Nurse Shelly Westbrook has returned home to Marietta hoping to give her son and niece a Christmas holiday to reboot a disappointing year. Christmas is magic and Marietta is the perfect place for them all to start over.
Dr. Peter Davidson has never indulged in the Christmas spirt, but he thinks he’s hallucinating when he reaches the city limits and sees a sleigh driven by a white bearded man in a red suit. The minor collision is inevitable, as is his slight concussion. His obsession with the beautiful angel of a nurse who stops to render aid is unexpected, but just what the doctor ordered.
Can two people nursing broken hearts find love in a quiet mountain town that has always promised new beginnings?
My strong desire to tell stories hit me early in life. At the young age of nine, I penned a play about Nessie from the monster’s point of view. Since then, I’ve written constantly, whether it was in a journal, diary, in my notebooks at school, or on my computer. But I also came by story-telling naturally. My great-grandmothers and grand-parents, all had traveled extensively through the US and the world and told us all of their parents and grandparents immigrating to America and ending up in Texas. Now factor in the numerous aunts and uncles, who were always amazing sources of information and incredible stories about everything from where exactly the tooth fairy puts all those teeth to Santa’s elf who hides in the air conditioning vents and watches us all year, to the mythological creatures that hang out under our beds, and I had a very well rounded education in how to spin a yarn. In my adult years, I learned to be a waitress, bartender, bill collector, bank teller, Blockbuster Video clerk, and dishwasher all before I earned my degree in nursing. Then I spent the next ten years in the adult ICU’s and adult and pediatric trauma units. As if I didn’t have anything else to do, I went to massage therapy school to learn to better care for my ICU patients, many of whom suffered bed sores and back pain due to their extensive times in bed. (Yes, I’m coming up with a hero who’s a massage therapist.) After that certification, I still didn’t think I had enough knowledge and in an attempt to educate myself right out of the general dating pool, I returned to school to earn my journalism degree. It was while I worked as a Level 1 pediatric trauma nurse, I met my husband while I worked at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Now I hope to share my fiction and non-fiction story telling techniques with our children and with anyone who wants to read or hear it.
After travelling to remarry her ex-husband he lets her down yet again. Nurse Shelly Westbrook returns home with their seventeen year old son, Freddie, and her niece, Tia, only to discover an accident en route involving a car and Santa's sleigh! Dr. Peter Davidson is heading to Marietta to visit with his sister Lucy and brother Edmund planning to introduce them to his nine year old twins, Polly and Digory, who he's known about for less than a month. Peter has hit his head, cutting it and causing concussion and he is convinced that Shelly is an angel . . . . Staying in Marietta for Christmas his children are quickly introduced to the caring community, helped by Shelly and her children. Get ready to go ice skating on Miracle Lake, join in the festive activities, experience more surprises - including some from Santa - as well as romance in this heartwarming story in one of my all time favourite settings.
The characters are well developed and easy to relate to. Peter is struggling to be a parent and help the children cope with their grief and turmoil. Shelly is so caring and amazing, especially after how poorly she's been treated in the past. The attraction between her and Peter is mutual but will they allow themselves to love after all the heartache in their past? There are some tear jerking moments in this very moving read, especially when Peter discovers just why their mother disappeared from his life and never told him about their twins. It is a delightful, moving read that I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone who enjoys emotive festive romances with children acting as matchmakers!
I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley and this review is my honest opinion after choosing to read it.
I liked this well enough. Loved that Sally was an “older” divorcee. I know I should expect the romance to be fast in these kinds of books but it still annoys me a bit. Loved the chemistry between all the characters. Sometimes I thought the actually writing was strange (many things felt like they were just being repeated) but otherwise, I has a great time.
הספר השלישי בסדרת Marietta Medical, ההמשך של Resisting the Doctor ושל Challenging the Doctor שאהבתי.
