He was her first kiss. Her teenage crush. The guy she pined after for years. He is also her older brother’s best friend who dissed her when he left without a backwards glance. As if she was as forgettable as that kiss they shared.
Now four years later, Jase Lathrop sits across the holiday dinner table from Cecelia Sundstrom, looking at her as if he wants to stuff her like the Thanksgiving turkey.
Cecelia might still be angry at Jase for leaving her, but it is Thanksgiving. And there’s always room for a second helping.

Short and hot just in time for Thanksgiving! I've never read a Thanksgiving story before so this was a treat! It was quick and fun! I enjoyed it a lot!!!
Well written short story that is sweet, romantic and still steamy. Great storyline and plot. Likeable characters that develops well through the story. He left her after a passionate kiss and now years later he sits in his uniform at their Thanksgiving table. Why has he not contacted her? Can they be friends or lovers now? Does he have the same feelings as she does? Absolutely a story that felt real in the storyline and that made it captivating and enjoyable to read.
Whipped is such a deliciously sexy and sweet holiday treat! Absolutely enjoyed Jase & CC's story. Definitely wouldn't mind a second helping of those two together!!
This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for Sierra Hill and her fabulous writing! Whipped is the perfect short, fun and SEXY second chance romance book! Jase and CC were fantastic!
I’m gonna keep this short and sweet just like Whipped! This is the perfect little tasty morsel just in time for Thanksgiving. Jase was completely adorable with his long lingering glances full of want and lust. I loved his desire to go after what he wanted. It’s been too long. He’s ready to take Cecilia his. CC has been smitten with Jase for so very long! Of course he has to be her brothers best friend.
Sierra Hill packs quite the punch in such a little story... just like the petite little author. It’s full of spunk and humor. I finished Whipped last night before bed. It’s the perfect holiday read... light and sweet but it has this heat and depth that you wouldn’t expect in such a short book. Gobble this right up!!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
Cecilia and Jase grew up together and her brother was his best friend. She had a huge crush on him and when she was 18, he gave her a kiss that she would never forget and then he disappeared. She was heartbroken but she moved on and tried to forget about him, but it wasn’t easy.
Thanksgiving is always a hectic time and you never know who will show up at your dinner table. Oftentimes it is someone you don’t even know or a long lost relative you don’t remember. In Cecilia’s case, Jase was the surprise guest at her table and she was not happy about it. He looked very handsome in his uniform and she couldn’t understand why he kept sneaking glances at her. His smoldering eyes heated her up and she practically drooled into her mashed potatoes. Why is Jace at dinner and what does he want with Cecilia?
This is a cute second chance holiday book that gives us all hope that the one person we never forgot, will show up when we least expect it. Holidays can be lonely for some people but for our couple, their reunion was the icing on the cake.
Whipped is a short and steamy Thanksgiving Romance that will be the perfect ending to anyone’s holiday. For me personally the story line was to similar to some of the other books in this compilation to rate it higher, however I still recommend giving it a read.
This story is centered around Jase and Cecelia. They have known each other since they were younger, and have always had feelings for each other. Now all together again for the holiday they have finally decided to take their relationship to the next level.
My one criticism would be to label the POV changes. Yes, it doesn’t take very long to discover who we are speaking about but it set a frame of mind and tone for the beginning of the chapter if we know whose POV it is in.
*** I received this ARC from the author at no cost ***
Needed a break from the series I was reading and a quick read before bedtime. It was that. Perhaps reading longer works by this author will have me appreciating their writing abilities better.
Super short, fun, sexy holiday read. Cece has loved her brother's best friend forever. He was her first kiss, then he ghosted her. How on earth will she get through this holiday meal looking at him for hours? Whipped cream anyone?
This sexy little novelette was absolutely delicious! It serves up so much sweetness with a generous helping of heat. CC & Jase are adorable and Sierra Hill manages to convey so much about them and their feelings so well in such a short time! I loved this little Thanksgiving treat!!
Jase and cc’s story was short, sweet and got to the heart of the matter; lost love! Neither one took the risk all those years ago but with a second chance neither one will miss one more second of the love they deserve!
What a great little story! It was short, but I kind of felt like I already knew the characters. Sierra is so descriptive in her writing that I instantly connect. I would love to read more about this couple, Jase and Cecelia because it was a nice little beginning.
This short story is part of an 11-story (sort of) series by various authors called Second Helpings (similar to The Cocktail Girls and Halloween Honeys). Each (save one, in my opinion) is a second-chance story of couples who reunite at Thanksgiving. Each entry is the series is a short story of 30-50 pages, or so, and run from medium to high heat. All stories are stand-alone and can be read in any order. And, I don’t think I give anything away to say they’re all served with a happy ending. While none are horrible (I didn’t hate any of them), some are better than others. (All stories in the series are listed below.)
Whipped by Sierra Hill is the story of Cecelia (CC) and Jase. Four years ago Jase gave CC her first kiss and left for boot camp breaking her heart. Now Jase is back in town and this Marine is going to use this second chance to get his girl.
Another good story in the series. Character are well drawn and the story sweet and sexy. Cecelia was always Jase’s best friend Chris’ younger sister. That is until she outgrew the awkward teenage years. They shared one kiss, but that was enough to get him through boot camp and the four years he’s served in the Marines. CC thought the kiss meant nothing to Jase until they’re together at Thanksgiving and Jase confesses his feelings hoping (knowing) she feels the same way. The beginning of their new relationship is passionate and sweet.
