I really enjoyed this book and found it very thought provoking, motivational and inspiring. I would highly recommend it to everyone. As the authors point out everyone can be a coach to someone in their lives so it’s relevant to everyone.
I can see me coming back to this book again and again to inspire me when I feel a bit lost and to remind me of the key points and what is important. An easy but inspiring read

As is normal for Blanchard (One Minute Manager, etc) this was short and full of pithy, memorable statements. Shula's point of view was entertaining and illuminating. I loved their ideas on perfection and how coaching to it is realistic. I didn't know much about Shula before reading this, and his apparent faith and consistency make me want to research him.

This book is very short. The information is very common. It’s useful, but still common. And surface level. Good if you are clueless. But I am rating 2 stars because the rambling was kept to a minimum, and the information wasn’t backwards. Would not recommend for someone looking to be a successful manager. Would recommend if you’re a (super) beginner or are curious about football coaching advice.

- A reminder to keep your eye on the goal, make sure everyone in the team knows the targets and be ready to change when a situation demands it. ‘ If you don’t seek perfection, you can never reach excellence’.

Short and powerful. Loved the connection between sports and business. Though seemingly unrelated, the two have more in common than we might think!

I liked this little primer. It reminded me that it's easy to get lost in the day to day and miss out on how others are doing. Taking time to notice other's efforts and share a sincere word builds relationships. This book has simple tools to help others be their best. It's easy to get angry and upset when something is not done as expected, and lose control. Taking the time to redirect and focus someone on doing the task right is a better solution and makes everyone feel better in the long run. Also, don't take things too seriously, have a sense of humor and know there is something bigger than you.

Shula, with his 352 victories in football, who would question his greatness? This book is a great source of wisdom in coaching. It is a privilege to be shared such wisdom from the pro. Blanchard is a person of faith, this is I believe is essential for all leaders to have and so is the coach.

An easy read - as Blanchard's books always are, with the main theme broken into digestible, bite-sized pieces.

I feel inspired but not brainwashed; motivated without incentive; I believe in my abilities and the abilities of those I work with.

Was then what it is now. A good book to read. Read this book along time ago for myself. Picked it up again this year for the sake of parenting a teen. Still works.
