Some of the tales were spooky. Some had grim endings. Some were sidesplittingly funny. The stories all had one thing in common: each had an element of the mysterious or the unexplained.
Those weird stories molded Catie into a purveyor of her own brand of lies and legends. One day, she found the courage to start writing down her stories. It changed her life forever.
Catie Rhodes lives steps from the Sam Houston National Forest with her long-suffering husband and her armpit terrorist of a little dog.

Fantastic Series!!!
Catie Rhodes does a fantastic job of writing an addictive, compelling, totally binge worthy series!
Peri Jean Mace is a gritty, Life-scarred, yet somehow vulnerable, psychic/medium with growing witchy abilities. A real heroine that is remarkably easy to identify with. She endures so much loss and trauma that it's heartbreaking! Yet she stands up to it all!
I've gobbled up the entire series, and this boxed set is the perfect excuse to re-read it!
The only thing that i can say that I really dislike is the dependency on the 'cancer sticks'. But that's my own hang-up and the addiction fits Peri Jean's character perfectly.
Highly recommended!

a slow burn
It started real slow but then caught flames. I suppose it’s one of those books you eat your nails too and go don’t do that, stop - but then you hang around and it sorts most of itself out in the end

Entertaining
I would definitely read this series again and continue on to the other books. Entertaining and stood out with quirky characters.

I really got hooked on this collection and have already bought book 4. I enjoyed that characters, the magic and the crazy family in this drama infused tale.
