“They may own me, but they’ll never control me.”

QUINN

I tried running, but he followed me. I hid, but he found me. I couldn’t escape, so I defended myself. Now he’s in a coma, and I’m in prison.

Except, the Walker Center isn’t a normal jail. In here, inmates work. Twelve hours a day, every day. If we misbehave, vicious guards punish us. They strip away our dignity, turn us against each other and rob us of our sanity. No one leaves, except as property.

My only hope may be Reed Nolan, an unapologetic sadist on a mission to break my spirit. He torments me every day, delighting in my pain. Defying him awakens intoxicating, dark desires. My perverse need to be dominated becomes my secret weapon, with every stroke of his whip powering my will to survive, to fight the evil of this place.

My captors are going to pay for what they’ve done. I want to open Reed’s eyes, to turn him against the monster he serves, but if I can’t, I won’t let anyone stand in my way...

“The truth may set you free, but it’ll still hurt.”

REED

For most of my life, I’ve called Lance Prescott a friend. His father, a popular congressman, got me my job at the Walker Center. If not for him, I’d have nothing. So when I learn Lance will never wake again, I vow to make Quinn Harris suffer.

I don’t expect her to resist her captivity, to overcome the despair and hopelessness of her new reality. And when she tells me what really happened to Lance that night, my whole world begins to unravel. Falling for Quinn means questioning everything I thought I knew about the Prescotts, the prison and all their crimes. To win her love, I’ll have to face the hardest truth of all: that I’ve been a villain, not a hero.

Helping Quinn means challenging a massive criminal conspiracy. They’re not afraid to make people disappear – they’ll bury anyone who threatens their empire. Fighting them could cost me everything, but I’ve been complicit in their evil for too long. I’ll do anything to bring them down – even if it means gambling with our lives...

Publisher’s note: “Enslaved” is a dark, romantic thriller with erotic content, no cliffhangers, no cheating and a HEA. It contains material some may find disturbing. Reader discretion is advised.

Once again Sansa has delivered another book I couldn't put down. This one is on the dark side but not as dark as her other reads. It was a great read!!

Enslaved by Sansa Rayne is an incredible read! It is dark, unbelievably dark, gritty, thrilling, uncomfortable to read at time, but is absolutely addicting!

This book discusses some very sensitive issues regarding women, human trafficking and consent, and all in great detail. It can be very uncomfortable at points, especially in regards to consent, and although an addicting read, it can be hard to read at times.

The book also discusses a woman’s sexuality in the word of a dom/sub relationship, especially in regards to Quinn. This book is what it says on a cover. It’s a dark erotic thriller, and you can see that when Quinn not is not only tortured for defending herself, but also discovers her hidden sexual desires throughout. It’s a book that doesn’t mind playing with your mind, curious with Quinn’s life in the facility and wondering what in the world will happen next. This book most certainly keeps you guessing.

Quinn’s character is an enigma, as is Reed’s. They were both placed in this world without much choice, and I enjoyed reading the changes they make with one another throughout the novel. Without giving much away, this book changes these characters in different ways, Quinn in her inner-strength, and Reed in his entire outlook on his life. It was thrilling to see their characters develop, and I loved how feisty and Quinn was, especially with everything that was to and around her.

Enslaved is unlike anything that I have read before. It is unlike any other dark romance novel that I have read before and I seriously enjoyed it! It was an read that had me on the edge of my seat, but wanting to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next. This book is definitely an acquired taste, but for those who love the incredibly dark side of the world, this book for you.

Only read it if you can handle it, though, because it’s not for the faint of heart, but for those who can, enjoy being taken to the dark side!

Having read Erased and Exalted, I was really happy to read Enslaved. I love this particular world that Sansa Rayne has created. And it doesn't matter if you haven't read the other two. They are all in the same world, and the characters from the first two books show up in this one, but they are really tertiary characters, so if you don't know who they are, you aren't going to get lost.

