I was paying off a debt. One that wasn’t mine. But when your father screws over an outlaw motorcycle club and then disappears with their money, you have two choices. Pay with your body, or pay with your blood. With a little sister to protect, I did what I had to. I gave them me.
REPO
I was born a protector. Whatever it took, I did it. My family, my brothers and the club’s name—I made sure that anyone who crossed us, or at least anyone who tried, learned quickly why they shouldn’t. Seeing her sitting at the bar, I was drawn to her. Her scars, her bruises, and the light around her. Without knowing me, she instantly had my back. So it was only fair I had hers.
She walked in with the enemy. But there was no way in hell I was letting her walk out with them.
Addison Jane is a born and bred kiwi girl with a passion for romance and writing. When she gets the chance she enjoys the little things in life such as reading, dancing, music, and Facebook, but her world really revolves around the little girl who calls her Mum. It's an awkward balance between alpha males and Disney princesses but it works. Growing up on a small farm next to the beach will always make her a country girl at heart. But since moving away to a small town close to the city she's discovered a dangerous love for shopping. Writing stories has been something that’s come naturally since she was young, and with the massive support of her friends and family, she finally decided to step out of her comfort zone and share them with the world. She enjoys bringing her books to life with strong female leads, sexy passionate men and a rollercoaster of twists and turns that lead to the happily ever after that her readers desire.
Kennedy was the first book I have read by Addison Jane but definitely not my last. Although I'm aware that this author has a whole other series and those characters were mentioned in this one, I decided to try Kennedy first. The reasons being that Kennedy is in her situation against her will while in Club Girl Diaries they are there by choice. Now I'm not against woman having lovers, or being sexually free, I didn't know if I could deal with all her lovers in the same room and friends at that. Anyway after reading Kennedy I would like to go back and read the other series. So back to Kennedy, I loved it. Yes there were some inconsistencies and it probably could have been a few chapters shorter but overall it was a really enjoyable read to me. Kennedy is in a situation not of her making but she deals with the hand that was handed to her to protect her younger sister. I found Kennedy sweet but definitely naïve at times. Repo was awesome, he's a great protector and he's loyal. I loved that he realized quickly that something was wrong with Kennedy and decided to help her. Although he struggles with demons from his own past I loved how he tried to overcome some for Kennedy. I also appreciated the fact that he wasn't miraculously cured by her. Overall a really enjoyable read and I look forward to more from this author.
1- Dude how many times can Kennedy get beaten up? 2-Dude how many times can the schlep of a bad guy sneak back in and punch Kennedy in the head and kick her in the ribs? 3- Dude how many times can they let the bad guy go? 4-Dude how many times do you have to tell Us the H can’t be touched?
This was slow to start, was interesting for a few pages , then dragged.
3.5 stars I love a good MC book, they’re my guilty pleasure. This had such a strong start. A decent plot, a really good female lead trying her best to deal with a bad situation and a gentle giant of a man who can’t stand to be touched. It takes a while for them to meet but from that first moment they did I was onboard. It wasn’t OTT. Repo’s issues with touch were handled gently and ensured their relationship grew slowly. He was possessive without being a dick about it. He wanted to lift her up, not hold her down. There were a few eye-rolling moments but I really liked them together.
So this was gearing up to be a winner, right until the end showdown. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone but I honestly can’t remember the last time I was so disappointed in an ending. The “event” with the bad guy was so predictable and corny and then right when It was way too rushed and lost a lot of the emotional connection I had to the characters.
All in all I enjoyed the majority of this and I’ll check out the next book. Though I’m on the lookout for a solid ending.
This one starts out so rough for Kennedy! I hated what she was going through, hated that she felt like there was no other choice. When Repo gave her the chance for different she grabbed it. I loved that Repo could see something in Kennedy, probably because he had his own bad past. While things were rainbows and puppies for them right away, they did get there. They needed to build the trust to really share their secrets, for Kennedy to see what a real MC was about, not what she knew. Every day helped. By the end of the book, things were so much better for Kennedy, the threat gone, her sister and her safe and with a family again, an odd one, but still family, Repo by her side, there was no where to go but up for them both!
So I feel terrible rating this book because I DNFed it but have made it 60% of the way and I just didn’t see myself finishing it. This one just wasn’t for me.