Peter found out that he was a father of 9 year twins and was trying to figure everything out, so he decided to visit his sister & brother in Marietta. Shelley with her son Freddy & niece Tia were driving back from her wedding to her ex when she saw Peter on the side of the road after an accident. This is a cute love story.
Christmas spells the end to a heartbreaking year for nurse, Shelly Westbrook. Could a change of scenery be just the pickup she needs to change her point of view? Doctor for Christmas is a sweetheart of a way to target seasonal blues. Patricia Fischer helps ward off the chill of winter with a heartwarming tale of new beginnings and happy endings.

This book is somehow tied to Twisted Charms by Jennifer Faye because Sage Carrigan's chocolate store is in both.
Shelly and Peter have both been hurt by their significant other. Upon meeting, they're instantly attracted, and within a week, are in love. This felt unnatural, and that's coming from someone who got engaged 3 weeks after meeting him with no trust issues. The kids in this book are the scene stealers! Polly and Digory, Tia and Freddie are great characters, well created (though Polly and Digory act more like 7yo than 9).
----SPOILERS---- Dr Peter Davidson learned 3wa he has 9yo twins, Polly and Digory, after their mom died. Driving to Marietta to visit family, he hits a sleigh. Did you kill Santa Claus? The onboard operator calls EMS and his siblings Edmund and Lucy, who he's visiting for Christmas. Digory: “If that’s Santa, I’m not with the guy who hit you, sir!” Peter gets out to check the sleigh driver. The sleigh is a masterpiece. Santa's driving, and he's OK. He gives Peter a blanket and hot chocolate. Santa knows his name. I know your siblings, you have Lucy's eyes. Mr Nicolas walks him back to his car. Onboard says his kids know a lot of knock knock jokes. He passes out.
Shelly Westbrook is mad at her ex, Gill, because they were in the middle of being remarried after 5y divorced when his current girlfriend showed up with 2.5 kids. Shelly gave her the ring, grabbed 17yo Freddie, their son, and left with Tia, her niece. Her brother's stationed overseas, and after 3y, Tia feels like a daughter. They come upon the car accident. She's a nurse. The kids won't unlock doors for Freddie because stranger danger. Unless Shelly tells a joke. She does, they don't get it, but they let her in anyway. Onboard scares her. Kids scare Tia. Shelly's attracted, onboard tells her he's Dr Davidson.
Angelic voice, smells nice. Thanks, I showered. She holds his face while checking something, he kisses her palm. “You’re warm. Like a beautiful cup of hot chocolate.” “Beautiful hot chocolate, huh? I’m far from beautiful after driving for two days. You’ve had a concussion for sure.” He opens his eyes. You tricked me saying you weren't beautiful, are you an angel? Freddie: (groan) You look like an angel? That’s the lamest line ever. S: It's been a hard few days, get in our car with his kids. P: Hard few days? She tells him, reveals insecurity about being unable to bear children. He wants to hit somebody.
"Part of her really wanted him to be a man of his words because Shelly, like any woman, wanted to be appreciated for being the strong, intelligent, beautiful woman she knew she was. Especially by a guy who appeared to be the living, breathing embodiment of sex." At the hospital, he invites her to dinner. Edmund, Lucy, Polly, and Digory come in. Lucy hugs Shelly because she heard about wedding fiasco.
Digory: Too bad your cut isn't lightning bolt like Harry Potter; then I'd like you. Peter tells Edmund and Lucy that he's a father, found out 3 weeks ago. Simone, long-time girlfriend, killed by texting driver after dropping off kids at school. They relate; Lucy was slightly older when their dad killed by drunk driver, mom severely injured. Peter became instant dad. It's why they all went into medicine. He and Simone had even talked about naming children, hence Magician's Nephew. Simone had left an envelope with a friend with Just In Case information, which is how CPS new to contact him. There's also an envelope for his eyes only; he hasn't opened it yet. Lucy (gently for kids's sakes): Why didn't she tell you, reach out to us? Dunno. Her will asks that their lives not be disturbed, so I'm supposed to give up my Florida life to move to Maine. He asks siblings for help with Christmas, and he has Montana medical license already. Polly: “I’m so excited to have Christmas! We didn’t think it would happen, since Peter-Daddy hit Santa.” Shelly comes in with pain meds and discharge papers. He wants to make her blush. Lucy is with Thomas, Edmund with Jade (probably first 2 books in series). Shelly gives his kids smiles.
