Was nun?

Young love endures!
by sewsummore

Toxic was a young breed who had been experimented on all his life until the soldiers came and he was released. He had been badly beaten by the guards before they left and he nearly died. When he awoke he thought he was still a prisoner but a young woman told him he was now free. Her names was Alina and he wanted to see her again but he had been told she had left and he was going to a place called Eden where other breeds lived. But instead of Eden the shuttle he was on had crashed on a different planet. The two pilots were dead and Alina who had sneaked aboard before lift off was injured. She had sneaked aboard so that they could be together. Fortunately the local natives were friendly and treated them both as chosen mates which they soon became. Life was uneventful until their rescue when once again they were separated. This was a story of young love that leads to a more enduring love, despite the actions of her father, they are reunited in the end. Their story was beautiful in their innocence and passionate in their bed.

After Jessie goes to the news stations with the story of Rage and DMI, the compound in Texas is raided. Here they find a young man of 19 who has had his leg broken and then beaten almost to death. He is rescue and saved by a doctor and his daughter Alina.

The Alien Breed chooses the name Toxic after a band that one of the guards listens to and he enjoys as well. The two create a bond while she is helping him heal and once he wakes up from his coma.

Alina decides to sneak aboard the shuttle taking Toxic away from her which crashes on a planet that isn't Eden. After battles, finding friends, finding love, and finding a home, they are rescued but are unwillingly parted. Yet despite suspicions that their connection was false, a promise was made and kept that brought the two back together again.

The young Alien Breed was badly injured and in hospital meets doctor's daughter Alina.
Laying in his cot the pain from the long cut in his leg keeping him awake the young Alien Breed hears a commotion but is unable to look out of the window in the cell door as he could not stand on his injured leg. A doctor comes in escorted by four guards who tells the guards to kill him as they will not be able to get him on the transport but the guard decide to have some fun and beat him until he blacks out. He comes to in hospital having been left for dead and a young woman is talking to him trying to keep him calm. She explains that his hair had been shave so that they could deal with his head injuries and goes on to tell him she is the Alina the daughter of the doctor who had brought him there after he was found.

I wanted to like this story a lot more, but

1) Alina was an immature, annoying prude
2) most of the rest of the characters were cookie cutter stereotypes
3) the dialogue was shallow and full of proper English like ”I am...” instead of ”I’m...”
4) everything in the entire story was completely implausible
5) it was in dire need of an editor to combat the numerous homonyms
6) seriously, what does Christianity have to do with science fiction?

All of this (aside from #6) would normally be something easily overlooked in an erotic story, except that this was hardly an erotic story, more like an instalove cheesefest plot-filler. To be fair, there was a spicy scene towards the end which was well written once things actually started happening, but the rest of the book was eye-roll-worthy.

I received a free copy of Toxic, but that did not affect my review.

It was way to short in my opinion and when it abruptly ended I was sad. Because I felt that it could of gone on for a bit more. But beyond that it was a great story. Drama, action, adventure tied together with some smexy sexy romance. Then wrapped up in a handsome cover for a visual. Heck yeah. I'm on board and can't wait for more.
Toxic survived it all miraculously. If it wasn't for his being an alien breed. He might of been dead. Now a young woman watches over him from time to time. He has strange feelings for her that he doesn't yet understand. But when the unexpected happens. How will he take it all in?

I've been waiting for the English version of this series. Rage was the first story in this series. Short story but it's full of drama, sweetness, and some heat. Another Alien Breed by Melody Adams. Short read. Toxic is injured and nursed back to health by Alina. Toxic gets ready to go to Eden and live free but Alina loves him and stows away on the spaceship. This has adventure, action and the story was really fast. I wish that the book had been a lot longer. I'll be looking for the next book in this series. Alina nurses Toxic, an alien breed to health and he is ready to be transported to the planet Eden where the other alien breeds call home now that they are not captives. They were lab rats at an illegal facility and let go when word got out what was going on. So now that Toxic is leaving, Alina has fallen for him and stowaways in the ship. When the ship crashes on an unknown planet Toxic has many feelings about Alina he doesn't understand, but one he does is to protect her. The author has done a great job with this series and this book also. Well detailed with wonderful characters.

Okay but could not connect

After reading Hunter I was really looking forward to reading Toxic. The story was definitely a fast-paced short story that you can zip through quickly. But it was lacking for me as I just could not connect with the character of Alina and the too unbelievable (I know this is Sci-Fi Romance but still). Additionally it really needs a good proofreader and editor to fix a number of errors and issues.
I am not giving up on this series and I will definitely pick up the next book in the series.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Well this is the best book of the series by far plus it’s a short story but there is so much in there to enjoy. Alina’s father brings an injured alien breed home no one thinks that he is going to pull through but Alina believes that he will and he does survive. Toxic leaves on a shuttle to go to Eden where all of the alien breeds live but Alina stows away then the shuttle crash lands on an unknown and dangerous planet and from there Toxic looks after the human girl that he knows is his. Fantastic story and I recommend this book.

This done in one quick read is about knowing and trusting your heart.

Toxic was raised in hell, experimented on, and without a name, an Alien Breed - not a person, until the day soldiers raided his lab and rescued him.

Alina is equally young but from an entirely different background. When the two meet, and are drawn together, their young hearts go on an unexpected adventure, and face unexpected challenges even as they discover allies in the most unlikely of places.

I really liked the story and wish it was longer so I could enjoy the characters even more. Toxic and Alina are both young. Toxic was almost killed when the Breeds were freed so winds up being transferred to a doctor's care on Earth to heal. Alina is the doctor's daughter who is attracted to and enjoys Toxic's company.

Once Toxic is healed it is time for him to go to Eden with the other Breeds when things go wrong and the story gets a dose of action.

I liked Toxic and Alina's story but I did think that their romance suffered a bit because of the very short length of this book. Still, I did enjoy reading this. The storyline is filled with a combo of drama, action, sweetness and a touch of heat. This is my honest, elective review.
