Mason’s Winter is book one in the Steele Christmas Novellas series by C.M. Steele. This is a new to me author that was recommended to me and I’m so glad I jumped in. This is a love at first sight, short, sexy, sort of Cinderella retelling that I completely enjoyed.
Winter Snow is two weeks away from graduating from college. Her mother who is now divorcing her third rich husband left Winter when she moved out. Her step father agreed to let Winter stay and he’ll pay for the rest of college if she’ll be an assistant to her evil step sister. She’s so close to the end, she just has to hang on for a few more weeks. That’s when it happened, she literally crashed into her step sister’s latest conquest. When they touched, her whole world tilted. But her sister has warned her to stay away and that’s what she’ll do.
Mason Hunt is forced to go to a potential client’s home for a business meeting when the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen ran right into him. One touch and he knew that this woman would be his future. He has no idea who she is but he’s obsessed. She’s all he can think about, dream about. Luckily they cross paths a few more times but Winter seems to go out of her way to avoid him. Until the day he saw her coming out of the store with a pile of gifts. He was not letting her get away again.

This was super steamy as Mason finally convinced Winter she was destined to be his. He showed her how it felt to be loved, cared for. This is something she hasn’t felt since she was a little girl when her own father was still alive. If you want a book to spend a chilly afternoon with that will make you feel warm as toast on the inside, then this is for you!

Pretty fast pace novella with some dirty steam.
Christmas in June for me lol. Winter has had the rough life thanks to her mother who marries rich and divorces those men now shes stuck with the ex step dad who treats her like a servant and a step sister who is evil x10. Already warning her to not to come back home to meet her mysterious new boyfriend. Who happens to be Mason who doesnt even know the step sisters lies since he never met that crazy woman and he's only there for bussiness. But since Winter already has that idea he's taken it causes some tiny "I must stay away" until he clears it up and takes his woman away from the dicks who treat her like crap. Now they can start there life and deal with another drama coming for his woman.
No om drama tiny ow drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

A good Christmas story. I just didn't like the hero at first but I started to like him as I continued.
The story is about Mason and Winter.
She's working for her spoiled step-sister, Carissa, in order to finish her college degree and to have a place to live. Only a few more weeks until she graduates and she's free to start her new life. She just doesn't know her life will change when she bumps into him.
Mason is a rich man. He has a meeting with her step-father. He wants Mason to buy his company.
Mason and Winter keep running into each other but she tries to avoid him because of the lies Carissa had told her. What will he do if he finds out the lies? What will he do if someone wants Winter dead?
I liked how he confronted Carissa after everything was cleared. He became the H I really wanted him to be since I started this one. I wanted him not to let anyone treat her bad especially in front of him. Winter's a strong woman. After everything that happened to her, she didn't lose hope.
I loved the epilogue!

This is a short, hot Christmas story of insta-love, and pretty much everything in that department (eg: babies, poor virgin, hot billionaire etc.). It even has a Cinderella feel to it (with the abusive step-sister and all).
What I really disliked, was the confusion at the begging: the evil step-sister pretending so hard to be involved with Mason, the hot billionaire.
And I didn't get the whole thing about Winter's birth-mother. She felt out of place in the story, but whatever.

Tis the season for Christmas stories...
A short, steamy Christmas read. I was not wild about the hero at all initially but I did warm up to him a bit by the end of the book.

What a sweet and steamy Christmas story! Mason and Winter are adorable together and so hot. Nice chemistry and super cute epilogue with two kids and pregnant heroine. Perfect Christmas story.

This is the story of Winter and Mason! This is a sweet and sexy story that I really enjoyed but there isn’t much that I don’t enjoy from C.M. Steele. She is always a One Click for me. Mason was super sexy and alpha when it came to Winter and he wasn’t afraid to put anyone in their place who disrespected her!

I have to confess, when I first started this book I was worried as Carissa, the heroine, Winter's, stepsister, referred to Mason, the Hero, as her boyfriend. Thankfully, we, the reader, were quickly informed he was not in fact hers, nor did he want to be. But upon first seeing Winter, he wanted to be hers and vice versa, and refused to let anyone stand in the way of that.
Winter, whose mom married and was currently divorcing Mr. Grable, had been left behind to fend for herself. As she needed a place to live until she finished school, one was so graciously (read that with sarcasm) provided if she agreed to work as Carissa's *witch* assistant. Of course, she played the evil stepsister to the core, belittling Winter any chance she got and, upon realizing Mason wanted Winter and not herself, went out of her way to imply she and Mason were truly an item but it had to remain a secret for the time being.
Mason is reluctantly meeting with Mr. Grable and his daughter regarding the family business Carissa is already ruining. However, Carissa hasn't hesitated to let Mason know she wants him, the thought of which makes him shudder. When he bumps into Carissa's assistant, he's instantly smitten and begins accepting meetings with the Grables, hoping to see Winter again. Things don't work as he'd hoped, but thankfully, their paths do cross once more and he wastes no time in clearing up Carissa's lies.
With Mason and Winter exploring what's between them, and Mason letting her know they're forever, they're soon moving forward and looking at their future, if Winter survives what's coming.
Who is after Winter and why? Is it Carissa, upset about Mason wanting Winter and not her? Or is it someone else, someone unexpected? Can Mason keep Winter safe? Is a HEA possible?
One-click now and follow along as two people meet and instantly fall in love, but first must overcome a few obstacles to be together. While I liked this story, and am happy Mason was never with Carissa as well as the fact he's been celibate for years, I could've done without one part - when he's thinking about the impact Winter has on him, and this is before they're together but you know he already wants her and vice versa, that maybe he just needs to get some. That, to me at least, implies anyone would do, whether it's Winter or not, and the chapter ends that way, no revelation that he only wants Winter, etc. That bothered me a lot and lowered my rating.