This was a terrific first book from a new Brothers by Blood chapter. I loved getting to know some new characters, but no worries.... some old faces pop in time to time. Kennedy is one tough chick but with a need for love. And our alpha hero Repo with make you swoon. He's so tough but will melt your heart at times. There's just so many little moments that I gushed over with the two of them. As for the storyline, it kept you on your toes with moments of heartbreak, happiness, sexiness, anger, compassion, and surprises around corners. But if you loved the family feeling from the other Brothers chapters, this one won't disappoint either!
I have previously read the Club Girls box set that focuses on the Brothers by Blood MC in Alabama. There were some books that were better than others, but for the most part, I enjoyed it. It's been awhile since I picked the box set, but I figured I would start the Phoenix chapter as a pallet cleanser in my reading. It was just ok. I found it hard to get into the story, and I didn't really care for the characters in the beginning. There was a huge disconnect that was hard to get over. Eventually, they grew on me, but it still had an overall blah feeling. I'll continue on in the series, but this one won't be on my reread list.
I love these books. The very unique original plot based on the stories of club girls and their men make for a real interesting dynamic. This world and its concept is so interesting and very different to your typical MC story giving us a new perspective on the MC world and the characters that come with it.
Kennedy - Five years of paying her fathers debt to Red Riot MC and the end is near. Five years of protecting her little sister Brooklyn from the dirty hands of scum bags. Putting up and shutting up is the key to survival but for Kennedy control isn't always so easy when your backed into a corner.
Repo- A past that haunts him. A man who can't be touched. A protecter to those who need it. Enforcer who likes to enforce. Damaged but not broken he takes whats his.
My thoughts- The story starts of with a giant slap of reality into Kennedy's situation. It's not pleasant and shit only gets worse from that point. Diving straight into the thick of things immediately we're giving a run down of the characters and a good idea of their part in this story. Unfortunately that means we get the displeasure of meeting Crow the slim ball president of Red Riot MC and Kennedy captor. He controls her life by holding her sisters head in the fire just to make sure Kennedy stays in line. Kennedy obviously gets the rough end of deal not only having to put up with the shit Crow does.. but also what everyone else wants to do to her under his authority. Life basically sucks and her only light in this sea of bleak darkness is her little sister Brooklyn and Laken a girl who's also stuck at the club just like her but also someone who has her back. The romance is slow burning at first instead of throwing us in the deep-end with them we get each of the POV's giving us a real good understanding of both situations and a feel for them individually as characters. From the minute they meet the chemistry is palpable and the connection instantaneous but its not smooth sailing for these two damaged characters. Their road is hella rocky but the foundation they build on is rock solid. Despite their pasts impacting greatly on their lives they still manage to move past and heal each other slowly. It's not easy for them but I suppose nothing worth fighting for in life really is and boy do these pair fight for it. They are both very much alike. Both protecters, Both caring, both sweet and both have a shitty past.
Suspenseful, heartbreaking and emotional. Two broken souls learning to heal one piece at a time. A climactic gritty raw build up jam packed with action, revelations and learning. The story at times is real tough to swallow. It touches on subjects that are painful to read but also necessary to understand them and their history. Addison yet again did a fantastic job on giving her girls the light to shine in a positive way instead of being portrayed as the bad bitches. The characters as always are fantastic breathing so much life into an already bursting story. I'm already loving these characters as well as some old faces and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
If you're trigger sensitive then beware that this may not be for you so read up just incase.
I'm so intrigued about whom Laken will end up with and also what her story is.. I cannot wait to hear about her. Also Shotgun?... exciting times. Another great story.
This is the first book I have read by Addison Jane and this will not be the last! I loved every moment of this book. It doesn't hurt that I am an MC LOVER! I love a strong biker who defends his family and protects them all in one heart beat. That is who Repo is. He is a great guy there for his club and his brothers and now a woman he wants as his old lady. Kennedy had his back and now he has her back and he will get her away from that piece of shizz President who is abusive to her. Yes her father left her with a debt but that don't mean she should be treated like shizz.
Poor Kennedy I cried for her because she has a sister to take care of and her piece of shizz father steals from the club and runs off leaving Kennedy to pick up the pieces. So she does what the club says and when she meets Repo she is attracted to him and shows him interest and kindness. She is a simple girl who wants nothing but for her and her sister to be protected and to live a good life.
I felt so many emotions while I was reading this book. I cried, I laughed, I screamed, and yes I almost threw my kindle across the room but it is a new one so I stopped myself. This is a must read series if you love a good MC story and lots of angst.
I enjoy a good MC romance and Kennedy is up there with the best! There is enough grit and violence to make it realistic, yet the story and romance took me to my happy place. The story has surprises and turns that kept me interested.
