I woke up with no memory of the last six weeks of my life only to find myself in a strange bed with a strange man telling me that I was in Costa Rica. Not knowing why I’d come to this country or what caused my amnesia should have been the worst I had to deal with. Not with my luck.
Journalist Tess Gardener had gone to Costa Rica to find her missing sister only to reunite with her first love. Now, without memories to tell her that she’s not alone in a foreign country, she trusts the young man who saved her from a horrible car accident and hopes she won’t be betrayed again.
Clay Kurth has accomplished the mission he was sent to Costa Rica to complete: finding the girlfriend of someone in Washington with power. An assignment, however, isn’t what’s kept him in country. Despite not knowing what he wants from his former adolescent crush, he’s vowed not to leave San Jose without Tess.
The web of secrets, lies, and sex weaves tighter in Saving Tess, another installment of M.S. Parker’s latest smoking hot series, New Pleasure.
Step into the seductive and suspenseful world of M. S. Parker, a USA Today Bestselling author where dark romance meets thrilling suspense. If you crave stories that are both steamy and intricate, with characters that are as dangerous as they are desirable, you've found your next obsession.
M. S. Parker specializes in crafting addictive series that push boundaries and keep you guessing until the very last page. Expect to find dangerous mafia bosses and intense, grumpy billionaires clashing with smart, witty young women who, though perhaps out of their element, are quick to adapt and hold their own. Get ready for a rollercoaster of emotions, where passion is a weapon and love is the ultimate prize. Dive into the darkness. You might just find your new favorite escape.
I’ve manage to force my way through these two books but I won’t read another. Besides the 2 main characters that are horrible…Clay has no real depth…I want to protect and I want to have sex…now you know him in his entirety. Tess is too stupid to live. Ms. Parker has edged the line of stupid heroines in previous books, but she went over the line with this one. Over the last weeks I have read dozens of her books, but I’ll be looking for something else to read now. I’m done!
Freaky nurse maids, more kidnapping... oh and I’m in love with Clay!!
This book follows straight on from the first book in the Final Pleasures. This one doesn’t require you to read the first two previous series (Pleasures and Mew Pleasures) but you definitely need to have read Finding Brianne or this won’t make any sense.
So... at the end of the first book Tess has managed to get herself in a whole heap of trouble. She and Clay had just successfully infiltrated the drug cartel and rescued the aid workers including Tess’s annoying and belligerent older sister, Brianne (to be honest I don’t know why they bothered... she’s not particularly nice or thankful for their efforts!).
Tess and Clay have just enjoyed a celebratory romp between the sheets when Tess receives a mysterious call asking to meet her at the Black Cat bar. I mean... come Tess. Can you not hear alarm bells ringing? I thought she was supposed to be intelligent. Instead of leaving a note or telling a sleeping Clay where she is going, she sneaks off to meet her informant in the sleazy bar. However, as she leaves to return to the hotel before Clay wakes, her cab is run off the road.
Clay wakes and Tess is nowhere to be found. He’s frantic. They’d just found Brianne and everything was looking good... but Tess is missing. Could this trip get any worse? Yes... yes it can.
As Brianne and Clay use their contacts and expertise in covert operations to find out what happened to Tess, unbeknownst to them Tess is being ‘cared for’ by her saviour, Luis... a young, local male nurse who apparently found Tess minutes after the crash. Taking her back to his apartment, he used supplies from the local hospital where he acquired his nursing skills and supplies to nurse Tess back to health.
Luckily, most of the damage is minimal and superficial... but there’s a huge problem. Her head injury has caused amnesia and the last thing she can remember is speaking to her mum before Christmas. It’s now the beginning of February and Tess has no recollection of the last six weeks. As far as she’s aware, she’s a reporter following some kind of story.... oh and of course, in her mind, she’s still a virgin. Oh dear!! Why is she in Costa Rica? What is she doing here? Why is she all banged up? Why does she feel different? She’s hurt, she’s scared and completely lost.
The only pieces of information she has is what Luis is able to tell her, but is it the truth? As much she appreciates everything he has done for her, there is something most definitely off about him. The looks he gives Tess feels far too familiar and way more intense than just a friendship, but she also knows she needs him if she is going to survive. He makes her uncomfortable but without his help, she’s as good as dead. Or is she?
When Clay and Brianne start closing in on him however, he suddenly decides that they have to leave. Tess doesn’t trust Luis completely but if he knows the drug cartels ways, she would be best to follow him.
When they finally find her, there’s a renewed awkwardness between Clay and Tess and eventually Clay recognises that Tess doesn’t remember anything. Cue a whole load of twists, turns and tantrums as they try to regain Tess’s memory and attempt to get back onto home soil.
It’s a great second instalment and there’s some real gritty moments. Admittedly, there were times when Tess annoyed me during the whole memory loss part. She knows she’s lost her memory but doesn’t tell Clay or Brianne which means misunderstandings immeasurable! I also don’t like Brianne... I know she’s a soldier and she has to be tough... but there’s a fine line and she steps over it no end of times. I’m surprised Tess doesn’t slap her.
I do however absolutely adore Clay. Such a gorgeous, thoughtful and caring gentleman, even when Tess is clearly not happy with the situation. He’s such a sweetheart. Love him, love him.
I honestly cannot wait to start book 3 and see where the story takes me next....
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. Loved this story about Clay and Tess. He's an FBI agent that is working off the books, Tess is trying to find her sister. This story begins with them finding Brianne and Tess going missing from her and Clay's hotel room. They are searching the city for her for two weeks but not a clue where she went. Tess wakes up in an unknown room with an unknown guy taking care of her. He tells her he rescued her two weeks ago and has been carrying for her. She has amnesia. Wanting to find out what her spotty dreams mean, she asks Luis to take her to where the accident happened. Then a clue comes about an accident down in a bad section of town. When Clay and Brianne go to investigate, they discover Tess and Luis. They are shot at and run for cover. It looks like the cartel is still after them. Luis thinks Tess should stay with him, but she's drawn to Clay every though she can't remember why. After all she's hated her sister and him for sixteen years for their supposed betrayal . Great action with a suspense that keeps going. Can't wait to read the next book.