Freddie's bummed about everything because of Gill. She has to get rid of married stuff like his and hers pillows. She's not sure about fantasizing about Peter because fatherhood is recent, which means he was a love ’em and leave ’em type or someone kept a massive secret from him and felt justified in doing so. Freddie's finally unloading frustration with Gill. “Honey, I don’t know why your father can’t figure himself out, but we did our part. We kept our promises, he didn’t, but we keep doing the good, right things for our lives and ourselves.” Freddie knows Gill's going to disappoint those other kids. Tia: Let my dad take him out (military). Shelly bought pretty red dress for New Year's; stilettos, too; imagined it being unzipped. Tia offers to babysit so she can go out with Peter: “Because all these years, I’ve seen the way Gill looked at you and he never, ever looked at you like Dr. Peter did. I mean, it was so intense, I think I might have gotten pregnant.” Shelly tells kids they can decorate, but no tree.
Simone had told the kids, not only about Peter, but his siblings, too. They join Shelly at the diner. The kids know TV shows, movies, books, languages, Scrabble, retain data. Shelly warns him about town gossips, one at pharmacy, which is why people buy condoms in Bozeman, then averts discussing condoms with kids. They want a tree; how, when in hotel? “It’s enough you tried to kill Santa, now you won’t get us a tree.” Shelly offers to let them help her pick out tree tomorrow. Polly hugs her, Shelly cries.
Digory wants gloves; just bought you gloves. Peter chastises Digory for acting entitled. Polly cries: Mommy would say the same exact thing to us when we were bad. Both hug him, crying, I want my mom. No one's had time to grieve. Mr Nicolas sees them, they tell him mom died, did you know Peter knows all about that? He tells story, still sad but doesn't hurt as much. Digory calls him Dad.
Shelly talks to Aunt Sue in the hospital (Gill's uncle's wife) about love and marriage. Mr Nicolas gives foreshadowing of her grieving Gill and finding Peter while she records his vitals. Sue: Your heart left Gill the first time he cheated on you. Stayed for Freddie.
Friday, Shelly etc go to the hotel to pick up Peter etc. They get caught under the mistletoe, the quick peck turns into bone melting. Freddie and Digory don't like it. At the tree farm, Peter loves the Charlie Brown Christmas perfection. He holds hands with Shelly, then kisses her. Freddie pelts him with a snowball. Digory and Freddie go at it, fun. He tells her he'd dated Simone 5y. He proposed at breakfast after incredible evening, she said no, moved to Maine, wouldn't answer communication. The kids decorate the tree, then they watch Grinch.
Ice skating the next day, Freddie teaches Peter. Tells him not to hurt Mom. After, Peter etc have dinner with Edmund, Lucy, and sweeties. They offer to take the kids for the night. The next morning, the kids decorate cookies at the hotel while Shelly and Peter go to his room for intense petting and pleasuring. Neither made a trip to Bozeman.
Shelly drives home while Freddie and Tia help the diner. Gill is there. She tells him to go away over and over. Freddie says it, too; asks why weren't we enough. Gill is mean to Freddie, Shelly pushes him away, live with your choices, and they go in the house without a backwards glance.
Christmas morning, Polly and Digory are excited for a little Christmas tree and gifts. They give him frames they made with pictures Tia took. Tia comes to get kids to help at diner, they're excited to be with Tia and Freddie. She gives Peter a photo album. He cries. Shelly arrives after the kids have left, they pleasure each other, then go to the diner. Peter's in love with the town, and open to loving her.
Peter works a shift in the ER. Mr Nicolas is in again with breathing trouble. He says Peter's wish for answers and a home base, what he asked for while in the sleigh, are in the envelope.
