Alien Mischief is book four in the Alien Mate series by Cara Bristol. I have been loving this series. It’s fun and sexy and just so enjoyable. It’s only fitting that the series end with Enoki, the leader of all of the Dakon tribes. You can either purchase this book by itself or as a box set of all four books in the series.
Enoki was sure that with this next space ship full of women coming to Dakon to meet their mates, that one of them was destined for him. But he didn’t draw a chit which would have allowed him to choose one of the women. Still, the fates kept whispering to him, She’s coming! Then, when the ship arrived, he watched the women get chosen one by one until they were all happily paired of. Even still, the fates whispered, She’s Here! Enoki believed in the fates. But maybe this time they were wrong. At least he got to spend a little time with Madison, the man that helped to shuttle the women from earth. They had formed a sort of friendship over the course of the times women had arrived. He always looked forward to seeing him.
Madison Altman was a woman masquerading as a man. She lost her fiancé three years ago and this was the perfect job to keep her from having to deal with the reality of life. But they would never have hired her as a woman. But with this last arrival, the ship mistakenly left without her. She was stranded on Dakon. In the middle of a blizzard. Lucky for her, Enoki was there to save her.
Enoki is convinced he must be going crazy with the constant whispering in his head. Somehow, though, when he was with Madison, the voice quieted. Why did he feel such a pull towards Madison?
Madison doesn’t want to stay on this freezing planet. But the bond she feels with Enoki strengthens. Still, she plans to leave when the ship comes back. And she plans to keep her true identity a secret.
“The joining of two cultures, two planets, two species had crested community, family, hope.”
All of the pairs of earth women and Dakonian men were thriving. Women were having babies. They were happy. Is it possible for Enoki and Madison to find their happiness as well? Or were the fates truly wrong?
This was the perfect ending to this series. You couldn’t help but to feel for Enoki when he watched all of the women pair off and no one was left for him. And for Madison as well with all she had been through.
This is the end of this series but you can continue the matings of Dakonian alien men to earth women in a new series, Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides. In the first book, Darak, he travels to earth. I can’t wait to see what trouble ensues.

Alien Mischief is book four in the Alien Mate series by Cara Bristol and this title ends the series. We finally get Enoki, the leader of all the Dakon tribes story.
This was another fun, sexy, and enjoyable read. I’m happy that we end with Enoki. I’ve been waiting for his story.
The Alien Mates series is best read in order, but the author does give enough background that you can pick this one up and go.
This one is a little different then previous books. Madison didn’t volunteer to become a mate to a Dakon. She’s working for the exchange program as a chaperon for the women in the mate program. She only signed up to the program to prove something; especially to her brother about sexism. In the end she applies as a women and as a man. You can guess which applicant got hired. Now, for three years she’s been pretending to be a man and escorting mates-to-be to Dakon. She has no plans to become a mate, but fate has other ideas.
Enoki is the leader of all the tribes on Dakon. He spends a lot of time being the peacemaker to all the different tribes. He’s fair and doesn’t use his position to get in on the mate process. This time thou the winds have been whispering to him that his mate is coming. Yet, all the women that came went with the partners they where meant too, so what is Enoki to do?
The circumstances in this one where a lot of fun. We get a lot of funny moments; especially when Madison in trying to keep Enoki in the dark. I felt the story was a bit deeper and more tender then others in the series. Maddison is a bit judge at first, but that’s because she’s lying to herself. Her BBF was great and did what any BBF would due in calling her out on her bull shit. I loved how Enoki fought for them both.
We are treated to humor, spice, and a heartwarming romance that left me satisfied. I devoured this book in one day. If you enjoy fated mates, science fiction and romance then this series is for you. It’s a lot of fun and doesn’t just jump to the fated mate. It gives the couples time to grow.

