To Cassie King the small town of Playa del sol used to be an ironically named summer vacations spot for her family. But when she gets terrible news that takes her back her uncle’s home there she finds that the town isn’t as innocent as her childhood memories would have her believe. Strange things start to happen in the old house and soon enough Cassie is forced to deal with some hard truths.
This is a great haunted house in a series, this is book 7. I have read them all and they are fantastic. This is one of the best that I have read, though they are all awesome. I loved the characters and the story kept me engaged and intrigued so that I did not want to put it down. I highly recommend this series and especially this book.

Really a thriller—the titular haunting is important, but not frightening or the focus. The Kindle edition I read needed tighter editing; a couple of places repeated events with slight paraphrasing, as if they had been stitched together wrongly.