Tess went to Costa Rico to find her sister in book one. While there she was surprised to find that Clay, her first love, was there also searching for someone. He helped her locate Brianne. Brianne appears to have a good amount of secrets (like the lie she told Tess about Clay).
In this story it begins with Tess having amnesia from an earlier incident. Some man (Luis) is taking care of her, but each day is a blur and too much trouble to think.
Brianne and Clay are searching for Tess, but having no luck. It's like she disappeared into thin air. Clay gets a feeling when he knocks on a man named Luis' door. But he says he hasn't seen her, so Clay moves on. Given his FBI instincts as a profiler, he's keeping that guy on the back burner because he knows somethings up with him.
Great story! Loved the characters! Of course, M.S. Parker leaves us hanging, yet again!! Looking forward to reading Brianne's story to find out what she's up to.
UGGGHHH these guys can't catch a break! All the characters involved in this story are strong willed and stubborn. So you can imagine how difficult it becomes for them to be on the same page working together. They get into all kinds of trouble just by ignoring their basics instincts and by the time they want to react on them it becomes more of a having to fix the problem type of situation. But they still manage to have some luck. With every turn of the page you will think this is when they get their way and then you will get another twist. It is entertaining for sure. These characters have a lot of past drama that they need to let go of. And Clay and Tess are learning to live in the now and work on what comes next for them. If they could just manage to stay together and safe...everything would be easier.
This book was mostly about a drug cartel wanting to get revenge on the two people who rescued some Red Care workers in Costa Rica. Two sisters each have a lover who play an important part in trying to keep them safe from the cartel. One sister had an injury and lost her memory of a few of the past weeks, which made things very confusing for her and somewhat confusing for the reader until, with a great sex scene, she regains her memory. The book has a lot of dramatic events and ends with the hint of another book to come about one of the sisters. I recommend this book to those who like some action and adventure in their romance stories.

A suspenseful, mysterious situation in a foreign country sets the scene for this tale. There is one general mystery but additionally, one specifically pertaining to the main female character. Flashbacks are used to reference a romantic tie between the main male and female characters. A complex story but still easy to read through all the action and adventure. The characterizations were clear and understood within the context of the story. Overall, a good read, not just for romance enthusiasts but for a broad spectrum of readers.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel via Booksprout and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
I love M. S. Parker books. She has such a way with story telling. Saving Tess is the second book in the series New Pleasures. You must read book one, Finding Brianne, before reading this one. After all of the mysteries left open in book one I was anxious to read this book and boy was I not disappointed. The pedal stayed to the metal, leaving me feeling like I needed to hang on for the ride. The fast pace action and suspenseful twists and turns keep you guessing and turning the pages. I can’t wait for the next book in Tess and Clays story!