Kennedy is a young girl trapped with nowhere to run. Her life is dark and painful yet her options are limited at best. Her priority is to protect her sister. Repo is a good guy biker with a tortured past. I liked how these two grow into each other. They don't try to change one another, they mould and fit into their life together.
Kennedy is the first book in the Phoenix Club Girl Diaries. I enjoyed the sub characters that had obviously come from a previous series by the same author, however, I didn't feel not reading those books affected my enjoyment of Kennedy. I look forward to future releases in the series, especially Little Sister Brooklyn.
*WARNING* contains explicit adult love scenes, violence, cursing Repo is the enforcer for the Brothers of Blood MC. Repo has his issues, his past is so messed up, he can't stand to have anyone touch him. Repo is loyal and extremely protective of family and loved ones and any member of the Brothers are family. Kennedy is in a bad situation. Kennedy was forced into Red Riot MC to pay a debit that wasn't even hers to begin with. Kennedy puts up with the degradation and brutality of Red Riot because she has no other choice. What I like most about this is it shows a different side of club life with the Red Riot MC. This was a great story with the underlying factor being greed.
-Eventually, selling your body wasn't enough. They wanted your soul too. But at least you could charge extra for it. What's fucking left of it. -
This was a fantastic start to a new series by Addison Jane. I was so happy to get my hands on this book! I love everything about these guys that she has created! Alpha Males with a lot of heat and heart!
I loved Kennedy and how protective she was of her sister. Repo was amazing. I just loved how soft he was with Kennedy. I can't get enough of this MC series!
Love this new chapter. Really loving the characters, the storyline, hot alpha men, strong AF women and just overall brilliant story. And the things that Kennedy went through to keep her sister safe was just heartwarming and heartbreaking. I think her and Repo were made for each other. Can't wait to see who's next. You don't have to read the Club Girl Diaries to read this one but as an avid reader I suggest that you do. They intertwine , so to understand all the chart and interactions highly suggest. And I highly recommend this book. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
I loved the story of Repo and Kennedy! This book was amazing and showed the really ugly sides of life sometimes. It was often real and raw and painful, but love did win.
Repo had a trauma so huge he blanked it out but the residual effects remain. Kennedy was used and abused to the point of almost losing herself. When these two broken people find each other, it is an unusual sort of magic. It would not be for everyone, but it was perfect for them.
This book was a hard read for me I don't know why. But it held the notion that not all family is related by blood and I believe that. We make our own family it's a beautiful thing and this put it at the centre of it
Kennedy is doing what she has to do to protect her sister. She will fight to keep her safe, no matter the cost.
Repo is a protector. It's just who he is. For some reason he is drawn to Kennedy and has the need to protect her and keep her safe. Giving her the option to be safe may be harder than he thought.
HOLY COW!!
Be prepared ladies, Repo is one sexy beast!
This book is nothing short of spectacular!! I felt like I was living the journey right along with the characters. Many times I found myself breathless and on the edge of my seat, needing to know what was happening next. I loved every beautifully dark, edgy, and tortured word! Such eloquent writing, full of passion, suspense, and emotion. It will suck you in deeply from the start! An absolute fantastic book and a MUST READ!!
I really enjoyed Kennedy. I love how he realised that something was wrong and got her out. Then sent someone to get her sister out. The twist was good. Hope you all enjoy Kennedy too. Thanks.
I don’t usually read books where the heroine offers up her body because the stories are generally fast paced and insta love but this was different. This one was unique. People usually shy away from books where the girl is a club whore or sleeps around but why should we discriminate?! Why are the heroes only allowed to promiscuous?!
Kennedy is a selfless girl who has been dealt a shitty hand in life. She has a younger sister who she would give her life for. She sacrifices herself and goes through some tough shit so her sister can lead a “normal” life. Her circumstances leads her to Repo who has also been through some trauma in his life. He has some issues which makes him all the more protective of Kennedy. They have an instant connection but the fact that they didn’t immediately jump each other really appealed to me. He was very protective over her and did tend to get jealous on occasions. Their relationship was different than other’s because of Repo’s hard limits but they made it work. They find ways around it.
Reading this made me wanna go through all of Addison Jane’s previous books and want to read them. I’m really interested in Huntsman 😉😍.
Kennedy will do anything to protect her sister. She is in debt to Crow and he is one mean man. She meets Repo and really doesn’t know what to think. His club is so different. He knows she needs him but as no clue why. These two set in motion a series of events that will right the wrongs done to her. Repo is a great character and he will make your heart melt. Kennedy is a strong woman that needs to put her trust into something good. Awesome writing with a storyline that is fantastic.

