Two Unique Connections. One Potential Heir. A Journey To Prove Love Can Be Shared.

Harper Blake thought she was done with surprises. She'd already survived a violent attack, found a new role in her pack, and discovered the startling truth about her mates. Not to mention there's the slight chance that she may be destined to become the Wolf Seeker, a role that would make her the connector to all Four Cardinal Packs.

Well, turns out she's wrong. Fate has plenty more in store for her, including a shocking revelation that leads Harper onto a new path - one that will require Carter Moonshine and Ian Chestwood to go away for a few weeks to train.

The thought of being far away from her mates only worsens Harper's anxiety. With the pack in unfamiliar territory, Harper must figure out how to keep her worries at bay, all while harnessing her fighting skills as a wolf and the magic that begins to stirs within her.

It's time for Damien, Levi, Hayden, and Heston to step up to the plate and prove to Harper that they're just as reliable, charming, and passionate, as their fellow packmates.

For the sake of unity, power, and love, Harper is ready to stand for her pack against an enemy who's too close to home.

Disclaimer: I was lucky enough to receive a free copy of this book, in exchange for my honest review. However, please note that all opinions and views are my own.

My rating: 4.5 of 5!

For the first time in a very long time, I am finding myself struggling with writing a review. Usually when that happens, it's because the book left me feeling uninspired - but that couldn't be further from the truth, with this third book in Yumo's Claiming My Pack series. Instead I suspect its because so much happens, and I'm still trying to gather my thoughts. But one thing that is certain is that Yumo is one hell of an author. I am still a bit mystified about the world she has created, there's been mention of other kinds of shifters (yep, cats. As a feline lover I am soooo wanting them to cross path with one), familiars, witches, vampires (only mentioned briefly) and humans. However, there's no explanation as to what role the humans play in this world. Admittedly, that hasn't been an issue and there haven't been a real need for any clarification on this front, it's just my natural curiosity that's demanding answers.

In this book we discover hidden truths about Harper and Ian's past. Thanks to parental relationships and interactions between Ian, Harper and Carter we learn that there's even more layers than previously expected. And even though this book is longer than the previous one, there's still not enough time to cut through them all. Or meet them all. The web like politics and family ties was at times a bit hard to follow, but once I caught on it became easier to see the bigger picture. While Harper and Carter handles the truth with maturity and grace, it brings up buried and forgotten trauma for Ian, when he learns where he came from and that he too is one of Harper's Royal Mates. Essentially this make him loose what little sense and confidence he had to begin with. As a solution to this, Carter decides that it would be the best for Ian to receive some training, with his former sensei, to unlock his alpha potential and thereby work on his self esteem. While Ian and Carter are away this also gives Harper more time to bond with the rest of the pack, as well as for them to learn to fight together. In short, it's time for Harper to stop hiding and learn to be the alpha female she is.

With Ian and Carter away, I was happy to get to know the other characters better. Up till now I have struggled distinguishing the non Royal Mates from each other. Sure their names were mentioned, but in my mind I couldn't tell them apart without a name, and that annoyed me. Not only does Harper get closer of each of her wolves, not only do I now have a much easier time knowing who's who - now this actually feels like a reverse harem. Not because Harper have sexy times with all her men, but because they all come together. There's no separation between Harper and the rest of the pack. They all love Harper equally, and they don't fight each other to spend time with her. And that is how I feel reverse harem's needs to be. There needs to be a certain group dynamic, where everyone understands that they're all part of it, even if they're not together all the time, otherwise it's more like individual relationships.

The only reason I'm not rating this book 5 hearts is because of the obvious difference between Harper's Royal Mates. Even the all powerful and all knowing Moon doesn't even class the others as mates, but only refers to them as lovers. The divide between Royal Mates and regular pack lovers is too much, and that does actually make her relationship with the rest of the pack secondary. As Ian, Harper and Carter all have alpha qualities, they're ranked above the rest. It's mentioned that their physical interactions are even more intense because of their Royal Marks. They knew each other as kids.... I mean, there's absolutely no real chance for the rest of them. And that kind of makes me think, that maybe they shouldn't be there. I feel like this story might have been better if it only focused on Harpers Royal Mates. On a non relationship note, I was happy to get a better understanding of Kira, the all powerful  2nd Gen alpha female. Especially as she's getting a spin off series of her own, which I cannot wait to read. The twin familiars Muffin & Milo also made for some entertaining moments in the book. I cannot help but love those little fur balls, and I definitely hope to see more of them in the next book.

