Brooklyn is the first book in a new Avery Gale series featuring ten siblings. The Adlers will introduce a new cast of characters while bringing back some of your favorites from Ms. Gale’s other best-selling series. If you loved The ShadowDance Club, Club Isola, The Morgan Brothers, Mountain Mastery, and Masters of the Prairie Winds Club you’re going to love The Adlers.

Brooklyn Adler is a retrieval expert specializing in the return of stolen treasures to their rightful owners. She’s the darling of large insurance companies around the world and the bane of local and international law enforcement agencies. Walking the fine line between hero and thief was always the perfect fix for the pint-sized adrenaline junkie, but after years of working twenty-four seven, she’s tired.
Burning the candle at both ends for weeks, Brooklyn resolves to push through one more big money retrieval before taking the break she’d been promising herself for far too long. With the ancient Egyptian amulet tucked safely in her pocket, Brooklyn is on her way out of Emilio Mendoza’s compound when all hell breaks loose—luckily, she’d inadvertently called in the Calvary. Her soul had reached out to the one man who could hear all she’d never been able to say.
Luke Grayson fell in love with Brooklyn Adler their freshman year at MIT. They’d become best friends and she’d consistently refused his advances because she hadn’t wanted to risk ruining their friendship. As an empath he’d always known how she really felt, but over the last few months he’s sensed the shift in her thinking and knew the time for waiting was over. Their connection, strong enough he could feel her exhaustion layered beneath her determination to finish one last retrieval, was what had summoned him to the east coast.
When things go to hell, he’s waiting in the wings to whisk her away from the small island, but can he keep her safe long enough to prove how perfect they could be together? Or has she finally made an enemy strong enough to pull her into the depths of hell with him?

A big SHOUT OUT to all of the readers who have let me know how much they enjoy my books....you all are the reason I love writing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for you support!

Writing is an escape from normal - which bores me to distraction. I'm sure my family would assure you I haven't even been in normal's neighborhood in years so I probably don't have a real solid grasp of the concept.

I like writing characters that are flawed, but lovable. And I like creating strong women who aren't afraid to speak their minds to the men in their lives.

I also love hearing from readers! Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and avery.gale@ymail.com are the best ways to get in touch with me. Let me know what you like and which characters you think should get their own stories!

- Avery Gale -

From an interview in 2017:
"I don’t share a lot of personal information simply because I live in a small town and the genre I write doesn’t appeal to everyone.

My educational background includes a combined degree – psychology-criminal justice-sociology and a teaching certificate for secondary education. Lots of various jobs, something common in rural communities because there isn’t much available, so you need to be flexible."

Another new series for the talented Avery Gale. Readers have long wanted her to get the characters from several of her other series together and now we're getting just that. The Adlers are a bit different though as you'll find out when you read the book. I won't spoil it for anyone. First up is Brooklyn Adler and Luke Grayson. Oh the dance they have going on is just wonderful. And when Brooklyn's job puts her in danger, the guys from Prairie Winds, Club Isola, Mountain Mastery and Shadowdance show up to help Luke keep her safe. Will she finally let Luke into her heart or will she be taken away before they can make the final connection between them? Hot sex, even hotter men and this story has just hit all the right notes for me. We get glimpses into the other siblings and their lives and this book is setting some of their stories up. New characters and old characters come together in a new and exciting series!!! Can't wait for more!!

DNF - Don’t Bother

If you haven’t read all of her other books, don’t bother. This one reads more like “who’s coming the family reunion” with too many characters from her prior books cluttering it up. The story line is weak and sparse with almost no character building about the couple THIS book is suppose to be about.

Loved Brooklyn and Luke. Great start to a new series

Brooklyn Adler, is 5th of 10 siblings. An MIT grad. At 27 she has.made enough money to live a luxurious lifestyle and never work again . She loves her.job. Somewhere between Laura Croft, Indiana Jones and a little Catwomen thrown in, she works in recovery of stolen valuables. The big insurance companies pay her well.
Brooklyn 's latest recovery nearly ends in disaster. Luckily her.best friend from day 1 at MIT, was their to save her.
Luke Grayson is a.computer genius and has been in love with his best.friend, Brooklyn, since they met. A strong empath and a Dom in the BDSM lifestyle, he has been waiting for Brooklyn to be ready for him to stake his claim. He is done waiting. Brooklyn recklessly put herself in danger and nearly lost her life.
Brooklyn has been in love with Luke since they met. He is her best friend. They are apart of each other's families. She has always feared looking that if she asked.for moore. Luke is determined. His empathic bond to her is getting stronger. She just has.to let go.
Fast paced,.loved the Adler.siblings that have so far been introduced. Nice to see familiar favorites from the Prairie Wind, Shadow Dance, Club Isla and Mountain Masters series. Going to have to do some rereading.