This is the second book in the series and it is a fast paced mystery but it is not solved in this book. Tess and Clay's relationship is beginning to get back on track and someone from Brianne's past plays a significant role in helping them. Why were Tess and Clay sent to Costa Rica and what is Brianne'sreal role with the government? Who is Luis really and what is his motivation? For all these questions we have to wait for the final book to get the answers.I hope we don't have to wait too long.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book through BookSprout. I was excited for this book because we get more of Clay and Tess. Tess is missing and doesn’t know who she is, Clay and Brianne are doing everything in their power to find her. Their story holds, suspense, mystery, and secrets that are being kept. Will Clay find Tess in time or will he be too late? I guess you will need to read for yourself. Great addition to the series, MS Parker definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more and I can’t wait for what’s next.
Not a standalone. This is the second book in The New Pleasures Series. Saving Tess ends in a cliffhanger. I love this series. It's full of action and mystery. Lots of twists and turns you don't see coming. Told in both Tess and Clay's POV. The storyline is fantastic and will suck you in. Starting where Finding Brianne left off. Tess woke up in a strange apartment and doesn't remember the last couple of weeks. She's in Costa Rica and doesn't remember why she's there. Clay has to work together with Brianne to try and find Tess. Why did she disappear on him?
A story that is filled with drama, lies, danger, secrets, chemistry, love, suspense, twists and emotional ups and downs. It is well written and has a nice storyline and plot. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. The characters are well described and they develop nicely. A second chance to get the one you never forgot back. To deal with the lies and secrets that has to do with the one you not expected it from. At lot happens in this story and it keeps the reader on the edge. Absolutely worth the read.
An amazing story that captivated me from the beginning until the end. It is well written keeping my interest with all the twist and turns, trust issues, misunderstandings, and holding back truths that keeps the story moving forward. The characters are stubborn, strong willed, and engaging as they reminisce about their past and are learning to live in the now and letting go of the past drama. I am on the edge as I wait for the next story to find the key to the mystery.

Saving Tess is the continuation of Finding Brianne. What started with her going to Costa Rica to find her sister Brianne, leaves Tess lost and with amnesia. Running into Clay was an unexpected surprise. Now the tables have been turned, each of the characters in this story are so strong willed none want to give in to the other causing more problems. This is definitely an adventurous love story with a related back story that still needs to be worked out. What an adventure to say the least.
Clay and Tess are back. Only she doesn’t remember the last couple of weeks and on top of that she is missing. Clay is doing everything in his power to save his girl. Will she remember him? Will they make it out alive. I enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading the next part in Tess and Clay’s story.

When Tess wakes up with no memory of the previous weeks she is left to wonder how and why she is in another country. Clay is just as frantic to find her and figure out what happened. Loved this part of the story, seems like these two can never catch a break and stay together for long. The chemistry between them is so strong even without memories Tess can feel him. These two defs deserve an hea after this ordeal.
Wow where to start a lot happening in this book love that it was so in depth that you knew what was happening shame I felt like a pin ball going back and forth, between lost memories these people are forever getting lost lol - Tess is right they need GPS can not wait to find out if Luis is in the next book he sure needs more of what Tess dished out to him.

What I love about Clay and Tess’ story from book one and two, is the second chance at what may have always been meant to be. The story is built on love for a sister that Tess is determined to find, and a dance around the true feelings with Tess and Clay’s relationship. There are lies being told surrounding a disappearance and if the hero who saved Tess is really the villain. So many layers and plot twists to keep you guessing and wanting more!
Thank you for the opportunity and letting me read and review the book was very well written so were the characters you always need a little sexy books in your life I will be telling others about the book and tell him to get the book again thank you for the opportunity into reading and to review the book voluntary and with my honest opinion

Tess was in a car accident and ended up being rescued by a Mystery man called Luis. She wakes up after 2 weeks being unconscious and ends up not remembering why she is in Costa Rica. When she is reunited with Clay and Brianne she doesn’t remember that she lost her virginity to Clay when they were looking for Brianne and the past has been cleared up.
Very hot and steamy storyline. Looking forward to the next book to find out what Brianne’s story is.
This is the second book in the series and ends without a conclusion. This series continues to be a nail-biter that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Well written with captivating characters and an engaging story The drama intensifies and the chemistry explodes. A great read that I read as a reader copy and voluntarily chose to review.
Action packed from beginning to end, Saving Tess was a fantastic read. The adrenaline, sexy time and rekindling of friendships kept the story moving with ease.
However, this has another cliffhanger!! I’m desperate to know the truth. Eager to see how this will end and infuriated that I have to wait.
Finding Tess is the 2nd book...Tess, Clay and Brianne are all in Costa Rica but Tess is missing and has slight Amnesia! Dang it!!!! In true M.S. Parker fashion, there is intensity until the last page! Something that is evident...Brianne is hiding something! Can’t wait for her story!

This book is filled with secrets. I felt so sorry for Tess as she tries to navigate this world she finds herself in. The author made this story suspenseful and interesting and filled it with a cast of characters who provide even more drama and intrigue. A wonderful suspense-filled story to sink your teeth into.
The story was good, but I'm so angry at the character Tess, one minute she's trying to get away from Louis the next she's trying to get away from her sister. Even though as she says she does love her. There is just no consistency with her. In my opinion It's very sloppily written maybe just to fill the book. Not up to this writer's usual standards! Sorry.
When tess comes to from the accident she realized she had lost 2 weeks of memory but a stranger was with her and he was a little weird. Meanwhile clay and brie was looking for tess at the same time treating her like she is breakable. But once they found her a whole new of problems came and once again their lives were in danger.
