FINDING FOREVER

Asher Ellison and Trish McClellan are united in the fight against drug abuse, and Asher, an ex-con turned minister, thinks he’s found the successful businesswoman of his dreams. But Trish’s businesses are intimate shops and a strip club—and she herself occasionally takes to the pole. Fury is his first reaction upon finding out who she really is. Then desire, always desire. Asher’s surprise is no match for his attraction to this brash beauty, and then his devotion. And hers to him. Not the consternation of his congregation or the church’s board of deacons, not the threat to take away his ministry, not even the unknown and murderous enemy who’s about to zero in on Trish. His scarred, powerful arms will draw her close and keep her safe. As those who seek shall find, true love is eternal and divine.

Author of over forty romance novels, Emily Mims combined her writing career with a career in public education until leaving the classroom to write full time. In addition to eighteen Candlelight Ecstasy Romances under the pen name 'Emily Elliott', she has written two series under her own name, the Texas Hill Country series and the Smoky Blue series, and has completed four books in the Durango Street Theatre series. The mother of two sons and grandmother to six, she and her husband Charles split their time between San Antonio and their lake home in the Texas Hill Country, and make frequent trips to Tennessee to see grandchildren. When not busy at the word processor, she plays the piano, organ and dulcimer. She plays her ukulele with two singing groups and has even been known to sing a song or two at the mic. She says, "I love to write romances because I believe in them. Romance happened to me and it can happen to any woman-if she'll just let it."

Emerald is an intriguing second chance story with a unique story line and engaging characters. I enjoyed the romantic suspense element, as well as the charged chemistry between the hero and heroine. Many books today need good editing, so I appreciate that Mims is a talented writer and the book is polished.

Of all the women in town, why was it Trish that Asher had to fall for, being the new preacher, his congregation will never accept him having a relationship with the town bad girl. Trish has worked hard to be successful, but her small town can’t accept how she became successful, hypocrites and judgemental old biddies talk about her constantly.
Can these two find a way for their love to work, can they both continue doing the work they love without sacrificing their relationship?
This series keeps getting better and having all the characters woven into each story is fabulous.

Faith, the importance of living your beliefs.
Strength, the importance of standing strong living your life to the fullest.
Asher devoted to his faith and his ministry, atoning for his past.
Trish living her life to the fullest, successful in a town that judges her harshly.
We all live with others and their judgements, this story makes you look at yourself and those around you and be more understanding of why things are how they are.
A must read for all.

(Warning: part of a series, but each have different sets of main characters within their world, each book has its own HEA)

I cannot get enough of this author and this series!

It is wrought with emotion and so well written that I absolutely could not put it down!
Each book has been cohesive and enlightening to the overall theme between these characters.

This is the story of Trish and Asher. He is a minister and Trish is a business owner and together they share a passion to fight against drugs. He thinks she’s perfect for him. What happens when he learns what her businesses are? I enjoyed this romance with its twists. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This second chance story is like no other. When an ex-con turned minister finds love with a women that has the same passion has him, there is no stopping them, unless you take in account of her business. This was a wonderfully written story with unique twist and turns.

I loved this book so much. This book is Asher and Trish’s story. Had everything you enjoy in an Emily book. Had drama, amazing chemistry and a HEA to boot.

Emerald is a second-chance romance between a pole dancer and a local preacher. This sounds more improbable than it really is. Asher is an ex-con, scarred inside and out, who found God while in prison. Since high school, he's gone for bad girls. He thinks he's finally found a good girl he can love and bring into his congregation, then learns she's a pole dancer. I enjoyed the story. It was an easy read. My main complaint was that I found many chapters ended in a segue scene in which one or the other moaned about "why did he have to be a preacher" or "why did she have to be a pole dancer". I feel that after an author has used that technique a couple of times, it's no longer fresh, your readers already know how these two people feel and don't need to be beaten over the head about it.

The fifth book in the Smokey Blues Series a well written story with a very good storyline, I would say read these books in order, to better enjoy this series. Seeing this cover is what drew me to this book I had to know how he got the scar. This is ex-con turned minister Asher Ellison and business woman Trish McClellan who owns intimate shops and a strip club. This has been a series I enjoyed from the first to last one, I will be reading again. I recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