Madison tried getting the job as herself but she didn't even get an interview. So she applied as a male and got the job ferrying Earth females to Dakon in the exchange program. Earth got the ore they wanted and Dakon got the females they needed.
Enoki is the leader of Dakon and as he watches time after time as his males get picked to get a mate, he is lonely and wants nothing more than to be picked for a mate in the lottery. He actually thought for sure that he would win the lottery this time but he didn't so he didn't get to pick a female.
An asteroid had hit Dakon many years before and destroyed so much. Along with the destruction came a virus that prevented the population from having female babies. With so many men and so few females, Dakon made a treaty with Earth that in exchange for the ore from Dakon, Earth would send willing females to mate with the males. The males were so happy to have mates that thy did everything in their power to make sure they were happy there. It's a win win situation, except for the bitter cold that Dakon has there almost all the time.
Madison cut her hair, binds her chest and dresses like a man so no one suspected she wasn't exactly who she said she was. She was the chaperone of sorts for the women on the ship headed to Dakon but she never wanted to be picked by one of the males, it wasn't her ideal love situation. She found the whole thing a little barbaric. So when the ship leaves to Earth without her and she's stranded on Dakon until the ship can come back and get her, she's glad that Enoki finds her in the snow storm or she might have died. She and Enoki spend a few days together but then someone in the tribe finds out she's a female and tells her to tell Enoki the truth or he will. So she really has no other choice. Of course he's a little mad but as the pieces fall together he's more mad that he didn't notice what was right in front of his face.
I have been reading this series from the beginning and am loving all of these couples. The guys are, big, hot and sexy and will do whatever they have to in order to keep their mates happy. I love the extra's that the females are bringing to their society and helping them get more from the treaty than they thought they could get. It's so much fun to watch these people interacting together and getting along. This is such a fun series so far and I'll definitely be reading the next book.

This is not her first trip to Dakon, but she doesn’t spend much time there. She makes sure the women make it okay and then she leaves. She doesn’t even stay around for the mating ceremony. But she stays to watch this time, because a friend of hers is one of the soon to be mates. That is until the ship leaves without her.
Enoki is not only the leader of a tribe, but a leader of the tribe leaders. He’s the main guy on Dakon. He spends a lot of time trying to play peacemaker to all the different tribes and the people in those tribes happy. He also plays fair. As much as he would like to have a mate, he doesn’t use his position to get himself at the front of the line for one of the mates. Though he knows this time is different. The fates are telling him his mate is coming and that she’s there, but he doesn’t know how. All the women were given to the men they were supposed to partner with.
This is a fun series. It follows Earth women who go to Dakon to find men looking for mates. Dakon was struck by an asteroid which not only turned it into a frozen planet, but they have few women now thanks to a virus and a low female birth rate. Earth has a surplus of women, so women are willing to travel millions of miles to another planet for the chance at happy long-term relationship.
If you like fated mates, science fiction and romance, this is series you’ll enjoy. I’ve really enjoyed all the books in this series.

I think out of this series this one is my favorite, so far. I loved Madison! She had some serious reservations about the woman who willingly “sell” themselves as brides to the Darkonian males. She thinks one woman is as good as the next to these men she doesn’t understand that the men feel a pull to the one that is meant for them. I loved her realness and her skepticism.
Enoki who has been with us since the beginning of the series FINALLY gets his HEA. I loved that for him. As soon as I thought I knew which direction the story was going to take Bristol would surprise me and go a completely different direction. I loved it.
Alien Mischief was so much fun to read, and I absolutely love this series and these aliens. I have asked it once, but I will ask it again, where is mine?