This is intense, it is dark, terrible things happen, and it's sexy af, especially if you are just a little twisted.

Quinn is under arrest and accused of assault because she put a Senator's son in a coma. Of course, he was trying to rape her and her friend at the time, and all she did was push him, she didn't mean to push him toward the window, but she wouldn't've helped him not fall out the window. Frankly, neither would I.

But the Senator has a very, very private prison that is used to help reform women and get them out of the prison system at large, so he forges Quinn's name on the papers, and off she goes to Walker. Only, Walker isn't nice at all, and reform comes at the end of the whip.

Reed was Lance's friend. That makes Quinn his special job. He is supposed to break her and make her ready for the Senator to own her after the election. The problem is, Quinn is stubborn, strong, determined, and gets off on being whipped. Even worse, when Quinn tells Reed her story, he starts to believe her, which makes everything hard.

Reed seems too stupid to live sometimes. I just wanted to smack him upside his head. He would get that person A was bent and Person C was bent, but Person B, who was the only one connecting A and C was a blind spot and he would think that there was nothing bent about them. I mean, he needed a cluex4 upside the back of the head, and it might have made things easier. Maybe Quinn should've got to use his paddle on his butt.

Quinn is super fierce and she will fight and did fight. She did what she thought was necessary, even though it wasn't always the right thing to do. I really liked her a lot.

I would love to see Reed and Quinn work with the other couples from the other books. I think that would be great.

Have you ever read or heard something that you wish with all your heart you could go back to that moment before you were aware of it? Because having your eyes opened to it, is too much to handle. It’s like a bad train wreck that you can’t unsee and is too horrific to look away from at the same time. Now imagine you are part of this horrible thing you have just been made aware of and there’s no help for you. You are totally helpless and at the mercy of your captors. This is what Quinn faces. She’s in college and out with a friend, in the wrong place at the right time, when rich boy Lance shows up at the party making a pass at her. His daddy has power and is a congressman. Quinn has to defend herself and during the process, Lance trips and is in a coma. Instead of going to prison, Quinn is offered a deal. Go to a new rehab place the court system offers for first time offenders for a whole lot less time than prison. The only thing is, this rehab is run by the congressman and his cronies. A lot of judges and other powerful people are part of it. The women here are beaten and abused in more ways than one on a daily basis. But the worst is yet to come. At the end of their five year sentence, or however long, they aren’t free. There’s something else planned for them. Something far worse. Quinn’s options seem hopeless. It will take a miracle for her. She finds it in one of the worst prison guards. One who happens to be Lance’s best friend and also the one the other women call a monster. But how can he help her?

This was the most twisted and psychological read I’ve read in a while. I was scared out of my wits. There were so many emotions, pain, horror, despair, anguish, helplessness, everything the prisoners felt. There was also triumph at the end and throughout at parts. It’s always interesting to see just how far the human mind will go before it breaks and says no more. Rage and anger rises up to replace fear. Quinn got to pay back the guards and people who owned the place. It was great. I loved how well the characters were written. I can’t wait to read the author’s other books.

This book is my introduction to this author and I will definitely will be reading more of her books. Dark romance is one of my favourite genres and this book delivered. I loved the fight in the heroine, she was strong willed and selfless. There are some twists and turns you won’t see coming.

A case of self defence results in Quinn facing trial for manslaughter or quite possibly murder. She’s given an option to face trial or spend twelve months at Walker Work Centre for women. There was no way she could of known what kind of hell awaits her. Falling into a rabbit hole where she is surrounded by pain and corruption from the highest order. Where men are twisted and evil and her fellow inmates refuse to associate with her. Somehow Quinn manages to find friendship and love in Reed the man who tries to break her! Even though the inmates hate her eventually they see things from her perspective or do they? Quinn finds her greatest ally has many secrets and is almost blindsided by her. With so many conflicting opinions the only thing she can trust is herself.

