The Hulk and Wolverine are tricked into going after Weapon H. The Leader and Hulkverine's creator Dr. Alba return as the bad guys. At three issues, it's a little shorter than it should have been. Marvel threw in Hulkverine's first appearance as an excuse to charge you more money, even though that first appearance came just a year ago and was already collected.

This was just dumb...

This takes place during the second volume of Immortal Hulk. Sadly it doesn't tie much into the overall storyline of Immortal Hulk. But oh well.

I don't really know what I was expecting here but I just felt disappointed. The leader lures Weapon H, Hulk, and Logan to fight each other in hopes of killing the Hulk. So what do they do? They fight.

Fight some more.

But then they learn Weapon H has a family and suddenly they team up. I just felt all of this was really stupid. I mean I guess it was fun seeing everyone beat the crap out of each other. But other than that there's not much here.

Not recommended.

HULKVERINES...SLASH?

Clay is a rad, kickass ex-military dude and a family man. I am a family man. That's about all we have in common.

Hulk and Wolverine have a long history with each other that even fairly casual Marvel fans will be aware of, so a spinoff series with both their latter-day incarnations interacting with Clay, the reluctant hero with all the toys, was a fun one-off but little else. The quirky sideplot of Samuel Sterns (AKA The Leader) tussling with Greg Pak's own creation Dr Alba was amusing.

This is the story Weapon H fans have been waiting for: Hulkverine vs Hulk vs Wolverine. EPIC.
Picking up from the Weapon H comic, the agents are still looking for Clay, so they go to the only other gamma expert they know: The Leader. However, you know if The Leader gets involved, people die and elaborate plans are bound to happen.
Being only three issues, the majority of the Volume is fighting or setting up fights, but the story flows well, and all three guys are able to settle their differences without death. Hulkverine is given the benefit of the doubt by Captain America and is allowed to stay with his family, as he can now control his powers.
What will happen to Clay next? He's not part of a team, and I don't think his title was renewed. MARVEL, don't let this character fade away!
Recommend. This title delivers exactly what the cover and title shows.

Full of cliches, and the obvious characters being all over the place with the "brand new" character that's the combination of the other two characters and things that you read about since you were kid a billion times happening again and again and again...!

It was ok just because it's Pak and the artwork is nice.

Surprised by how much I enjoyed this. Clay Cortez, aka Weapon H (or Hulk with Wolverine's hand blades), is a surprisingly good character given his rather ignoble beginnings (you know someone somewhere at Marvel said in a meeting sometime "What if..." and this is the result). The art varies from serviceable to pretty good. I'll keep reading.

This was just ok. It’s like they thought, we can’t let Weapon H end without our Hulkverine actually fighting Hulk and Wolverine. Dario Agger found a loophole in his contract with Clay about not harming his family. But it didn’t say anything about harming him. So Agger tricks Logan and Hulk into going after Weapon H. Logan eventually figures out they are being played and end up have to deal with Dr. Alba and The Leader. This was cool I guess, nothing spectacular but ok.

That was fun, lots of action for sure. This was my jump off point for all this weapon H, new weapon x stuff... super late to the party. I liked all the interaction between the hulks and Logan was fun, i enjoyed it. The plot isnt super heavy and I also enjoyed the weapon x stuff, even Leader was cool. Overall a fun book

And to think some people have the temerity to suggest superhero comics are a decadent form, reduced to recycling and recombining the same few clapped-out elements in ever more pointless variations on a tired theme.

Hulkverines Review:

Hulkverines is by Greg Pak and it is about a recent Marvel character Weapon H and battling both Wolverine and Hulk. I don't know anything about Weapon H's character and tbh, he looks completely ridiculous. The same goes for this book as well so I was really surprised on how much I enjoyed this.

Sure the plot is very predictable and we've seen this done before multiple times. The villains in this movie is very cheesy and it is a hit or missed for me. But it is mostly missed though imo. But I still enjoyed a lot of things here like I think the art is quite good and the characters were suprisingly good as well.

The writing is also decent as there is some funny lines here. The action scenes are easily my fave part here though. They were really entertaining and they just go all out on them. So overall, this book surprised me on so many things. I expected it to be bad and ended really being entertained by it.

7.5/10

Again. I really am a fan of Clayton, Weapon H. The story of Hulk's enemy The Leader teaming up with the crazy Dr. Alba from the Weapon X and Weapon H books made for some interesting things. The addition of Hulk and Wolverine sharing DNA and becoming Hulkverines as well was a cool idea.

I haven't read about the "Reborn" Bruce Banner Hulk -- in the Immortal Hulk -- so I was a bit taken aback with his transformation at night (like a werewolf on a full moon) Nor the fact that he can absorb Gamma radiation into himself. Although this was touched on, it only played for a tiny bit of the three issue within this collection.

Not sure what becomes of Clay and his cool wife and mother-in-law and his kids, but I hope they don't end up on a shelf for years or show up as a cameo in other comics without a real storyline. It would be a shame.

This book delivers a visual spectacle, with artwork that's nothing short of phenomenal. The artist, Ario Anindito, infuses each panel with crackling energy. The visuals alone make this comic a feast for the eyes.

I read this with my son over several nights, so we were able to take in the story over time and discuss it.

The narrative falls short of its artistic brilliance. The storyline feels forced and hurried, lacking the depth and development that such a crossover deserves. The characters' interactions and plot twists seem rushed, as if crammed into a limited space without room to breathe. This hampers the emotional impact and makes the story feel superficial.

This wasn't bad, but really I thought it could have been so much better. We finally have Hulk vs. Wolverine vs. Hulkverine, but it really wasn't what you'd expect. There was also a little too much humor in it considering the previous Weapon H stories were pretty serious. We did get to see the three characters interact, however, and The Leader was the main villain which was pretty cool. The art wasn't stellar but was good.

Overall good but fell a little short of its potential but is still enjoyable.

This comic is insane, but it was entertaining. THis was full of action, great art work, and plenty of humor. This was not intended to be taken super seriously, but I have to say that it was a fun ride however you decide to take it.

Awesome job by Pak following this character thru to the end and making him interesting. This ending is over the top! The idea of the character is over the top! It's logical conclusion is a HULK WOLVERINE HULKVERINE collision! And that kiss!

I really liked how Bruce was written and drawn in this run! It was really fun to see the 3 "monster" heroes team up, and I really liked Clay's speech in the car about motivation. I've never read anything with Clay before but I loved him and his family. This is definitely a favorite

IT'S THE STORY THAT HAD TO HAPPEN.

And it goes down the way it needs to happen with as Stan Lee predicted, heroes fighting heroes and then what happens after that.

So so short.

A fun read

Almost like a " What if? " tale, this fun book is worth a read of younger chance. Not the best story ever but a fun way to pass the time.

Pretty classic plot of a fight that becomes a team up, ending with the baddies running away and nothing really changing. The character has potential though.

This was exactly what one would expect from something called Hulkverines but worse. An unholy, creepy romance thrown in for the hell of it, kind of worse.