Sometimes you encounter a character early on in a series and wistfully hope that they get their turn at a happily after some day because they are a kind person who puts other's first and are deserving. I felt that way about Enoki a little each time he was right there helping the others sort out their romance troubles. I was thrilled when I realized that this was his story and oh my what an interesting twists he gets for his own story.
Alien Mischief is book four in the Alien Mate series. It works best when read in order of the series because it takes for granted that the reader is familiar with the earlier stories and builds on them particularly the sense of Enoki watching others getting their chances before him and trying to be patient for his own mate. That said, the author does give enough background that a new reader could start here if they wished.
Madison works for the alien mail order bride service and has been shuttling starry-eyed hopeful earth women to Dakon for a while now. She cynical about their desire to be an alien bride and find love and happiness sight unseen and she treats them to her sneers and impatience making herself unpopular. Or rather, himself. Madison dresses up as a man and enjoys railing about gender inequality and pulling one over on the company to one-up her twin brother. This trip things are different. Her best friend is putting herself out there as an alien bride and she has some tough love truths to level at Madison as they say their goodbyes. Stop hiding behind her disguise and wall of cynicism and don't be a coward about loving again. Madison tries to reject these home truths about herself, but getting marooned on Dakon with her alien buddy, Enoki, who thinks she's a guy and graciously takes her in, shows her just how judgmental she was about how serious others take the needed bride service. He shows her something else, too, if she has the courage to accept it.
I've enjoyed these light-hearted sci-fi alien romances since the beginning and enjoyed the fun conflicts each alien male/human female pairing brings out. But, Alien Mischief was something different- something more. I thought it reached further down and is the best in the series to me as a result.
It had the funny moments especially when Madison is trying to keep Enoki in the dark about her being a female, but it was deeper and tenderer than the others. Enoki is a genuine, giving guy and he earnestly wants what is best for his people, but he yearns for his own turn to find love and start a family. He lays himself out there for Madison and is confused when the voice of fate keeps telling him that his fated mate is close by when all he sees is his good friend.
At first, I didn't like Madison because of how much I loved Enoki. The reader knows that he's drawn to her and here she sits in sneering judgment of the other women and lying to him. Of course, her sneer and her judgment is all a big huge act of denial and she's lying to herself even more than Enoki. Her bestie was fantastic and calls her on her crap like a BBF should. I loved the way Enoki fought for them both when Madison was struggling.
Enoki describes the world of Dakon in the past and the present, but also what he sees for its future. He was a great leader and I enjoyed how the author drew this aspect out even while developing the main romance element.
In the end, it had humor, spice, and a heartwarming alien romance that left me utterly satisfied. This is a fun series and engaging for light sci-fi romance lovers with a pleasant surprise in this one that I can easily recommend.

SHE’S HERE! SHE’S HERE!
Once again, Cara Bristol has spun an amazing Sci-fi tale. Two planets, each needing something, and working out an exchange program. One is trusting, and the other is devious in how they handle their part of the exchange. Earth or Terra needs the illuvian ore to power things on earth, and Dakon needs females to help populate their planet after an asteroid centuries ago wiped out so many of their people. Along with it came a virus that killed out females, leaving them with only a few, and even fewer children being born. The story will grab you from the beginning to the end and keeps you guessing as unexpected details emerge.

What happens when Madison Altman pretends to be a male to help transport mail-order brides to Dakon and this time gets left behind? Rescued during a blizzard by Enoki, head of the Council of Dakon, it will be a challenge to keep her secret. Why are the Fates telling Enoki his fated mate is here? All the women were claimed? Will the secret remain and Madison return to Earth, or will the truth be revealed and challenged? Will Enoki become angry and believe Madison is playing him for a fool? Along with it came a virus that killed out females, leaving them with only a few, and even fewer children being born. The story will grab you from the beginning to the end and keeps you guessing as unexpected details emerge.

Madison Altman is disguised as a man. This is not for nefarious purposes, but it makes it easier to do her job. Chaperoning women traveling to Dakon to become the mail-order brides of aliens is what she does now to pay the bills. But this time her best friend Garnet signed up for the program and is coming with her on the transport to Dakon! She tried to tell Garnet that Dakon was a primitive, frozen wasteland, an asteroid hit having brought on their current ice age! It was beyond cold!
When they arrived, Madison gathered the ladies together to exit the ship. A huge storm was approaching and they had only a small window of opportunity to launch or they would be stuck there. Madison stayed until Garnet’s mate chose her. Then she said goodbye to Garnet and Enoki -- head of the Council of Dakon, the planet’s ruling body, and director of the mate selection process -- and walked toward the ship in blizzard conditions. As she approached, the ship rose from the surface! She had been left behind! They would not return for 7 months! I think this book was the best one of the series! Or maybe it’s just my own crazy sense of humor! The story line was adorable and funny, the characters amazing! The reader will love this humorous discovery of a mate when none seems possible. And if this works and they do find love, Enoki will have an additional gift that Dakonians rarely find – love AND a strong, lasting friendship.

