How did any artist manage? It’s here, the things you remember, details never revealed till now scenes you never dreamt possible. Starshot – A Rock & Roll Fable. Read it. Live it.
Gritty, almost documentary-style novel. It follows two struggling rock-star wanna be’s from their earliest days of establishing themselves as song writers to finally making a name for themselves with a hand up from an old "friend" who grew into a major role with a record producing company. The story rums the gamete from the backstage scoop on how record company contracts can handcuff their artists, through the frustration of artistic control which, in one artist's case, led to numbing drug use, reckless behavior, betrayals, rehab, and finding lost a love. This story digs deep into the dirt of the recording industry and the life of a touring musician. Lots of egos and clashing agendas. And just when it looks like our main rock star hero has finally found his end of the rainbow…. well… telling would be spoiling the end of the story.
P.S. this book was written and self-published by someone I know from BookCrossing and Facebook. This didn't affect the honesty of my review
I felt that the more out there stories are a bit between too giving of free information and at the same time vulgar. In that respect you are getting a read that will at the least have you reading to possibly see how it all pans out. I received a complimentary copy.
