He's lost everything, but there's only one thing he cares about winning back. His wife's heart.
Grant Sumner's fall from grace was epic. In the span of a year, he destroyed his career, his home, his fortune...and his marriage. No one in Hollywood will touch him or his reputation, and his estranged wife is further out of reach than ever.
But with the help of his family, and a shot at working behind the camera instead of in front of it, he's making a comeback.
Under the guise of a film festival, Grant has lured his wife back to his hometown in Colorado to showcase his debut effort as a director. There's only one problem...Sophie doesn't want to be there.
With her sister's help, Grant convinces Sophie to spend a month in the mountains, just the two of them, to reconnect and fall in love again.
Thirty days for a second chance, to show his wife he's a changed man. Thirty days to win back the heart of the one woman he can't live without. Thirty days to make the comeback of his life.
Getting to know the Sumner family has been so much fun and now we finally really get to know Grant Sumner. He and his wife Sophie would seem to have it all. He's a big time movie star. She's a singing sensation. Their life is anything but perfect. They've been estranged for the past year and Grant knows he has to do something now if he is ever to get Sophie back. So with the help of her sister Grant gets Sophie to come to his small hometown of Canyon Creek, CO. He's hoping away from all the pressure and glam and glitz they'll be able to remember what they once had. Will he be able to convince Sophie that he's changed and he now knows what's really important? He's going to need all the luck he can get.
Love this series and this book is one of my favorites. I really enjoy this cast of characters and I think you will too. I highly recommend it.
Oh my! Grant and Sophie were absolutely perfect! I loved how they had to get back to how they once were. They never gave up on each other! So many feels and beautiful moments between them! So happy that Grant and Sophie got everything they wanted! 💛💛💛
I was so looking forward to Grant's book and it did not disappoint. They had been estranged for a year and he wanted, no needed her back. She was afraid. Their issues were huge but not insurmountable. My heart hurt for both of them but persistence and a plan won out. They never fell out of love, they weren't together long enough for it to grow. Grant hopes that Sophie will give him a second chance. I love these books, they draw you in, make you fall in love with all the characters, they break your heart and then put it all back together again. I highly recommend "His Second Chance" and all the Sumner books. You won't be disappointed.
What a great book, I couldn’t stop reading. My heart ached for Grant and Sophie, will they give up on their marriage? Love how Grant realizes what’s important, but will she give him another chance? I cried over their issues and wasn’t sure how they’d get their happy ever after. It’s a very heartwarming story and loved feeling how much they meant to each other and the sense of family love. It’s a really great ending too, I had some happy tears. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.
I truly loved reading this book! Heartfelt, sexy, funny. This small-town romance is a very enjoyable story! His 2nd Chance is filled with great characters, making it the perfect read. I was excited to finally read Grant's story! Grant & Sophie steal your heart from the very first pages to the last. A MUST READ!!!
Grab those tissues. Grant Summer and Sophie have a whirlwind love. Both come from small towns. Grant Summer has always wanted to be famous, be the best of the best. Sophie is a singer, songwriter who does what she loves. As their careers soar there are give and takes but it's all about what you are willing to give up. The meaning of family.