This is book 4 in the Alien Mate series and I would absolutely read the previous books before you read this one although it could be read as a stand alone, it would make more sense as to what is going on and characters mentioned if you read the other ones first. This one is about Enoki, leader of the council on Dakon and Madison who works for the mail order bride service on Earth. Madison is the chaperone (and a female disguised as a man) on the ship going to and from Earth to help the ladies know what to expect and to try to keep them in line. On this trip she stays slightly longer on the planet to make sure her friend is happy and fine with her choice to go to Dakon. But when she goes to get back on the ship to go back to Earth, she finds the ship has left without her! And when she tries to make it back to the meeting place, she runs into trouble. Enoki thought for sure this time that he would get his mate. The fates have been whispering to him that she was coming but when he doesn't get a chit, he thinks the fates were wrong and that he has missed his chance for his fated mate. After rescuing Madison and taking him (her) to my village until a ship can come to get him (LOL), the voices have been shouting that she is here and now he doesn't know what to think. What will happen when Enoki realizes she is a woman? And will their friendship be enough for him to forgive the deception?
I absolutely loved this one! Madison went through something completely heart breaking and is now hiding from even the chance of love and it happening again. At the expense of maybe losing what could be the greatest thing to happen to her. Enoki has always been someone I was curious about in the other books. He always seems so wise and steady but lonely and he definitely deserves to have a mate and children. And when he finds out about Madison, he goes about getting his mate the best way imaginable! Even when something else happens and he thinks the worst, he still listens to his heart and goes to make sure! I loved him! He was perfect for her and with her, especially knowing her heartbreak from before. And that epilogue? It was perfect! Absolutely perfect! Now I just hope we get more stories because I absolutely love this series of books!!

We met Madison in passing in earlier books and it turns out he isn't a he, but a woman pretending to be a man. You know, to prove a point to her brother. Which, honestly, works out well for her in the end, but what a burden to take on. By that, I mean, she can't be herself at any time while she's chaperoning the women to their new planet. That just does not sound fun to me.
To be fair, it's wearing on Madison, too. Despite the great pay, she's ready to start looking for something new. Being left behind on Dakon is pretty much a blessing in disguise. Not only does she get to spend time with the one male she is drawn to, but she also finds her place with the Dakonians and the women who've joined them on their planet.

Once again Cara Bristol has made me wish this alien world actually existed! Each book is so unique in creating different personalities of each alien man and human woman, and I never feel like an idea is repeated or overdone. This series is a companion to her newest series, which takes place on Earth, and I have to say that my heart still lies with this original group of books. Not sure what it is, but if I had to tell you where to start with the Dakon alien men, this series would definitely be it.
Madison Altman is in a bind of her own making. Disguised as a man in order to obtain the job of chaperone to the women brought to Dakon through the exchange program, she has convinced everyone around her, including the hunky alien Enoki, that she is not an eligible woman. But when she is stranded on Dakon after the ship leaves her behind, she is forced to bunk with Enoki, and sparks fly on her end as she tries to keep her libido from revealing her true identity. Enoki is confused by the whispers he keeps hearing that convince him his mate is nearby. The only human nearby is Madison, and just when Enoki is giving up on ever finding a mate, he is in for a big surprise.
Madison was a woman I could definitely support and understand, which made her predicament so emotionally wrenching for me. Having lost her fiance right before their wedding, her heart is wounded, and her only escape is as a man where her heart isn't at risk of more trauma. She is definitely into Enoki, but she is convinced that she would only hurt him in the end. Enoki was another character that I felt a definite connection to as well, simply because of his caring, generous nature towards everyone he came in contact with. He puts others before himself almost every time, and although he desperately wants a mate, he refuses to use his leadership status to force his way into the lottery. I respected him as a character greatly, and I felt Madison was an awesome partner for him. They complimented each other well.
I am eager to see what comes next! Hopefully more stories on Dakon are coming soon.