And then there's that ending..... I could go on forever about that, but that would be spoiling. So instead I'll just say this; if you don't like cliffhangers, don't start this series till the next book is out. Because wow!

It was okay. Once again, when I read this author, I felt the dialogue was too filled with long speeches and that there were too many plot twists with no real rising action.

The "surprise" ending literally made me roll my eyes.

Taking a break for now from this series. But eventually I'll read the next book just to see how it ends, as long as the next book is really the last book.

2-2.5 stars. This series is quickly making me loose my interest. I feel like things are so drawn out now that to be honest I don't even know what our original goal was. And lets just get real here, how many freaking mates does this girl need? She barely has time for the ones she has.. these books aren't that long. I feel like adding yet another dude to the mix is just really pushing it. Its starting to boarder on the ridiculous line. The story just isn't progressing because girl out picking up mates like mad crazy.

Yea, sorry had to get that out first. Honestly, we finally get some answers, I myself felt they were vague and flimsy more along the excuse line but yea we get them. Families are reuniting. And all out time is divided between all these mates we have. That basically sums this one up. Honestly the adding of more mates wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't feel like the relationships that we currently have were a little more natural and not so forced. It already feels awkward. I don't see how adding someone else is going to ease that awkwardness. smh.

We do get thrown off a waterfall of a cliff.. literally here at the end. Cliffhanger doesn't do it justice lol. I'm not sure I want to keep going with this story anymore tho. Its taking forever to get anywhere.

Wow and to think I was complaining how slow and boring this book was. The end... well I feel like I got slapped and laughed at. The majority of this story was honestly meaningless. Very few of the multitude of scenes actually connected with the plot. Then again, what even was the plot of this story? Ian is suffering insecurities with his past, his Alpha side and learning he still has a mom. This took up so much of the story and even when Carter and Ian go to a knowledge Sensei, Harper can’t stop worrying about them. Harper herself gets trained by a older wiser wolf and we only got one scene of this “training.” After this I assumed maybe this would be about Harper connecting with her other mates, the mates who even now are more like tag-along’s or substitutes. Harper barely finds time for herself to spend with either Carter or Ian, her royal mates. The fact that she has four more mates is almost laughable. We got a few scenes intimate with them and I’m just not feeling the love between them all. At least not a romantic, together forever type romance or love. Suddenly the last 20% of the book we get a random plot twist which leads Harper and her men on a mission to rescue an Alpha wolfs wife who is likely being held and kidnapped by the new veil villain, Ian’s dad. Why oh why did this mess of a story have to get messier. Ian is reunited with dear old dad, which Harper and Carter warned him against. He didn’t listen of course and almost killed Harper and Muffin as a result. And Carter, well we’re left to believe one of her royal mates is deader then dead, a hole punched through his chest. And if that wasn’t bad enough Harper gets amnesia and is rescued by another royal mate, making her a harem of seven, or maybe six again if carters gone?!?! Ugh I’m just so pissed, this ending was a low blow after the drag and boredom the entire first half was. There’s no direction here, everything was so random and to leave so much up in the air is not cool. I’m also not too happy to realize this series isn’t complete as I suspected. The four books here are just a collection within a larger series, yet to be completed. I don’t know if I can make it through another. It sucks too because after three books I mildly like characters but most of all I just want to know if Carter is Alice or if there’ll be some crazy resurrection or maybe there won’t. I think I’ll just browse reviews to see if I can find the answer. The first book was great and I was really excited about this series but it feels like the author lost her way, somewhere along the way the plot and storyline just became a blur.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Just when I think this series cannot get any better Yumo writes another one proving me wrong. We really get deep into the story this time as the secrets start coming out as well as a few surprise guests. A well written world full of fantasy and intrigue that will keep you hooked from the very first page leading all the way to the cliff hanger ending. A total must read for fans of the genre. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Hesitant

I'm hesitant on my rating for this book. I didn't review books one or two, but decided to review this one because I'm a little frustrated with the way things are going. Don't get me wrong, I love the characters and the plot. The issue I'm having is that this is a reverse harem, yet, 4 of the 6 harem members are treated like extras in case Harper needs backup when the main 2 mates are unavailable.

