Laurie Blalock was born on 1958 in Texas, USA. She started writing at age eight. She credits her father, Fred Blalock, as the guiding force behind her career. She can't remember a time when she didn't want to write. She even went to nursing school so she could have a schedule flexible enough to allow her to write on the side. She nursed for 20 years, working in a variety of settings from the newborn nursery to the recovery room, to dialysis. But she never lost her desire to write. She sold her first book in 1994 as Laura Anthony, but later discovered she had a flair for comedy and branched out under the pseudonym Lori Wilde. She has achieved a lifelong dream and now pursues writing fiction full-time.
First married with Anthony Moeller, now she is married with Bill Vanzura, her own real-life hero. She continued living in her native Texas, with a red heeler/Australian shepherd dog, Cinnamon, and four ducks, Quacker, Big Guy, Affleck, and Sheepidy. She is an adventuresome, she traveled Europe as a teenager, hiked volcanoes in Hawaii, trod on glaciers in Alaska, shot white-water rapids, water-skied, snow-skied, raced all-terrain vehicles, bodysurfed in the Gulf of Mexico, and photographed grizzly bears in Yellowstone. She's taken flying lessons, rode in a hot-air balloon, completed two marathons, and performed with a professional jazz band.

Another fun story in the series. It can be read as a standalone book as the series is based on the town and different residents. Each has their own story.
Bonnie looks exactly like the famous movie star Elizabeth so when she suffered a head injury causing amnesia and her purse is stolen, she believes it when a bystander misidentified her. The doctor calls her ex-fiance to take her back to his Ranch to recuperate.
Some things are very different between the two women, putting doubts in Kurtz mind but he chalked them up to her amnesia until their relationship escalates and her physical attributes don't match up to reality. He confronts her and she runs back to San Antonio to see a hypnotist and discover once and for all her true identity.
Can Bonnie and Kurt triumph over the past to forge ahead? Is she too much like Elizabeth to let Kurt love her? It will be a fun read for you to determine the outcome of this amnesia induced romance!

Working my way through the Texas Rascals series I loved Kurt. Can you imagine how you would feel if you had amnesia? You couldn't even remember your name. That is what happened to Bonnie Bradford. She just happens to be a dead ringer for famous actress Elizabeth Destiny. Then Bonnie has an accident and while in the hospital she does not know who she is or even where she lives. But everyone in the hospital thinks she is Elizabeth Destiny. Naturally they call her ex-fiance Kurt McNally.
Kurt takes her to his ranch to recuperate. I would love to continue to give you details but it would spoil it for you. It is while at the ranch that things happen....lots of things. I loved every minute of this book and hated when it ended.

Good read
He's a hunky billionaire rancher who dumped his cheating, actress fiance. She is a dead ringer for said fiance. Then she gets hit in the head and has amnesia. Someone identifies her as said fiance and she has them call him. He reluctantly takes her home to recuperate, but gets in digs every chance he gets. The trauma of not knowing who you are is the main story and her trying to live down the person they think she is. Loads of angst, a little romance, and no sex. Recommend it you like that.

This is a cute story of love and miss and heartache. Well done Lori Wilde.

Nice romance with a plot that is not angsty or too dramatic. Kurt is millionaire rancher who was engaged to movie starlet and cheated on so he dumps her. He was hurt as he was naïve and didn't realize she targeted his money was out for publicity.

Someone falsely recognizes her as the starlet and Kurt is called to go to hospital to pick her up (against his wishes and better judgement) as they need to release her to someone and they think she is still his fiancé. Trouble in Rascal
Lori Wilde knows how to write endearing love stories! In the beginning I thought this might be a little silly but that changed quickly! With characters you immediately empathize with, loyal friends and the setting around Rascal, Texas it became the story of a lonely young working woman growing stronger and a lonely wealthy man releasing fear and trusting his heart. I've enjoyed all four Texas Rascals I've met so far!

Yes, it is inspiring on several lines. One for kindness, as this woman always seem to be doing for anything and anyone she comes accross. Another for how the couple starts off and after all sort of downings they stay together. And they help eachother out through all the problems they come accross. Even with all the problems everything ended up well for them.

I don't know?
I thoroughly enjoyed the characters. Kurt, Bonnie, Paige, Hub, and Consuelo. Good natured and caring but, the story line lacked something for me. Amnesia is nothing to laugh at and some have never regained there past life. However, I think Kirk could have come to a conclusion a lot sooner regarding the "Elizabeth " look alike. But overall a fun story.

Charming tale of good girl look alike being mistaken for the real thing. Kurt didn't believe that she had lost her memory but couldn't reconcile this new Beth with the old Elizabeth. Bonnie just could not believe that she was the famous movie star......

I thoroughly enjoyed Kurt’s story. Can he learn to get past the heartache and betrayal caused by his former fiancée and his former business partner? Can Bonnie fully recover from her accident and find true love, even though she doesn’t think she’s worthy?

The identity in amnesia
Delightful and very well presented.
Amnesia must be extremely difficult for the victim, and the people who encounter that person.
I enjoyed this sometimes frustrating story, and so I recommend it to any reader.

This was a fun, interesting book. Bonnie looks like a famous actress. When she gets hit in the head, the person that rescues her thinks she is. What follows is a crazy love story mixed with a case of mistaken identity. It also has Cinderella elements. Quick read. Really enjoyable!

The plot seemed predictable, but the writing, the description,, the characterization, more than mad
e up for it. Miss Wilde's craft is unequal. She delivers the words as if they were a bouquet of roses presented to a lover, with beautiful intention.

Lovely quick read, really enjoyed this storyline. Characters were quite believable and reading this book was a perfect distraction on a Sunday afternoon.

I liked the setting, being from the Fort Worth area. I recognized places and shamefully follow some Hollywood drama.. Good storly line.

Really glad I was able to find this book. I've been looking for this for a while now. I've read it years before when the title was "Look-Alike Bride" and it's been one of my favorite book to reread before my sister gave my book away (*sniffles*).