Another fantastic Sci-Fi Rom-Com by Ms Cara Bristol! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of the books in the “Alien Mate” Series. This novel is a great addition! Although a reader will enjoy this as a stand-alone (we really don’t see many of the characters from the first 3 novels), a reader will better appreciate it after reading the whole series.
What an interesting twist we get to experience in this story! I can remember not liking Madison in the first novels and wondering if Enoki would get a chance in the Earther Female Lottery. This novel had me laughing out loud, holding my breath, and rooting for that elusive HEA. All I’ll say is “PHEW”!! What a great skimmer ride. I look forward to more in this series. I’m sure there are more Dakonian Men stepping forward in Ms Bristol’s subconscious telling her it’s time for their story to be told. *wink*wink*nudge*nudge!!

You really need to listen to the voices in your head. Madison is hiding and Enoki keeps hearing that his mate is near. When Enoki rescues Madison he thinks that Madison is male but guess what? He is a she. That leads to many many misunderstandings. Both almost miss out. This is a cute story with two great characters who finally get it together and have their HEA. I am enjoying this series and meeting the women and aliens who are finding their mates.

That sexism had not been conquered. The pay didn’t hurt either. Enoki, Head of the Council of Dakon, swore his fated mate was here but he knew that was not possible. He did not draw a chit and was not part of the lottery but he kept hearing the whispers.
You have to understand what Madison is seeing. She only sees one side of the coin. Once she gets stuck on Dakon, she learns a whole new life. She didn’t realize that it wasn’t a selling but more of a need and want from the Dakonian’s. I was glad that Ardu found out and pushed her. Why not tell Enoki. At least he would not feel like a fool but things don’t turn out the way she hoped. Enoki was understandably in a pickle. These are two very lonely people that need to understand the other. Very gendered. Misunderstood difference between gender and sex. Compulsive heteronormativity (when the premise is RIPE for non-monosexuality). Author’s grasp of feminism is shallow. Hypocritical female (or is it woman? /eyeroll) MC who slams her head into BuT i’M nOt LiKe OtHeR gIrLs and, I guess, ironically is? The irony is mostly unaddressed by the author.

This author has written a splendid, highly entertaining alien romance that captures a reader’s attention & keeps it until the last page has been turned. The story-line & plot is well-thought out & written. The characters are well-developed with distinctive personalities & react with varying emotions and /or emotional turmoil to the situations they find themselves in.

Alien Mate completes the four-volume series which on a whole was very good but by far it was the one I enjoyed the most. Ending a series can be sad but joy oh joy the Dakonian men travel to Earth in Alien Mail Order Brides Series.

A great addition to the Alien Mates series, Madison and Enoki's story if full of misunderstanding, misdirection and missed communications. I thought that both characters were in denial of what they really felt, but Enoki's was understandable at least, since Madison was a dude and all. It's a well written story with lots of emotional growth and inner feelings being resolved. I enjoyed reading this one because it was emotionally deep and still fun to go through.

I liked how the hero and the heroine had this intense tension. Enoki thinks the fates are toying with him because as far as he can see, his mate is not there. Madison has been dressing up as a man and, as such, cannot act on her attraction. What happens next is humorous at times and awkward at times. However, every works out in the end.
Knowing that the author likes to put twist in the story, I was not prepared for a couple of the plot twist. So the story had me saying “Oh no!!” I trusted Cara would give me a HEA but I wasn’t sure how it would happen.

She may have perfected her supercilious, lip curling, male alter ego a bit too well though. Cos the females on board truly can't abide "him", she let her opinions on their choice to travel and marry men they'd never met just a bit too well known.
But when she injures herself and is left stranded on Dakon, she will have to either come clean to her friend Enoki before his healer friend does it for her or declare herself a female and allow herself to be put into a lottery for the unmated males in Enoki's tribe.
I really enjoyed Madison and Enoki's friendship which turns to more. Madison is a bit full on competitive with her brother though. I get using the money to pay off bills etc, but how can she just deride others decisions to become brides, for whatever reason. I really did find her a tad judgemental, after all, she likes Enoki so why hate the very females who could be his HEA?
Poor Enoki fears for his mental health when the winds keep telling him his mate is near, he just doesn't see through Madison's disguise. But when he realises who she is to him, his HEA may just get scuppered by Madison herself. With the able assistance of Huey, Dewey and Louis - my names for his odious tribesmen!