Out of the books I read in this series I think this one is the darkest. I wasn't so sure Reed was going to be redeemable. Quinn was so strong even when everything was against her she didn't give up. I enjoyed this read. It's twisted for sure. Would recommend to anyone who likes dark books. If you don't this won't be your cup of tea.

~Can’t break this~

What an amazing story! Quinn Harris’ was mapped out already. Until it suddenly turn a turn straight into hell, and it looks like she will never get out. But Quinn is absolutely fierce, one of the strongest wills and characters I have come across. What happens to her would definitely break many spirits - this is one brutally dark story, with finally a bright light at the end. Never give up hope and pray you have good instincts to make the right choices!

BRAVO for this riveting read!

Sansa, you did it again! I love your kind of darkness, the one where you think there’s no way out and yet.....?

In this story,it’s Quinn who gets stuck between a rock and a hard place. And all because she and her friend Lydia turn down the spoilt son of congressman Prescott,Lance Prescott. He doesn’t take no for an answer and after defending herself against him, things go horribly wrong for Quinn. Lance ends up in a coma and Quinn ends up in the Walker Center. Reed is a warden there, known for his ability to break every prisoner he gets his hands on. And Quinn is responsible for his friend Lance’s coma.....right? Only things aren’t what he thought they were......So,what does that make Quinn? And what does that make him?

Thank you Sansa, for giving me the chance to read this ARC,i loved this dark beauty!

This book totally had me captivated. Intense, raw, erotic and emotional.

When good girls do bad things they are sent to a dark place, with secrets that run deep and are handled in the most horrific ways. Yet there is one stand out who does not back down and refuses to break. Her will and strength bring her close to a guard who she earns a trust with. Together they promise to bring the evil doers to their knees and bring freedom to these lost girls.

This book is not for everyone. Definite triggers.

Enslaved captured me from the very beginning with the interesting story line and endearing characters.
This book had an interesting twist on captives and BDSM. I loved how the story flowed from one moment to the next.
The reader imagines what the characters are struggling with and feels their feelings.

First, the warnings.... This story is full of triggers. There are situations of abuse and sexual assault described, some in detail, and fairly frequently. Women are subjected to humiliation and degradation on a daily basis. If these actions might be a trigger for you, you'll want to pass on this one.

Now, to the review.... I personally thought this was an excellent book. Yes, it was very difficult to read at times. Yes, I was angry throughout most of the story. Behind the Walker Center was political corruption of a whole new level, it was political corruption on steroids. However, this story filled me with hope, too. I loved Quinn and thought she was an amazing woman. From the moment she met Lance Prescott until present day she had to fight for her life. The odds were stacked against her. It would have been so easy to fall into a pit of despair and give up. Not Quinn. She was tough, mentally and physically. She never gave up on righting the injustices thrown at her. Reed would be so easy to hate, but I loved him, too. Yes, he had done a lot of unspeakable acts, but there was more to him than what we originally saw. Reed was willing to listen, open his mind, and realize that maybe the Prescotts weren't as perfect as he thought. He was willing to go down in order to make things right.

The cast of supporting characters was great, too. Their stories will break your heart. But, each one will have you cheering for them..... no matter what they have to do to survive. I can't wait to read more by this author!

This is a well written, enthralling story about the employees and inhabitants of a rehabilitation facility for women. In the brochure everything appears pretty benign. The reality however is much darker. It’s actually a secluded prison for women offenders – being groomed for private servitude to rich and powerful men. The guards are diligent in their duties, inflicting punishments at any and all infractions with the sole purpose to break the women’s spirits. Reed Nolan is a master at his job – where else can a Dominant sadist employ his depraved desires, all in a day’s work? He doesn’t count on Quinn Harris though, a fiery, defiant, inmate who’s naturally submissive and a budding masochist. They are truly a match made in heaven. I loved the blossoming romance between these two and the struggles each had coming to grips with the reality of the Walker Center. The story flowed smoothly with several surprises and a few twists that I hadn’t anticipated. There’s also plenty of drama, suspense and intrigue, some BDSM torture along with several seriously steamy, erotic encounters.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a dark, intense, complex, erotic, thrilling story, full of corruption and intimidation and pain. Quinn never meant to hurt the Congressman’s son. She merely protected herself to prevent a rape. It was a defensive action that caused him to end up in a coma.