From Tessa Blake’s book (Man-Berry Sauce:Second Helpings): Thank you so much to all my co-conspirators for making what started as a dumb dirty joke into an amazing, fun project. I love you all!
From Tracy Lorraine’s book (Cheeky Trifle:Second Helpings): You know that moment when a friend says something as a joke but then it somehow takes on a life of its own? Well, that’s the Second Helpings series. What started off as some tongue-in-cheek Thanksgiving book title ideas turned into a series of sexy shorts, so thanks for that, Alexis Adaire! This was a very quick, very fun, little project that had us all crying with laughter. So I want to say thank you to all involved for making me step outside my comfort zone and come up with this sexy little short. All normal service can now resume, until one of you has another idea, anyway.
Enjoyable quick read for thanksgiving from Sierra. Enjoyed the little sister crushing on big brother's best friend and finding out in later years that he felt the same and ending up together. Recommended read.
Although this is a short story, you can have it span longer than two hours. All it is is Thanksgiving dinner where they sit across from each other and she’s peeking at him through her lashes and he’s giving her dark looks. Then he follows her into the kitchen to get a kiss and gives some lame apology of how he was “crazy for ever leaving without an explanation.” Never actually says I’m sorry for hurting you, I regret not keeping in touch, or anything like that. Just before they kiss, big brother interrupts. Then, when both give excuses to stay home, they have sex. Afterwards, he gives a lame “ I was an idiot as a teen but I’m not the same guy now” followed almost immediately by the all famous “I’ve never felt this way about anyone else but you.” The only thing that saves this is the epilogue from being just a hookup while he’s on leave. Steamy sex though.
This was a short and romantic story. It was an excellent light read and gave you a warm glow inside. Cecelia had a crush on her older brother’s best friend when she was a teenager. When he turns up to Thanksgiving years later, she finds out that the feelings were mutual. After a hot and heavy session together when they finally get the house to themselves, they admit to their mutual crush. This was very sweet and lovely. It was well-written, and you could really feel the emotions from the two characters. Even though the book is really short so you don’t get to know the characters that much you do feel a connection to them and want them to have their happy ever after. A brilliant addition to the Second Helpings collaboration from the Flirt Club.

Good short story. Jase & CC are hoping for a second chance. It's Thanksgiving & Jase is visiting his best friend and CC's older brother. She's crushed on him hard since she was young. Then he kissed her and left. Now he's back and the look in his eyes tells CC that he may not have forgotten that kiss.
Second Helpings are collaborations of short stories by different authors sharing a Thanksgiving theme & second chances. I've read the other collaborations and loved them (The Cocktail Girls, Halloween Honeys). These individual short stories are quick reads. Their brevity doesn't lack romance, steam or that 'Awww' feeling when your heart melts.
3.5 Stars As this story is so short, so will the review. If I say too much then the whole story be given. Whipped is a short story that is a part of the second helpings story series. This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. I read this book within half an hour and was satisfied throughout. Its thanksgiving and Cecilia’s teenage crush is having dinner with her and her family. Jase wants Cecilia. He wants a second chance at being with her. I did see some chemistry between them and I liked that Cecilia’s crush fancied her back. The storyline for this short story is easy to follow and it is a nice read.
Cecilia has had feelings for her brother’s best friend Jase however he never saw her as anything more than his friend’s little sister. They shared a kiss when she was 18 which meant a lot more to her than him so all she wants is to get through the meal and keep her feelings firmly hidden.
When Jase sees the grown-up Cecilia he is determined to make her his. Will they have their second chance?
Short and sexy this story hits the spot. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Great Thanksgiving read to have for the holidays. You will love reading Jase and Cecilia's story. There is four years of distance between them. He's her brothers best friend, her first kiss and teenage crush. Then he just disappeared. Now he's back and wants to take what he wants and claim it. Strong characters and a great story line. I just love this Thanksgiving series. I can't wait to read more of them.
I loved this quick and fun read. Jase and CC (Cecelia) were so great together. I didn't want to put it down. Well written, great characters and a fun themed read. This was a great Thanksgiving themed quick read - and I can't wait to read the rest in this Second Helpings series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This was short and sweet, just in time for Thanksgiving. Jase was shooting long lingering glances full of want and lust to Cecilia. I loved his desire to go after what he wanted. It’s been too long. He’s ready to make Cecilia his. CC has been smitten with Jase for so very long! Of course he has to be her brothers best friend. 💋
What a perfectly sweet and hot short story! A childhood crush on her brothers best friend, a hot kiss, and then being ghosted, only for him to come back Years later. After an explanation, and apology they can't keep their hands off each other! This was a fast and quick read that will have you wanting more!!! I absolutely loved this second chance romance!!
Such a quick little nibble of a HOT Thanksgiving Holiday. Love the "older brother's best-friend" troupe. It also gives that bit of Second Chance love, as they share a kiss, once while younger. Jase and C-C haven't seen each other in 4 years, they are surrounded by all their family and sparks start flying. Wish the story was longer, but love the "snack" of hotness in this short story.
Perfect read while I sat in the carpool line. Sweet second chance-ish story about a love too young the first time around. Steamy and sexy, sweet and aww-worthy, with pun-filled holiday feels. I wanted to know what the family’s reaction was. Cc and Jase def made me interested in more Sierra Hill books (new to me author) & the Second Helpings set. ❤️