This is a very well written and enjoyable story. The relationship between Madison and Enoki is endearing and lovely. They are a couple who deserve their happy ending. Both of them are lonley. There are some hot spicy sexy scenes and lots of fun. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it. A great series that can easily be read as a standalone. Another winner from a great author.

This book is about Madison, she's been impersonating a man to prove a point. She's the chaperone for the women who are going to Dakon to be mail order brides to the Dakonian males. Unfortunately when she gets left behind she might not be able to keep up her ruse for long.
This book was such a fun read! I had no idea that Madison was a woman! Never would have guessed that in a million years. I loved Enoki he's such a sweetheart but it was just so funny that he couldn't figure out that Madison was a woman even though the fates kept telling him. The relationship between them was so sweet and I just loved all the hijinks in this book. Another great read.

I finished the book and I am glad that I did. Overall, the plot was good. I liked that MCs became friends prior to becoming intimate, and that they started opening up to each other before anything came to light (being fated mates).
I did NOT like how chauvinist she acted while saying this is how all men act, so she needed to act this way to keep up her charade. Seriously?? If she was trying to prove the point of men getting differential treatment, she nailed it. However, she didn't try to change anything while being in that position. She just rode it for the benefits and said she should stop the charade and settle down. For such strong views that made her dress and act as a male FOR TWO YEARS she sure decided to drop it quick and not try to do anything about it after this last shipment of mail-order-brides.
I liked that Madison had a close relationship with Garnet, but I didn't like that she could voice her opinions (and my lord did she have many!!) but if someone disputed her opinion there would be hell to pay. She also had no other friends aside from Enoki and Garnet. Not one... She may be a very independent, stubborn MC, but she wasn't very likeable in the friends department.
The last thing I despised was how quickly Madison's firm resolution of leaving the planet she hates and could NEVER see her self living on (which she thinks quite often) to switching to wanting to stay after having sex, because, that's the logical choice. Yeah...
I felt this story was very good, but had the potential to be great. It could have been fleshed out a little and Madison could have been a bit more understanding with the mail-order-brides. It's hard to grasp that she can spend three months with these women and not change her views, but three days with a hot guy, throw in some sex, and she's there to stay. I don't know. I think it could have finished off better. But to be honest, I did still like the story. It just wasn't a 5 star for me.

If she was trying to prove the point of men getting differential treatment, she nailed it. However, she didn't try to change anything while being in that position. She just rode it for the benefits and said she should stop the charade and settle down. For such strong views that made her dress and act as a male FOR TWO YEARS she sure decided to drop it quick and not try to do anything about it after this last shipment of mail-order-brides.
I liked that Madison had a close relationship with Garnet, but I didn't like that she could voice her opinions (and my lord did she have many!!) but if someone disputed her opinion there would be hell to pay. She also had no other friends aside from Enoki and Garnet. Not one... She may be a very independent, stubborn MC, but she wasn't very likeable in the friends department.
The last thing I despised was how quickly Madison's firm resolution of leaving the planet she hates and could NEVER see her self living on (which she thinks quite often) to switching to wanting to stay after having sex, because, that's the logical choice. Yeah...
I felt this story was very good, but had the potential to be great. It could have been fleshed out a little and Madison could have been a bit more understanding with the mail-order-brides. It's hard to grasp that she can spend three months with these women and not change her views, but three days with a hot guy, throw in some sex, and she's there to stay. I don't know. I think it could have finished off better. But to be honest, I did still like the story. It just wasn't a 5 star for me.