I really enjoyed this book. The hero and heroine were great and I loved the way they loved each other.
There was an evil step-sister within this story who wanted the hero desperately. Without the hero knowing, she was telling the heroine that they were secretly engaged and once when the heroine went into the office the evil one made it look like her and the hero had been getting busy by straightening her clothing behind the hero's back. He had been there for a business meeting but once he finds out what the evil one is spreading about them he puts her immediately in her place with the heroine at his side. He couldn't stand her and let her know in no uncertain terms that he wasn't into her. I so wanted the step-sister to see them in an intimate embrace or kiss just to show her how happy they were.
Will definitely read more by CM Steele. This was my favorite book by her to date.

I love holiday reads, and I absolutely adored this one.
I was a little worried when I first started reading this, but I should have known that in true C.M Steele fashion, she wouldn't disappoint.
This is a hot, sweet, short Christmas story full of Insta-goodness.

This is a short but sweet holiday treasure.
Winter Snow has been neglected by her mother since her father died when she was ten years old, only used when her mother meets a new wealthy man until it’s time to move on. And that’s where she finds herself now trapped working as a PA to her selfish and spoiled stepsister during her mother’s divorce, it’s the only way that she can graduate college and finally get the degree she wants and finally her freedom from her mother and Carissa. But that is until she literally bumps into Mason Hunt but after Carissa tells her that they are secretly engaged she pushes any attraction aside, but with Mason constantly trying to get her alone can she really fight her feelings for him and is what Carissa saying true?
Mason Hunt was dreading his upcoming meeting but once he sees Winter he knows he is right where he needs to be, this was the last place he was expecting to find love but for some reason she is pushing him away. Once the lie that Carissa has been cultivating comes to light there is no way that he is going to let anything get in his way of having Winter and making her his. His mother might be getting those grandchildren she is desperate for sooner rather than later, that is until threatens to take his dream away. Can he keep Winter safe from the danger now surrounding her and who is responsible?
You cannot help but want these two to get the HEA, it’s a quick read with some great chemistry although at times it felt a little rushed to me. Still perfect to cheer up and cold miserable day.

Mason’s winter is book one in the ‘’A Steele Christmas novella’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and sweet. I devoured this story in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline sweet. I liked Mason and Winter. I felt a little sorry for Winter. She didn’t deserve to be treated the way she was by her stepfamily. The chemistry between Mason and Winter was clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I liked that Mason made it known that Winter was the one he wanted, not Carissa. I wasn’t a fan of Carissa. I hated the way she treated Winter, her jealously was obvious. I liked the twist on who the villain was in this story. I expected it to be someone else rather than who it ended up being. I really liked Mason’s mother’s reaction to meeting Winter and wanting her grandbabies ASAP. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is a nice read.

A great quick read! Loved the steamy chemistry between Winter and Mason. The story was well written with relatable characters. Sexy bits are fiery and powerful. Perfect short story for a cold winter day!(I couldn't resist)

Plot: Winter is living with her soon-to-be-ex stepfather and stepsister, and they're pretty awful. One day, Mason shows up at their home for a business meeting. It seems like love at first sight, but her stepsister tells her that Mason is hers and to stay away. Mason doesn't know about any of that, though, and definitely will not be staying away.
Commentary: I think perhaps the mother was added as the villain at the end of the story to provide suspense or tension (since I'm sure we all thought it would be the stepsister), but I think it just created too much extra drama. Most of us know someone who actually is a magnet for drama/trouble, and there are always fifty things going on in their lives, but in a short novella like this, I think it was just a step too far. I would have been happy with the bad guy being just the stepsister because then more focus could be on the relationship.
Also - the stepdad blaming his actions on the tension in the family? No sir! You could have told your ex to take her daughter with her. You could have helped her find a place to stay. Above all, you could have been a decent person and treated those around you - especially a vulnerable young person- with respect and dignity. Instead, you acted like a jerk!
Grammar/formatting: needed another pass with a proofreader - some subject-verb errors, missing words