Forced by the Congressman to enter The Walker Work Center instead of enduing a trial and possibly a prison sentence, Quinn enters a life-style she never dreamed was possible or even endurable. As it turns out, this is not only a work center. It is a cruel and efficient punishment facility. Specific women are used and abused and forced to work for no pay at all. They are trained and compelled to endure extreme pain in order to be ready to be sold to rich men. Quinn is a strong, secure woman who refuses to give in to the intimidation or the horrendous retribution applied by the guards for any reason whatsoever.

This is the first book by Sansa Rayne that I have read. Once I began, it was impossible to stop. It was exciting and frightening and totally engrossing. I loved the anger of the women and the caring that evolved because of Quinn. If you enjoy dark reads, this book is a definite YES!

I received this book as an arc, to voluntarily leave an honest review. Quinn almost kills a prominent politicians son at a college frat party. She is not formerly charged, and she has not had a court hearing or a trial, but she is sent immediately to the Walker Prison, this is where her nightmare begins. The other women prisoners hate her, and Reed the guard assigned to her wants to make her suffer, and is out for revenge. As the story moves along, the women, Quinn, and Reed come together for one common goal. This is a very dark, deranged, and twisted story. The characters are well developed, the story is well written, and is written in Quinn and Reed's pov. This is the 4th book I've read by this author, for me this is her darkest story yet. I was glad to see that Marla, Helena and Carson, made an appearance. "Enslaved" was a good read, and can be read as a standalone, but you should really read Sansa Rayne's other books. I really enjoyed this book. If you like dark, psycopathic stories, this book is for you. :-)

A deliciously dark, twisted & suspenseful romance guaranteed to keep a reader’s attention.
The plot is full of twists and extremity well-written with characters on opposing ends of the justice system, they portray their emotional turmoil with realistic traits & different sides to their personality.
It is about: a young woman (Quinn Harris) who defends herself against a man (Lance Prescott) & is sent to a place called “The Walker Center” where the inmates are treated very sadistically. One man (Reed Nolan) is a friend to the Prescott family and vows to make Quinn pay for her crime until he finds out what really happened.
There is: corrupt government officials/politicians/law enforcement, sadistic guards, FBI, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, threats, danger, attempted sexual assault, prison, slavery, auctions, greed, evil, danger, punishment, BDSM, sexual torture, explicit sexual scenes, despair, hopelessness, depravity, punishment, physical torture, betrayal, discovery, realization, death, a rescue, a set-up, arrests, immunity deals, friendship, trust & love

Enslaved is a suspenseful dark romance from author Sansa Rayne. It tells the story of Quinn Harris who was found guilty of trying to kill Lance Prescott, the son of a Congressmen.  The judge offered Quinn a shortened sentence if she went to the Walker Center instead of jail.  He described the Walker Center to be like a rehabilitation center, but Quinn soon finds herself in a place worse than jail.

Reed Nolan is one of the guards at the Walker Center, and he has a good reason to dislike Quinn.  Reed vows to make her suffer for what she’d done to Lance, his best friend.  Although, he finds himself questioning everything after talking to Quinn.  Reed has to decide if Quinn is telling the truth or the Congressman.