I read all four books of the series in a frenzy in less than 24-hour binge. I devoured each book and lept into the next. Some books you enjoy at the time and then plots and characters fade over time. I guarantee Dakon books will far more memorable.
Mischief winds up Bristol’s four-part series brides voyaging to the planet Dakon to find the mates that Terra (Earth) so rarely provides. Books #2-3 can work as standalone reads. However, with Mischief much would be lost without reading the previous books of the series. It gives the reader the unlikely pairing of Enoki and Madison Altman. There are many interesting twists that give Bristol fans yet another gem of a book.
With books #2-3 it was quite easy to predict who out of the supporting characters the follow-up books would feature. Madison Altman, the rude Terran escort who accompanies the brides to Dakon was a complete surprise to be in the final book. Madison pulls off the shocker off the series when it turns out she is really a woman who has contrived for over two years with her manly role. The book manages to illustrate that even in the fantasy future women still find it difficult to find jobs on par financially with men.
Enoki and Madison are an unlikely pairing. As leader of the Dakon council, Enoki is one of the most powerful on the planet. Madison isn’t the usual woman eagerly anticipating her alien better half. Ironically Madison counts the days to escape Dakon back to Terra. With trademark highs and lows, it’s a fitting end to the series. I can hardly wait to read the next Dakon series which has our favorite horned aliens making the journey through space this time to Terra to find there mates.

In this boom Enoki, the head honcho of the Dakonian council , and the male, who oversees the selection of the lottery as well as the welcoming of the females from Earth , gets his HEA.
As ," chief " , he gets to see his village grow, and longs for the companionship that he sees his fellow comrades enjoy.
He is saddened by not drawing a chit, especially since he was So sure, that the Fates have been telling him that his female is near......
Madison , the coordinator of the Dakonian mail order brides , has been keeping a HUGE secret !!

All this time he is actually a SHE........🤔🤔🤔
And on this particular day , she finds herself at the mercy of one Dakonian in particular......
Enoki , basically finds a half frozen Madison, after her ship leaves without her.

This book was a very fun read , especially as Enoki is confused and Madison is not trying to help him figure it out 😃😃😃
I enjoyed the way the characters relate to each other, and we also see some familiar faces, and going along thus journey is a real treat !! Love this World , and am looking forward to the next one !!!

Entertaining read, totally captivating…
Females have always been a priority for a Dakon’s who are trying to repopulate their home planet, after the virus had come along and had destructively killed most of their females of both childbearing age and younger. Over years the Dakon have discovered that earth females are well matched as potential mothers to their children, in return earth “Terra” need Illuvian to generate power for earth machinery and this is how they manage the swaps transactions.
Madison Altman had been hiding her identity by concealing herself as a male on the very ships used to transport the mail-order brides to Dakon however, unfortunately she manages to be left behind and nearly dies. Rescued by Enoki who is the head of the Dakon Council and who would have guessed this strange man, that he discovered was a woman was in fact his “Mate” which left him somewhat perplexed.
The story was enjoyable from the very beginning to the end, once starting reading this wonderful book it was not easy to put it down and although it will tear at you hear at time, it is also filled with mirth, adventure and amazing characters and wonderful settings.

I read this as a stand-alone and was not following the series. It was a good read, I didn’t see too many obvious TSTL moments for either H or h, dialogue went well.
From the cover blurb, you know the heroine has been impersonating a male for over 2 years in her job escorting women brides to the planet Dakon. The land of 7 foot male giants with horns. She did this to prove a point that the recruitment was biased and sexist - she submitted an application as a woman and don’t get called for an interview - and it was explained she continued to work with her sexist employer because the pay helped her to get debt-free. Do I get the practicalities - it just nullified the principle of standing against sexism the author brought up to justify the h’s action. Plus her fiancé died before their wedding and so she took up this job to hide herself. For over 2 years. Beats me how she got away with it in a time when space travel is supposed to be like a bus commute. This early part of the book ... I didn’t quite get. But ok let’s broadbrush it and move on.
If you are looking for a light alien romance, and ready to suspend disbelief, try this. It was a good and quick read but doubt I’ll return for a second dose. I likes bit more substance and character building for repeat reads.
