I read this as part of the Hot on Ice Anthology. When I started it I was a bit annoyed to be reading another second-chance romance. However I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick, super cute read. I enjoyed some of the Southern wit and charm with the sweet as pie digs. The secret was interesting to read and discover. The emotions and hostilities seem realistic and not over the top. I definitely enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of this author and series.

A young hockey player has everything a sports celebrity should want - a great contract, an agent with his best interest in mind, plenty of fans and media exposure and, for a few days, even the Stanley Cup ... but family and drama and family secrets made him walk away from the only things he ever really needed. Now he's back in Dove Harbor where he grew up, hoping to see if he can get back what he lost.
Cooper and Savannah's story is high family drama in a sports wrapper. Whether or not you're a hockey fan, it's a compelling read with all the star crossed romance and family interference of Romeo and Juliet, but with a much more satisfying ending.

Well, the story was cute and all but I couldn’t pass the annoying heroine.... at start she sounded a spoiled 10yd girl and she grew into an annoying little brat.... momma and daddy? Even after all? Yeah, no. Cooper need luck to create a long life with her.