New Year's Eve, Shelly is alone so she takes a long bath, gets in flannel pjs, and reads. Until Peter shows up with dinner and wine. She puts on her red dress and stilettos, they make love. Freddie comes home early and wants to know Peter's intentions. Peter says I love you. Shelly fights it because it's only been a week, she's afraid of betrayal. Fear wins.
At the hotel, Peter is hurt. He reads the letter, which points him to a video. During his last year of medical school, Simone fell in love with a woman. Her family rejected her. Karen didn't want to be full-time mom after 3y so moved next door. She knows he'll need to be with his family for help. She loves him, but couldn't stand if he rejected their babies. The kids wake up, caught a little of the video. They want to stay with family. They're good with him marrying Shelly, her kids are cool.
Freddie reminds Shelly that her mom fell in love with her dad in a moment. Tells her he'd never seen her smile like that with Gill, even when times were good. She takes a nap, smells his cologne. Freddie wakes her, need to take shift at hospital. No. Peter and kids in accident. Be there in 10m. Peter and kids have flowers for her. When the kids are distracted at the desk, he apologizes for scaring her, we're moving to Marietta for a change in school lunch menu and family. “Shelly, I know you’re the most beautiful, most amazing woman in my world. I want to get to know everything about you. Romance you. Love you like you deserve to be loved.” Freddie gags. “I want to build a life with you. With us. With all of us.” She says I love you, kisses him thoroughly. “Ugh, is this going to be another kissing date?” Digory stuck out his tongue in disgust. “Better get used to it, kid. I think there are gonna be a lot of kissing dates.” Freddie rolled his eyes.
After the wedding that didn't happen Shelly Westbrook just wants to get her son and niece back to Marietta and make the best of what's left of the holidays. On the way they come across an accident between a car and wait...is that a sleigh?? Dr. Peter Davidson has just found out he's a father to an adorable set of twins. They are on their way to Marietta to spend the holidays with his family when a sleigh darts out in front of him. He's positive the face he looks up into is that of an angel. He may be hallucinating but it's Shelly's dreams that are about to come true.
Wonderful holiday story that I think everyone will enjoy.
Doctor for Christmas is a heart-warming story of two people and a chance encounter gave them a gift of light and hope for Christmas. I enjoyed this story and this series and look forward to reading more

An Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book was received free via Netgalley for an honest review.
Fischer's Marietta Medical series (heavily influenced by The Chronicles of Narnia) has now gotten through Lucy, Edmund, and Peter, who is the focus of Doctor for Christmas. In the Narnia series, Lucy and Peter were always my favorites, something that has not translated to this series. Here, Edmund (Challenging the Doctor) is easily my favorite. Peter just wasn't doing it for me.
And frankly, Polly and Digory just were not the best choice of names for his children, no matter how tied to the Narnia books they are. Speaking of Polly and Digory: they were both too old for their chronological ages using language far advanced for their years. Sullen Digory and bright, chirpy Polly both had issues with characterization that I just could not get over. I felt that neither worked well for their age and both felt flat and uni-dimensional.
Of the four in Narnia, only Susan is ever shown in a more sexual light - in A Horse and His Boy, Susan is being courted. So, it's fairly easy to give Lucy, Edmund, and Peter whoever you want because there are no expectations. Peter's innate honesty and overall goodness (both in Narnia and here) is then contrasted against the fact that the mother of his children didn't trust him. To Peter, as well as to me, that was a direct slap in the face.
Peter felt two-dimensional at best. He seemed mostly clueless, helpless, frustrated, and very alone. These are not qualities I would ascribe to his namesake and I found them frustrating here. Peter was incapable of taking charge; constantly hurt by his ex; and overall kind of wimpy.