Once again, the author, C.M. Steele has delivered an awesome story with hot chemistry flowing between her main characters', some suspense, a bit of angst, passion and an absolutely happily ever after! <3
Now, this story was one of my favorite reads' this month and I loved Mason's character so much! He was a total alpha caveman but with his woman, Winter, he was all of that but at the same time, he was a teddy bear towards her too. When she needed gentle, he gave that to her and when his alpha side came full blast, well, let's just say, it was VERY HOT to read those scenes ;)
Winter... That girl has had loss most of her life and then treated technically as a servant by her mother and then her step-family. But she held on; definitely a strong young woman and when she met Mason, of course, there were some misunderstanding caused by her stepsister too who also wanted Mason (don't worry guys, Mason is a smart cookie and didn't pay any attention whatsoever to that vapor; his eyes were solely for Winter and vice versa. This was definitely an insta-love story but it fit with the characters. In my opinion, the fast pace projectile of the relationship development between Mason and Winter felt right, at least for me :)
The ending was freaking AMAZING!! I loved every single minute of reading it and I didn't want this story to end but all good things do come to an end but even though I was reluctant for this read NOT to end, I was very satisfied with that incredible ending that this awesome author, C.M. Steele wrote and I'm already excited and ready for her next story! :)

But she held on; definitely a strong young woman and when she met Mason, of course, there were some misunderstanding caused by her stepsister too who also wanted Mason (don't worry guys, Mason is a smart cookie and didn't pay any attention whatsoever to that vapor; his eyes were solely for Winter and vice versa. This was definitely an insta-love story but it fit with the characters. In my opinion, the fast pace projectile of the relationship development between Mason and Winter felt right, at least for me :)
The ending was freaking AMAZING!! I loved every single minute of reading it and I didn't want this story to end but all good things do come to an end but even though I was reluctant for this read NOT to end, I was very satisfied with that incredible ending that this awesome author, C.M. Steele wrote and I'm already excited and ready for her next story! :)

I love Steele's Middleton Hotel series TO DEATH but the writing felt disappointedly choppy as fuck, and I dare say ultimately disjointed. I know the type of H/h's they write so I'm not going in completely blind about what to expect and I LOVE IT. i love H's like Steele and Alexa Riley write about and are absolutely head over heels for their women. this was a really disappointing read. i think my main problem stems from there being a lot of telling vs showing. we're told a lot of shit and the way it's told is frankly boring (at least to me). I don't mind info dumps as long as they're presented in an interesting manner or a reason. then there was the whole mini-sideplot with the mom that honestly didn't have any purpose for being there, as it didn't add to the story or the h's character.
the story is actually kind of cute and the couple is cute and fine but I just had a problem with the writing itself. Safe, H hasn't tried to date or attempt to date other women in 3 years or so and it's implied that he hasn't had sex in a long time [prob. longer than the 3 yrs) (his hand is described as being his best friend for some time now). h is a virgin of course 🙄

Loved this book! I love when CM Steele writes her books in Chicago. I've lived in Illinois before but unfortunately never got the chance to visit the city, with that being said I really enjoy when her stories take place there. Winter, having been basically abandoned by her mom to her stepdad and awful step sister is just saving money until she can go out on her own in the world. Mason's company is thinking of purchasing a business and has a meeting with the owners. A chance meeting has the two of them falling in love at first sight. Unfortunately for Winter, her step sister also has her sights set on Mason. How far will someone go to remove Winter out of the picture for good?
This was another great read. I really enjoyed both Mason and Winter and their road to happiness. Despite what others try to do to them they came out on top together! I'm looking forward to James and his sister Rebecca's stories as well as I hope we get to read a story about Mason's secretary....hopefully!!

MASON'S WINTER is a sweet and sexy insta-love billionaire novella. She tried to stay away from Mason because he was off-limits, according to her cruel stepsister. But the minute he learns Winter's real identity, he wasted no time in putting the evil stepsister in place and going after the woman who stole his heart. I loved this book. It had a little Cinderella feel to it, somewhat, and I truly enjoyed how the hero glorified his queen. A fantastic holiday sexy read!

Just alright
It was cute enough. Really awkward set up for the h at the start, she should have just left. Surprising plot twist near the end that seemed borderline ridiculous even though it could possibly happen to someone. The h didn’t seem to really even be bothered by it. Even though her and her mother weren’t close, I felt like she should have been a bit more shocked? Sex scenes were mellow. The H seemed alright. Wish it had been more Christmas like in description too instead if just taking place at Christmas. They had one scene where they went tree shopping.

Mason and Winter are meant to be from the begining but not before everyine around them try to brake them apart.
Misconceptions and lies. Deceit and murder threats, can they find the happily ever after? Of course they can!
I enjoyed the Christmas Magic in this story and the chatacters were a true delight. I was hanging on page after page!