This particular book gave us the perfect opportunity to get to know Damien, Levi, and the twins. I was excited see how Harper would get close to them. However, it was such a let down! At the beginning of the book she finds out Carter will be taking Ian for some training. Harper spends all her time, mostly with Carter (as usual), but with Ian a bit too. When Ian and Carter leave, Harper is left with the other 4 guys. But, the author fails to give us any build up of her relationship with any of them. She does training with everyone for 2 months. Then we're given a few scenes where she has sex with the guys, but are just told that over the 2 months they had reached that stage in their relationship. I was really irritated. For 2 and 1\2 books we have the development of her relationship with Ian and Carter. But, in book 3 the rest of the harem gets basically an honorable mention? No defining of how she reached the stage of having sex with each of them. Just a "we reached that stage in the 2 months training." Yes, we got one intimate scene with each, but absolutely nothing even close to the development between Harper, Ian, and Carter. I was so annoyed. They were basically treated like after thoughts! They deserved some time dedicated to their relationship with her. Instead they are treated like second class mates. They are support characters. Not mates. I really loved all of them too and how patient they were while she developed her relationship with Ian and especially Carter. But, the "Royal mates", Carter and Ian, get all the time and love. Harper claims to love the others, but its more like they are only important if the real guys she wants aren't around. They deserved better than that. This book had the perfect opportunity to show us Harper loved them as much as she loved her royal mates. But we didn't get that at all and it made me mad.

That ending, with another royal mate? Why bother pretending that Levi, Damien, or the twins will ever be treated as equals in the relationship? Maybe it's just me, but when I read a reverse harem I expect everyone to be treated equally and fairly. Harper talks about balancing them all, but in 3 books all I see is her adoring Carter first and foremost. Ian comes in second place. The rest of them are nothing but friends and protectors as long as Ian or Carter are around. It's not right.

I'll still read on because the plot is interesting. But, if you are looking for a balanced RH, this is not one...at least not so far.

The Quick and Dirty: Secrets concerning Ian and Carter are revealed. The bonds Harper has with the guys gets stronger (and hotter!). The threat against the pack has increased. There is an epic reappearance and an epic loss. And in true Yumoyori fashion, the ending is one big-ass, wicked cliffhanger.

Y'all are gonna need to do some deep cleansing breaths and some yoga after this one. I had to. It was one of those *want to chuck your phone across the room but maybe not because you'd have nothing else to read on* books. Someone dies. Someone very important dies. BUT! But, but, but. If you've read any of Yumoyori's other series there is a similar occurrence and in that series she finds a way to fix things and restore balance and order to the universe... I am truly hoping that's the case with this series as well because OMG if she doesn't I might never forgive her!! (j/k @yumoyoriauthor Love you girl! But still... you got this right? You can fix this?! Please?!?)

My single qualm is that I feel like the last two books we've been told a lot of the backstory as opposed to experiencing it. It makes it a little more confusing when the story gets complex. I'd love for it to be more of a flashback scenario like in the SLG series.

All in all, an excellent 3rd book to the series. I CANNOT wait to get my hands on the next one!

The truth about Harper and Ian's pasts, their parents have finally been revealed. Shocked Harper handles it with grace while the truth rocks Ian and brings up buried trauma. Carter decides that it would be in Ian's best interest and the best interest of the pack to take him to train with his former sensei. They will work at establishing Ian's self-esteem and unlocking his Alpha allowing Harper a chance to get closer to her other boyfriends and be trained herself. It's time for Harper to learn fighting skills, how to use her magic, and prove she can be the pack's female alpha.

I am conflicted about this series. In many ways, it's very good. Harper and her royal mates are fantastic. Pack politics and evil intentions make for a wonderful storyline. Harper and Ian's surfacing histories are compelling. Muffin and Milo are beyond adorable and Kira is a notable character herself. I do not care for any of the parental explanations. They aren't good enough, simple, but I can accept them as a literary device. My conflict comes from the pack. Let me be clear, I love each of the guys; I'm just not sure I like them as an RH. I think this may have worked better with just royal mates. There seems to be too much of a separation between royal mates and regular pack boyfriends; power levels, emotional intimacy, shared history, shared duties. And even with them getting a spotlight in this book, they still didn't measure up. My opinion only.

