have been formed and knowledge is power but it can also bring danger. These 3 started out as a very taboo secret if caught the consequences would have been dire. Each thought the other was dead and by happenstance are brought together again . Love reigns and these 3 hold on to Each other for dear life as they hunt down an assassin and uncover more secrets that bring everyone together! Along with all the danger a d intrigue passion and love rule the day! I can't wait to read more!💖💖💖

Cyborgs, A Good Read. 4 Star's

I'm glad I decided to acquire the box set in "The Drift Series" for less than $1, as I'm sure I wouldn't have brought each book separately for the asking price otherwise.
I did enjoy each of the 3 stories in this box set, and would like to read more, as the storyline is becoming so much more interesting and the plot thickens with each book, that I'm now all for acquiring book 4 in this series.
Each book centres around Cyborg soldiers after the Resource War, and their right to live and love free within the civilian population, after almost being destroyed by the powers that be, all because they were not born, but made in a lab.
Each book draws you in, leaving you wanting to know what happens next, and how it will all play out in the end.
Lies, betrayals, misunderstandings, evil bad guys, Cyborg alpha male's and female's, A Blue skinned sexy pilot and so much more, with a sizzling amount of heat.
I would recommend you give this box set, for less than a dollar, a try and decide for yourself.
For me personally, by the end of the 3rd book, I thought it was worth more then the asking price.

The collection features books 1-3 of the Drift series and a short and sweet extra. I have reviewed each book individually, so if you'd like in depth detail, please see them.

The Drift is a sci-fi romance series that features cyborgs very heavily. There are a multitude of other races as well, though most are humanoid at least. The Drift is actually a place located along the outer edges of civilized space that tends to cater to the rough and tumble and/or the working class. A perfect place for cyborgs who are still fighting to be seen as more than just machines among the races of the universe.

You can expect action, adventure, steamy romance, relationship drama, humor in the form of good meaning friends and siblings, and of course, plenty of space faring and corporate espionage. Each of the three books in this features a three way pairing of 2 men and 1 woman, just so you're aware of what you're walking into. Overall, the books are a fun sci-fi romance adventure that will make you want to read more about the citizens of the Drift.

HFN, space fantasy, triads.

All the stories were good, and kept me interested, with likable characters, but to be honest, I had a couple of these separately and only vaguely remembered them as I reread them. After reading the blurbs of future books- I don't recognize their characters except for Book 4. So I will be looking for that one, (and the others) but only if they're deeply, deeply, discounted. Even writing this was hard for me to remember the details in these stories, and like I said- a couple of them I was rereading. Sorry.

The Drift series was my first introduction to Ms. Hayes and I am so glad I picked up Double Down (book 1)This series has all the elements I love - multiple books that can be read as standalones but better in sequence, plenty of romance, action and suspense, and a story line that links them together while giving the characters a HEA. Well written and plotted, if you like syfy romance give it a try. Enjoy!

They all had great storylines that were well developed and they kept me on my toes.

The characters were well developed with brilliant personalities and I love finding out more about them.

I thought that it great overall – it had romance, action and was a sexy book to read too

It is 5 stars from me for this box set – the books were all fantastic and would definitely recommend!

This Isn't It 😢

I love Alpha🐺🍆🌋🔪 alien adult romance! Unfortunately, this gabfest doesn't really fit the bill. I was 😞disappointed in the three books included here. Way too much inane dialogue and not enough adventures and action.
Most of it could have been any contemporary romance on 🌎Earth if you take out The word Cyborg.
The books are well written but the overall story is BORING.

Excellent

I loved this series. I read all 3 books one after the other. Susan's writing was so on spot. You became invested with all the characters and their lives. Each book was a new love story but also included the characters from the other books melding everyone together.

Review for book 1 only, I did not continue.

I really wanted to like this book, and the series. It’s a good premise but it’s need to be longer. Background of characters and development of relationships feels glossed over. I don’t feel the chemistry between the 2 H & the h. The sexy scenes felt flat, boring sand short.

Disappointing!

Soap opera in space

My mum used to watch Days of Our Lives (I think) and over all those interminable years, the storyline barely seemed to progress. This was a lot like that. Everyone is insecure--especially the cyborgs--and the same scenes keep being played out. There's surprisingly little sex, which is okay because its all the same.

Three Good Stories

There are three well written, action packed Sci-Fi romance stories. Plenty of heat and the characters move between the stories. There is a theme running through these three. I plan to get the next in this series to enjoy reading.

Good

I'm surprised how much I enjoyed this series. There is a good balance of action and romance. It is not over the top or unrealistically dramatic. Not sure if I'll continue the series but very happy I read them.

Decent start to a series

World building and characters were ok. Had some action. I won't read it again, but I will read some more of the series. Romance was a bit cheesy. Few typos, mild spice, RH cyborg romance. No swords cross.

Three’s not a Crowd!

This is a great set. All the characters are relatable and well done. The Drift is a lot more expansive than I thought at first, but it makes you think it could be a real place out there somewhere. Great books!