Great Book
This book was absolutely awesome! I was hooked from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for the next book.

What an amazing story of sacrifice and redemption. Both Kennedy and Repo are carrying some serious baggage from their past. Kennedy's past isn't ready to let go and boy is he evil. I loved this story and how no matter what Kennedy faces she doesn't lose who she is. I loved all these amazing characters which just add to the story. I highly recommend this series and Addison Jane blew me away!!!
Kennedy is the second book I have read by Addison and I am quickly becoming addicted to her words.
Kennedy is faced with a hard decision as a young girl and she will do what it takes to protect her sister. She is paying off a debt that isn’t hers. With light at the end of the tunnel, she has plans to leave this life behind.
Repo is a protector by nature, whether it be his club or his family, he will do what it takes. Kennedy is no exception. He feels a draw to her that he cant explain. Will he be able to keep her safe from he demon who wants to control her.
I LOVED this story and look forward to reading more in the series!!
I am normally not a fan of club girls . They are usually catty and slutty and try to break up couples . When a friend recc’d this series I avoided it because I figured the girls would cause drama like they do in so many MCs . This gives a totally different perspective on the club girls . Kennedy wasn’t a whore of her own free will. She was doing what she had to to survive . When Repo helps her he knows he wants her to be his . They both have a terrible past to overcome but with the help of the rest of their MC family they can overcome anything .
I enjoyed this book. It had a good plot and the characters made me root for them. But there was just too much extra stuff that wasn’t needed. It also took too long for Repo and Kennedy to actually meet. A good amount of suspense, but the romance was lacking.
Dark themed Outlaw MC - Solid story w storyline discrepanies
Start of a new series set in the Outlaw MC genre. There are multiple triggers with examples included below.
⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adut language; derogatory terms; mental health issues such as anxiety, black out episodes, PTSD, depression, etc.; semi-steamy adult intimate scenes; violence some stereotypical of the MC genre such as kidnapping, abduction, rape, murder, death, torture, coercion, blackmail, drug use, drug distribution, gun running, money laundering, domestic abuse, child abuse, etc.
** Caution contains multiple references to and/or scenes with the mental, physical and sexual abuse of a female AND of children **
There are multiple grammatical issues throughout the story. None are difficult to interpret, but they distract from the overall storyline. These include incorrect word choice (e.g. tense, piece vs peace), missing punctuation, missing words, and extra inserted words.
Repo’s past, some of which he doesn’t remember, makes it difficult for him to tolerate physical touches (there are also some discrepancies with this, as sometimes he is able to pick her up or touch her without an issue).
There were also two timeline issues for me that I can list without revealing any spoilers. Kennedy started dancing for money at eighteen after her Dad went AWOL, but there is one scene that hinted she was sixteen. The other was Repo’s birthday. In the beginning he is twenty-eight and at the end they are celebrating his thirtieth birthday, without enough timeline to cover over a year.
Not sure why my brain tracks this … I am mentioning these things for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.
The first story focuses on Kennedy, an exotic dancer and forced club “girl” for the Red Riot (RR) MC. It shows how she was manipulated into becoming the property of their MC in order to save her little sister. She is beaten frequently and forced to service “customers” between dancing and waitressing (there are some graphic scenes detailing some of the hits and kicks).
The anti-hero is Repo, the Enforcer for the Brothers By Blood (BBB) MC in their Phoenix chapter. He was convicted when he was seventeen of murder when he walked in on the pastor of his family’s church sexually abusing his brother and blacked out. The pastor had done things to Repo as well, but he doesn’t remember the details of that or what he did to him. He had multiple people testify at his trial about the things done to them, so he was only given 5 years.
While Repo was in jail, he met a man doing life that helped him and this led to him joining the BBB MC when he was released. He moved up the ranks and now he was the Enforcer. In the years since, Repo works with his brother (and others) to take care of those that abuse children and he feels no guilt.
Repo’s BBB MC becomes aware of the RR MC running “things” through their territory without paying any fees or asking permission. Both of which are not tolerated. So the BBB MC sets it up where they can deal with the RR MC carriers on an isolated road and send a message. Crow, the leader of the RR MC, decides to reply and brings a group plus 2 club girls to Phoenix.
What happens when they realize that their message was ignored and then compounded when they brought two innocent females as shields?