Enslaved is a thrilling dark romance, and I was drawn into this steamy story.  Once I picked it up, it was hard to put down!  So you are aware, this story has a lot of triggers and definitely not for those looking for a sweet/touching romance

This is a really good book dealing with tough topics. Quinn is being held in jail, accused of trying to kill Lance, who was trying to rape her. Her lawyer was confident she acted in self defense, and would be set free. But Lance's father, a rich senator, has other plans for her. She is basically kidnapped from jail and taken to a facility owned by the senator, which on the surface s a rehabilitation facility, while in reality it is a sweatshop and the women are merciless punished. After serving their "time", they are then sold into sexual slavery. And Quinn has been already claimed by the senator when the time comes for him to take control. She is an exceedingly strong woman, and is determined to save herself and the other women, as well. As well as see all the jailors and buyers punished. Believe me, you don't want to get on her bad side. Wow. There is a great storyline, and interesting characters in this book. You definitely become invested in their story. I received an ARC, and am posting this review voluntarily.

Enslaved in Quinn’s story. She was in a very bad situation and took things a little too far trying to protect herself and her roommate. Actions lead to consequences and deals are made. In lieu of jail time she agrees to go to The Walker Facility for rehabilitation. Not all is as it was promised once she arrives. The first things to happen are that she’s chained, collared, and implanted with a tracking device.

Reed is the first person she meets. And she’s initiated in a very revealing way.

I’ve read the description and other reviews that state that this is a dark read. It is extremely dark. I love dark, but this book took turns that were a little much at times for me. The Walker Facility isn’t out to rehab its inhabitants, but to say more would be to give it away.

One tiny spoiler that annoyed me, so ignore this if you don’t want to know.

***Why did they keep calling her a killer when he’s not dead? He’s in a coma???

This book kind of blew me away. It is dark, intense, gripping, brutal and often comes across as all to horrifyingly plausible. The situation that Quinn finds herself in is terrifying and can cause extreme discomfort and distaste for the reader. My heart broke for Quinn. There is no denying though that she is tough and strong and truly seems to be up for the task she has ahead of her. Reed was a character that had to grow on me. As his attraction and connection to Quinn grew and he has to face truths that are much harder to swallow than the lies he believes, he becomes more likable. This book will be too intense for many. The dark subject matter includes both sexual & physical torture, BDSM, sexual assault and explicit sexual scenes. There is also plenty of twists, shocks, drama, danger, heat, suspense and Intense, powerful emotions. If you enjoy a dark read you do not wat to miss this one. It is a stunning!! This is my sincere, voluntary review.

What a freaking ride!!!! This book perfectly satisfied my craving for a dark, erotic, romantic thriller. Quinn is truly captivating and a super strong woman that refuses to break no matter what they do to her. She may have accidentally put someone in a coma, but she knows that where she ends up and what these sadists do is completely and utterly wrong. Reed is an unapologetic sadist and has found himself in a job where he gets to let his true self out without consequences. He truly believes that what he does is justified and the women deserve it. When Quinn is brought in, he's ready to punish her severely because he believes she hurt his friend on purpose with no regret or remorse. Then things come to light and his carefully ordered world starts crumbling down. Reed must choose a side and his life will be forever altered no matter which side he chooses. Grab this truly engaging book today, you will not be disappointed.

Reading the blurb, I was immediately intrigued by this story so given a chance to review a copy, I couldn't say no.

Right from the first pages, we dive into Quinn's story. We don't know much about the how or why of her situation but that's what made it even more interesting.

I've been known to enjoy dark romances but I'm not used to thrillers and I'm not usually a fan. In this particular case, I wasn't expecting this level of violence even with the trigger warnings but I understand they were necessary for the story. I don't think I was in the right state of mind to get as involved in the story as I wanted. This book deals with issues that are so important to women in a way that was uncomfortable at times but real and true.

But Sansa Rayne's writing style kept me interested. The book had a fast enough timeline and it was well written. And most importantly, it held my attention : it kept me hoping and I had to know the ending.