That said, this was an entertaining and frustrating book. I would have liked to see Harper get stronger and Ian lose more of his insecurities. Carter plays his role so much better. I don't see how Harper takes over when Kira is so much stronger and I don't really understand how Kira reached her level given what she is. Seems like a conflict. I look forward to her story. And then there's that ending! Wow, there's so much to say about it but I can't. I really need the next book because...

I enjoy this series.
I just wish it was a page turner.
the most action happened at the last 15%
I still love Harper and her guys, and the relationship between Carter and Ian.
I liked how Harper got to meet her mom and Carter/Ian their parents.

While i love this series i hope she doesnt try to prologue this series for toooooo many books.

What an ending!

With an ending like that I need to get my hands on the next one quick fast. I was beginning to loose interest but I started to get it back around the 65% mark.

I love shifter stories and the storyline of this book intrigues me to no end but sometimes I felt that there was a bit information overload and skip a few bits. I also love how insatiable Harper is but she does flit between coy and confident and it kinda frustrates me sometimes. Ian, don’t get me started! So needy I get it and understand but the whole reason for Alpha training was to think like one and the first chance he gets he disobeys and causes a domino effect we’re in now. Kira is cool and she’ll be getting her own spin off series to get her back story but again there’s just something underdeveloped there that doesn’t allow me to warm up to her. Maybe I should have waited to read the series in a different order but never mind.

Yumo does it again! This series just keeps getting better and better with all the feels. Holy Geez, I can't even with this right now. The twists thrown throughout this book are epically heart breaking at the end. I would suggest a box of tissues and maybe something to drink or maybe some meditation techniques or something because Dang lol. A lot of questions are answered, a few new character introductions that are intriguing to say the least. I love these characters and this series. The story line is heart breakingly beautiful and creatively written. I love how Harper's relationships with the rest of the pack got to develop more in this one. I mean dang there are quite a few scenes that are fricking HOT! I can not wait to see where Harper and the pack's journey is going to go from here especially after that ending. That ending Carter and Harper and just I cried like ugly cried people and then all of a sudden its like ooohhh who do we have here and what is going to happen next and then there were no more pages until book 4 ahhhhh it hurts so good!!

This series just kept blowing my mind. The author always surprises me. Just when I thought that there x could be no more surprises, I was dead wrong. So, we learn about the past of Ian in this book and the things he went through during his childhood. It really made teary-eyed especially when we read the point of view of Amelia and Ian. I’m glad that Carter was able to get there in time and always supporting his pack. There’s a new character which was mentioned due to that character involving her dad and I had an epiphany which I was correct when I got to the ending. As (something I did not) expect, another twist has been revealed and ending on a cliffhanger.

I can’t wait for the next book and it would be the last one for the series.

The author had started loosing me by the time I started this book, and the cliffhanger ending killed this series for me.

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

I love the Claiming my Pack Series and Wolf Lover is the best installation yet! You will feel all the feels as the group grows closer and stronger. Harper and her men grow up A LOT in this book and they are becoming quite a force to be reckoned with. There are such intensely sweet moments surrounded by thrilling action and mystery in this fast paced, longer story that begs you not to put it down. Every page reveals new, interesting, and important information. It ends on a mindblowing cliffhanger, so be ready to want to throw your kindle, but April isn't too far away, right? If you love wolf shifters, or just plain great storytelling, Wolf Lover is a must read!

Just when you think Harper and the guys have endured the worst....something else happens!! This book is my favorite in the series by far!!! Just be warned, there is the BIGGEST CLIFFHANGER YET at the end! We meet oodles of pivotal people in this one, and learn quite a few secrets about our beloved group. Suffice to say there's LOTS of action, learning, drop your mouth to the floor reveals, and more. One sneak peak is we meet Muffins twin brother!!! I'm already in love with the little sneak 💗. Only downside???? I already must know what happens next!!!! Once again Yumoyori has outdone herself!!!!! Three cheers for our fierce, big hearted, just plain awesome Harper!!

Great book!

I absolutely love this series. Harper the MC and her guys are amazing. Harper and Ian finally find out who their parents are in a shocking way and finally get to meet them. Ian is having a hard time learning who he is a recovering his memories. So much so he spirals into a deep depression. Harper finally gets to be reunited with her mom. All the guys and Harper dive into their training to stop whoever is behind the kidnapping and murders of female wolves. It’s a shocking experience to find out who is behind it and why. Cannot wait to read book 4 after that dramatic ending.

