Can love really be found between the pages of a book?
Laura Davies had everything she wanted with the opening of her own business. That is until she starts reading a book that she can’t remember ordering. One that disappears and reappears at will. A story that matches her life in so many ways.
Reading through the pages makes her yearn for the unattainable. A character in the story she can’t get out of her head. She longs to meet the handsome man who fills her days and nights.
Now, she has a choice to make. Will she take a chance on her dream becoming reality? Or will she decide that this enchantment is not within her grasp?
Originally from the United Kingdom, Morgan Sheppard now resides in Germany, although she freely admits to having left part of her heart in Wales. Whilst a writer mainly in the fantasy genre, Morgan is more than happy to share her love of reading amongst the many different genres out there, and can always be found with a book close by.
As well as reading and writing, Morgan spends her time looking after her family and trying to learn German. Unfortunately, a natural aptitude for languages doesn’t appear to be one of her strong points. However, stubbornness is, so she continues to persevere. So far, Morgan is confident enough to order a beer and a pretzel.

I’m going to say before anything else, this isn’t my usual genre. The expectations of a romantic style book are never set in the real world. However, this is Morgan Sheppard and she doesn’t do run of the mill anything!
I have to say that this book defied my expectations of a romance, partly because of the other elements in it. Mainly, it was because the characters were likeable and believable and I wanted to know what happened. They made me care. Morgan Sheppard has created a lovely piece of work that even an anti romance book person like me enjoyed. Thank you!
I read this book as an ARC from the author with no expectations of a good review.
What a Latte Books is a fantastic, fun read! It’s a genre that I don’t typically read but did, on request. I am glad I did! The MC, Laura and her friends are lovely, with relatable personalities. The story that Sheppard spins is engaging and kept me reading until the end. It made me consider opening my own book story in hopes that magic could happen.
I love the idea behind this book. How often I've fallen for a character in a book! This takes it a step further.
Laura buys a bookshop/coffee shop in a new village. It's about life starting over and takes a magical turn, that I won't spoil for you. Love in it's purest form. A read for all romance lovers.
Laura opens her dream business, a book/coffee shop. A book she doesn't remember ordering pulls her attention and draws her into a wonderful story of love. But Laura doesn't expect to ever find the kind of love she reads in the book. Then, she meets Simon and Laura begins to wonder, what is real and what is not.
I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful tale of a a book shop owner falling in love, not only in the pages of this mysterious book, but in real life too. when the connection between the book and Laura's friends becomes clear, a LOT of things begin to make more sense. I'm not saying they didn't before then, but it's like a light bulb moment, and the penny drops and all the little hints and clues come together and you can see the bigger picture.
Its on the sweet side, with just some kissing, but I liked that (which Ms Morgan found kinda funny, considering what I usually like to read) The book does NOT need the explicitness, because it is sweet, and cute and all kinds of warm and fuzzies that makes you glow inside after reading it!
The love between Laura and Simon grows, steadily thoughout the book, and I liked that it wasn't rushed. There were powerful feelings, from the very begininng, from Laura and between her and Simon, but it takes time for those feelings to become clear for her.
Only Laura has a say though, and I think if he had, I would have enjoyed this just that little bit more.
Still a delightful tale, of finding love wherever you find can.