Get ready to be dragged into this darkly depraved erotic book! Enslaved was a deeply disturbing tale of wronged women and the lengths some would go to for their own sick pleasure. Bravo to Quinn for taking on so much! She endured so much more than anyone should have, and she was feisty and tough through and through. This book is definitely not for the faint of heart - there are untold scenes of pain and torture triggers - but I was completely caught up in this demented story, trying to figure out if Reed was the man I thought he would be. There are some sick, twisted people in Enslaved, and their crazy bid for power made for some demented moments. Through it all though, I could only keep cheering on Quinn and some of the other "residents" as they fought for their lives. What a thoroughly disturbing read!

It was okay

It took me longer to finish had to skim through some of it but Quinn was really messed up. I know some would say come on she's a victim, defending herself, but that chick went psycho crazy after she got in that prison. The first guy she killed was because he was talking about raping her I don't recall him even touching her and yet she stabbed that joker in the chest, oh and then she pulled it out stabbed him again and then in the neck just to be sure. I'm sorry that's crazy! After that she said the same thing I had no choice I was defending myself, well honey that line usually holds more weight if they actually lay a finger on you. I know these guards were well known for abusing the other women they weren't innocent but I don't know why that really rubbed me the wrong way. Anyways the story just wasn't for me I guess check it out and see for yourself.

WOW!!! This was dark and very intense with a lot of horrifying situations that were terrifying including sexual torture that Quinn and many more have to endure at The Walker Center under the sick and twisted guards and I was so proud of her for being so strong and brave and believing in herself when no one would in an impossible situation. I really liked Reed from the start their was just something about him and I liked how they interacted together and just clicked even though he had to follow through with the punishments. The writing is amazing and I loved all the characters. I couldn't put it down not knowing what was coming next with all the lies and truths which one is which and who to trust.

Ms. Rayne is a new to me author.
So going into Enslaved I didn’t know what to expect.
This book held me interest from start to finish.
Quinn was one amazing young lady!
She’s so strong and capable.
She has an inner strength and determination not to give up in her darkest of times.
Her will to overcome and not be defeated was astounding!
Now Reed on the other hand is hard for me to connect with.
I love books with the antihero.
But Reed just upset me a lot. His moral compass is very askew.
I liked the premise of the book.
The storyline and plot were pulling and intense.
I thought Ms. Rayne’s writing style was excellent.
There was no dull moments in the book.
It’s fast paced and suspenseful.
Besides Reed,I loved everything about this book.

Where do I begin describing all my feelings while reading this book ? 'Enslaved' is a hell of a book . Tremendously outstanding, deranged and disturbing ; a dark and twisted read that definitely blew me away . I was drawn in completely by the depraved ugliness and actually had to stop sometimes for several moments, just to let my brain process what I was reading .. Though I "love" this absolutely thrilling story, it's a very dark and cruel one and absolutely not for the faint of heart . Definitely a must read if you love this genre .

This was a dark, twisted and suspenseful book. Quinn accidentally puts the guy who tried to violate her in a coma and is tricked into going to Walker Center where you’re basically a slave waiting to be bought. I loved Quinn she was strong and brave considering her situation. Reed kind of got on my nerves because of how upset he was over his “friend” that even when he thought back on their interactions wasn’t really a friend. He got better when he came to his senses lol. I thought the book was well written even though sometimes it was too much for me.

This book was my first by this author and I loved her writing! This book is just what your looking for if you into the darkness of romance. The story is not for the week. Quinn is involved in a horrible accident that happened because she was trying to protect herself. The man in involved his father is more powerful than is realized until it’s too late for Quinn. Instead of jail she is sent to an alternative institution. Prison would have been better... Reed is the man supposed to break her. But instead she breaks him. She opens his heart and his eyes to what is really going on. This book was awesome! I couldn’t put it down. I’ll be reading more by this author in the future.

This book is powerful and show what would possibly happen (and I find it true which scares me a lot) if privefe prisons would be creates with no general Public and gouvernament Control over it. There would happen worst imaginable things - punishments, humilitations and more and more. And ale of those things are non consensual due to The position of The women.
This story showed one od The worst shades of humanity and what cant happen in real Life.
Girls have to be able to protect themselves and thats The end of it!