Shelly, on the other hand, felt strong and powerful even as she dealt with the latest betrayal by her own ex. She stepped up, kept on going, and generally showed us all what a strong woman is capable of. With two teenagers to care for, a nursing career, and life in general, Shelly was the strength Peter leaned on. I liked Shelly a lot and liked how she dealt with the bitter blows of life. I liked her kids and their love and protectiveness toward her. I liked her sense of fun and her warmth that so easily included Polly and Digory.
I was deeply disappointed by the reveal - the secret to why Peter's ex kept him in the dark about the kids. I'm also less than impressed by the actions of some of the secondary characters involved. While Peter was less than impressive, this was still a feel-good Christmas story. With only Susan - the most problematic of the Narnia children - left, I am curious how things will shake out when she arrives.
Just about anything can happen in Marietta, Montana, and usually does… especially around Christmas time. So a car vs Santa’s sleigh? Not beyond the realm of possibilities in this town!
Dr. Peter Davidson is heading to Marietta to visit with his sister Lucy (Resisting the Doctor), and brother Edmund (Challenging the Doctor) with his newly discovered twins for the Christmas season. His life has turned upside down, and all he’s looking for is to get to his family and figure out what happens next. The last thing he expected was to actually run into a Christmas sleigh driven by a man in red or the lovely angel who tended to him right after the wreck. Both will play a large part in his life from this moment on.
Shelly came home to Marietta hoping to find some of that famous Christmas magic for herself, her son and her niece. It’s been… well, it’s been quite a year, one she’ll be glad to see the back end of that’s for sure. Probably the last thing she expected was to come upon a wreck between Santa’s sleigh and a car involving one handsome man with an obvious concussion and two children. She also probably couldn’t have imagined that she’d just met her future… but she’s back home in Marietta so she should have known better. *wink*
If you’re looking for a fun, sizzling, family loving, magical Christmas story, and happen to love anything Marietta, Montana — then Doctor for Christmas is perfect for your holiday reading list. Shelly and Peter each have very good reasons for not risking their hearts ever again. Yet one accident, one small town with a track record of happy ever afters and the magic of Christmas are about to change lives once again. I had fun with this story, enjoyed catching up with old friends as well. If you love a good romance, interesting characters, have a Marietta Montana obsession or simply love a good Christmas Romance… then you’ll want to pick up Doctor for Christmas this season. Indulge yourself and enjoy.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
The concept was good, and I really loved me Nicolas, but the writing style lacked something to me.
I read this book because it was free, it was set in Marietta and I like to read sentimental christnassy stories at this time of year. Before this book I had read two Christmas stories set in Marietta by Jane Porter and this was the vibe I was hoping for.
I like books where the characters grow and change, but I didn't feel either main character free at all. Much of the book was taken up with the characters thinking of his much they lusted after each other and how sexy they thought the other was. The sex scenes were very long and far more descriptive than anything else in the book. I enjoy a well written sex scene that furthers the story but I skim read these as I just wasn't interested enough in the characters to care about who did what to who, how it felt or what order clothes were removed in. I wanted the main characters to spend more time laughing together, sharing heart to hearts, learning to rely on each other and then the sex scenes would have felt like more than just lust.
I liked the children, and their relationships to their parents. I thought Freddie's character developed well as did Diggorie's. And there was a lovely scene where the twins break down and cry to their dad in the street, and the family bond grows.
Why does ever character smirk in this book, why does no one just smile. To me a smirk is a kicking thing, an arrogant thing.
I did finish this book, mostly because I wanted to find out what the letter from the twins mum said. Unfortunately the reasons given in the letter were not good and I couldn't really see any real reason for the children to be denied their father for 9 years.I
The book wasn't for me, but If you like hot steamy romances this is definitely one for you.
I have been waiting for " Dr Peter" to get his book for SO long and it was so worth the wait! Author Patricia e Fischer has given us a wonderful look into Marietta at Christmas time. We also got to see more into the history of Lucy, Edmund & Peter and how they got to be like they are. If you have read the other books ( if not I highly recommend them) you know each sibling is very caring and giving and yes very much into medicine. In this book we get to know Peter but also one of the nurses Shelly and her family too. This book had me smiling, laughing and yes even crying at times. I adore not just Marietta but this author. She knows how to reach deep down into my heart and squeeze... Thank you Tule for giving us authors like this to read not just at Christmas but all year long.