Cliffhanger alert!

In Wolf Lover, Harper gets magical and physical training to be able to defend herself.
Ian's past is revealed and brings up more insecurities. Carter decides to take him to his former trainer. While they are away from the rest of the pack, Harper connects to Damien, Hayden, Heston and Levi. It's nice to get to know them a little better.

And then everything goes to sh€@... Really?! That cliffhanger got me good. I don't know what to expect anymore. Who? What? Why? I'm pretty bummed out. Well played Yumoyori Wilson, well played... 😂

Another amazing book in this series!

What can you say after that cliffhanger?! After an intense reading, with so much growing by the MCs and a rollecoaster of emotions with one chapter after another catching my breath, I can say that this was my favorite of the three.
That ending left me remembering were this adventure starts, only now she isn’t a child anymore. I hope with every fiber of my broken heart that by a miracle, Carter won’t meet his creator just yet, I am choosing to believe this, if only for the fact that I didn’t see any closure yet, so fingers crossed.

I absolutely love how this story has progressed. Harper's story sucked me in from the very beginning, and this latest installment is my favorite so far.
Although I love Ian and Carter, I really enjoyed the opportunity to get to know the other men in the harem better. I love her deepening relationships with each of them, and I look forward to seeing more from them.
Although this is a longer book, it is well worth the ride, and it doesn't feel drawn-out, nor is it hard to remain engaged. The time flew by, and I could not put this story down.

No spoilers of any kind except this and that is there is a wicked cliffhanger at the end of this story.
But that’s nothing unusual when it comes to this author, she’s really good at creating those heart stopping cliffhangers. Lol
But all in all I absolutely loved Wolf Lover and I’m patiently impatiently waiting for Wolf Keeper that’s suppose to come in April.
This series is awesome so I most definitely recommend it but if you haven’t read the books before this one then I highly suggest that you do read them so that you’ll know what’s happening and who’s who.

Wow

Avery! You did it again! I am wowed over this 3rd book. I felt things flowed naturally, when time slowed down so we would know what’s going on with training and when it sped up and skipped weeks didn’t feel like we were missing anything. I love this story and I can’t wait to find out more about her amnesia and new royal mate. I’m assuming her amnesia won’t last long since she’s in the east pack lands although it’s confusing how she ends up from one pack lands to another without any real description on how it came to be. Off to read the next one!

Oh My Godess, that did NOT just happen. Did it??? Yumo, how could you!?!? This was another absolutely amazing read. I love these characters (I licked Carter so he is mine), and all the crap they go through is intense. They all keep getting separated, then just when everything is happy something goes horribly wrong. They need a vacation. Yumo made me cry so freakin hard at the end and then threw a HUGE twist in there for good measure. I will be VERY impatiently waiting for the next book!

As I WIPE THE TEARS!

Yumoyori is one of my favorite author. I waited in anticipation and cannot stop crying. WHY? That is the first question you will be asking yourself after reading. Next with be OH HELL NO! Which is where my mind is currently at with book 3 in the Claiming My Pack Series. I hope book 4 can fix the questions you will all be asking after reading this installment.be warned cannot be read alone and is a mental mess of a cliffhanger. Loved this book.

One of my favorite series!!

This continues to be one of my favorite series! In book 3, we really get to see Harper’s relationships with the boys grow (I’ll never be able to go into a changing room without remembering this book) and we get to know Kira better as well...she’s definitely a favorite of mine, really hoping we get more of her story! The cliffhanger was BRUTAL!! Seriously heartbreaking...hoping it’s not as it seems!! Need book 4 immediately!!

Did that just happen??? NOOOOO....you cannot do this to me!!! And OMG...Cliffhanger alert!!! I cannot wrap my brain around this yet. Once again, you dazzle me with your amazing writing skills and I LOVE the book. I don't love the ending but I must know what happens....like RIGHT NOW!!!! If you haven't read this series, I suggest you go start it now so that you are ready and waiting (with me) for the next one to come out!

Seriously

I just. I dont have words here. This book shows so much more knowledge, growth, training and even people. But holy cow. The emotional roller coaster at the end?! Really? That's killing me man. I absolutely loved seeing Harper grow in her relationship with Damien, Levi and the twins. Ian and Carter have things of their own to learn and cope with. But that ending man. Kleenex.