Thought, “hey new author, new series!” What a mistake, if you haven’t read the canon, this is just a guest list. No real character development, ridiculous timelines, not one supporting character has any true flaw or challenge.

Once in a while the main characters get a few pages, then nothing. No tension, no emotion, just a quick jaunt or two to the BDSM club, and everything is perfect.

Obviously there is a bad guy, but the resolution is ludicrous and underdeveloped. It’s like the bad guy is an obligatory plot device to get the location set. Fine, whatever, you gotta create a world and stick characters in it, but the whole book felt like it was written from a bullet point checklist for previous readers.

DNF - which is very, very rare for me.

A very enjoyable book as all of Avery Gale's book have been. Brooklyn is one of ten siblings. She is the hero of large insurance comanpanies as she is a thief that recoups items that have been stolen from their rightful owners. She is in a compound to retrieve an amulet and does, but from there , her friend Luke Grayson and his team retrieve her off the island as she was taking on too much work and increasing her risk. Luke is an empath and was hearing Brooklyn's call for help even though she didn't realize it. This is a great story and delivers as all of her stories do.

What a great start to a new series – I love that we got to see how all the players are connected and see some old characters from other series, this was a fabulous read and it has excitement in spades. I love Brooklyn and Luke as a couple and I loved how he was able to connect with her and know when she was in trouble and he was able to be there to catch her when she fell. Looking forward to the next book in this series, I need to know what happened.

Excellent loved the character mix from previous series

I chose that particular rating because of the mixture of characters from previous series that made me smile as I remembered them and could imagine how they would work together and the trouble the wives and submissives caused i enjoy the place it takes me to and am sure the next installment of your series will not let me down thank you

If you like Avery Gale you will love Brooklyn!

Brooklyn is about retrieval specialist Brooklyn Adler and Luke Grayson. Brooklyn is hired to retrieve an artifact and get into trouble forcing Luke Grayson to finally do something. The reader get to see many characters from her other series. Plus the garden scene with Jacey and Carlie is worth the entire book because they remind of my favorite 4 year old.

Brooklyn

I loved this book. Luke and Brooklyn are great together and their gifts are crazy. It was great to see another strong woman and her soul mate connect. I really liked how all the other characters from the different series were in this book. It was great to learn more about them. I’m excited to read the other Alder books.

Brooklyn is a delightful story that is fast-paced with many twists and turns to keep you entertained. Brooklyn is a sweet, loyal and strong lady. She is not afraid to follow her heart. She is the perfect match for Luke. They are true soulmates. Luke is exactly what she needs and he completes her. Brooklyn will charm and captivate you. You will love the Adlers.

There might be a salvageable story in the book, but it's buried beneath POV changes and seemingly irrelevant asides. The narration is split between ten different characters, most of which don't have a major (or any) role in the plot. Ten! You can't get away with that many POVs in a book from an established series, let alone what's supposed to be the first in a series.

New series

More adventures with some of our favorite folks from other stories and a whole host of new ones to get to know!Brooklyn and Luke were great together. I do wish more time was spent on them and not so much time spent on setting up the next story.

Great New series with many of the old faces turning up. Brooklyn and Luke had such good communication going on that it was fantastic. Nice too meet most of Brooklyn's family which will be seen in future books. Looking forward to the next book.

finally something new - not a copy & paste from another series. Also very few editing errors - again finally! she is paying attention to the editing and not putting out sloppy work.

This new series has wonderful characters that connect to others that Me Gale has written about. The scenes are steamy and got but also beautiful as their relationship develops. Great story full of a fascinating family!

A great start to a new series. Luke and Brooklyn have fabulous chemistry. Some of the brothers I wanted to smack upside the head but I know they will get theirs when they meet their other half. Lots of intrigue and many questions remaining. Can’t wait to read more.

Tantalizing look at characters who will populate upcoming books in this new series. Add to that characters from the Prairie Winds, ShadowDance, Club Isola, and Morgan Brothers series, you've got a completely pleasurable reading experience.

Brooklyn Adler and Like Grayson's love story is all about their soul deep connection. Brooklyn's "one last job" may turn out to be her undoing. Fortunately Luke knew she was in danger so he was there to save the day. Now he needs to convince her that they are meant to be together, she's a submissive and it's time for her to make a career change. It takes the combined talents of the all the special teams of ShadowDance, Prairie Winds and Club Isola to protect Brrooklyn.

Perfect

This was a perfect match up with all of Avery's other books. Seeing people from other series come together for the common good. See what happens when you combine the Shadowdance team, Prairie Winds and Club Isola staff into one unit.....no one stands a chance. The Alders are a group in their own right and I can't wait to see where this series goes.

Avery Gale never fails to deliver!

Brooklyn and Luke are a wonderful couple. I loved their chemistry and I’m honestly glad they weren’t one of those wishy washy couples who refuse to believe in love. I can’t wait to read London’s story next!