I was wondering if this would be the last book for these sibling and then I got happy because it's not, they have one more sister who I am hoping comes to town and meets her own hottie..I still like Lucy and Thomas the most, still can't stand Jade I feel that never really apologized to Lucy like she should have, for giving her opportunity after opportunity and she was a bitch..Edmond could have done better..anyhoo enough of my rambling..This is Peter's book the eldest and he recently found out that he is a dad to 9 year old and the only reason he found out was because she died and sent the letter. He ends up meeting Shelley who was about to remarry her ex when down the aisle comes a pregnant woman with 2 kids intow. Luckily for her she meets Peter and they get a chance of having a second chance to love
Our heroine has been driving since morning from Salt Lake City to Montana. It's afternoon with 2 kids in the car and happens upon an accident close to home. She's an ER nurse and follows the first responders to the hospital. Why? Well, he has a manly chest. Then she start working and when he's fixed and back on his feet and it's hours later she comes in to sign him out. Where are the kids and why is she doing this. Why is she even there. Hurt guy makes a comment that he's something and with 2 doctors standing there she the one to check on him. So to say the first couple of chapters make zero sense and some beta and alpha readers weren't doing their jobs. But I was going to sleep at that point so I keep reading. It wasn't bad and the kids he inherited were a little to "perfect" to be real. But not bad overall. Really needs a good tuneup.
I really thought that perhaps Doctor for Christmas by Patricia Fischer would be somewhat anticlimactic after the last book’s big mystery reveal. However, I was happily surprised in spite of the cheesy cover.
This one also has a collision of sorts in it but it is way different from any other. It is quite the interesting and fun read. Shelly Westbrook and family need a wonderful holiday season but then so does Peter Davidson. I enjoyed seeing the two medical personnel find the holiday spirit as well as finding love in Marietta, Montana.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love Marietta, the town, the location, the scenery, and the characters that inhabit it. "Did you just kill Santa Claus?" is a great opening line and Mr. Nicolas is a sweet character. Peter running into his sleigh is how Peter meets Shelly, a nurse who stops to help. I appreciated how they both have painful pasts and are wary of any commitments. Peter is coping with finding out he's the father of 9-year-old twins, and now has custody after their mother died. Shelly learns, again, she can't trust her ex-husband. This is a Christmas romance so even though it takes place over a short amount of time it still feels like they are being cautious and taking their time as they get to know each other and their kids learn to like each other. The small-town friendliness helps and in the end Peter and Shelly get the family they want. Very heart-warming read.
I enjoyed this story. Good plot and characters. BUT! Please look up the definition of “smirk”. The incorrect usage of This word over and over again very much interfered with the flow and emotion of several scenes. That said, please get a (better) editor. There were so many misspellings/wrong word/missing word/wrong antecedent, grammatical errors etc. I was frustrated at being pulled out of the scene so many times, staring at a word or phrase or rereading the scene to see what I missed. In one scene , a character took off an article of clothing only to still be wearing it for several more paragraphs before removing it again. Please respect your readers and do better editing before publishing.
A knowing Santa, a lost father and a caring nurse plus two children and two teens all combine to create an endearing (and sizzling at times) and touching Christmastime story. Literally running into Santa and his sleigh with his car, Dr. Peter Davidson and his twins, Digory and Polly, begin their trip to Marietta to surprise his siblings. Getting a concussion in the wreck was not in his pans nor was meeting nurse Shelly Westbrook. She’s returning from a non-wedding to her lousy ex-husband. The magic of Christmas and Marietta works wonders for the motley crew of Peter, Digory and Polly and Shelly and her teens. Always listen to Santa!
Peter has suddenly became a dad of 9 year old twins that his ex girlfriend never told him about. He goes to Marietta to spend the holiday with his siblings and get to know his kids. While there he meets Shelly and is instantly attracted to her.
I enjoyed this one. Peter is struggling to be a good dad and deal with why his ex never told him about them. Shelly, who is also a single parent, is trying to get over he cheating ex and enjoy the holiday season. Peter helps her get over her fear of relationship and believe in love at first sight. Together these two learn to be a family and heal each other.
A wonderful story about Peter, who just recently found out about his 9-yo twins, and now has to be their sole parent, and Shelly, a nurse who works with Peter's siblings, who breaks off her engagement to her ex at the Vegas altar! So many tropes! And of course it all takes place at Christmas in a snow storm with a Santa sleigh and Mr. Nicholas (who knows more than he should!). I had fun with this story and I loved all the characters and the kids (who wouldn't love these kids?). I hadn't read the previous stories in the series, but I'm intrigued now...
First and foremost shame on Tule Publishing for releasing this book without proper editing. It made it difficult to read, it was sloppy and at times incoherent. The author wrote the bones of what could’ve been a good story, but she failed there also. It was a short story to begin with and that was OK, however and once again I’m going to point to the editing issues would’ve been much more enjoyable to read have been edited properly.
Very disappointing since I do like this author very much.
Peter is a doctor in Florida who is contacted about the two 9 year old twins that he has in Maine. Simone had left him 9 years ago after he asked her to marry him. He picks up the twins and goes to see his brothers and sisters in Montana for Christmas. He does not know what he is going to do. He is just getting to know his children. The questions now are where are they going to live, what are they going to do and how is the new lady that Peter has just met, Shelly, is going to fit in.
Terrific modern romance story about blending a family and healing from past romantic hurt. When Nurse Shelly Westbrook stumbles upon an accident on the way home and meets Dr. Peter Davidson her life, and that of her son and niece changes. Dr. Peter's live has been in an upheaval since finding out he was a dad of twins Digory and Polly. You'll fall in love with these characters and root them on as their lives begin to change!
This is simply a great Christmas book! It has kids,Christmas, kids and romance, along with enough problems to make it good. But I have to admit the kids even outdo the love in this book. You really don’t want it to end, want a book two or something to figure what happens in the future. It has a happy ending but sometimes I wish we could see another few years into their lives.I just hope you enjoy it as much as I did
Peter just found out he has twins. They were born nine years ago. As he is in his way to his siblings' town his car slams into...And a Claus' sleigh? Mr. Nicholas is okay, but Peter not so much. He is now in Marietta, Montana. Adjusting to fatherhood and now the winter cold of Montana, can take a lot of work. Meeting Shelly makes the adjustments just a little easier. Wonderful Christmas story with delightful characters. So worth reading! I loved it.
The town is warm and beautiful even in blankets of snow. For one Dr.Davidson to find out he was a father to 9 year old fraternal twins only 3 weeks prior. He did a wonderful job with the care and concern because as his siblings stated, he’d already had practice as a teen with them. No word on the other sister hearing about them yet. Who would have thought he would literally meet the love of his life less than an hour after crashing into a sleigh.
I voluntarily read a advanced reader's copy of this book for a honest opinion.
Doctor for Christmas by Patricia W. Fischer. A great addition to the Marietta Medical series. This is the third book in the series. Likable characters especially enjoyed the children, Great storyline and setting. I look forward to reading more in this series.
This was a sweet story about Peter finding out he had twins he knew nothing about. He gets them & takes them to visit his family at Christmas & the story gets fascinating as learn about the kids & being a good father. It was a great story & well written. He makes you live the struggle with him.Highly recommend.
Peter with his two kids in tow runs into Santa's sleigh during a snowstorm on their way to visit his family. Concussed when the air bag goes off, he goes to check on Santa who gives him a cup of hot cocoa to warm him up. Thankfully Peter doesn't make the naughty list. This is a lovely romance and recommended to all who love a good HEA.
