Witch You Were Here

Rate this book
Not everyone loves a good party!

As the school year winds to a close at the mystical Winchester Academy, Max has to deal with the dual threats of finals and her coming out party, her chance to impress the entire magical community. Oh, and her ongoing struggle to balance the four hot wizards that want to woo her. It doesn't help that her old-fashioned grandmother wants to force Max to choose just one!

But all that would be fine, nothing that the hard-working witch can't handle, if every single thing didn't seem to be going wrong in preparation for the party. From a culinary disaster to a very intentional wardrobe malfunction, it's one challenge after another! Is it coincidence, or is there someone or something working to turn Max's big day into a total disaster?

Erin Bedford is an otaku, recovering coffee addict, and Legend of Zelda fanatic. Her brain is so full of stories that need to be told that she must get them out or explode into a million screaming chibis. Obsessed with fairy tales and bad boys, she hasn’t found a story she can’t twist to match her deviant mind full of innuendos, snarky humor, and dream guys.

On the outside, she’s a work from home mom and bookbinger. One the inside, she’s a thirteen-year-old boy screaming to get out and tell you the pervy joke they found online. As an ex-computer programmer, she dreams of one day combining her love for writing and college credits to make the ultimate video game!

Until then, when she’s not writing, Erin is devouring as many books as possible on her quest to have the biggest book gut of all time. She’s written over thirty books, ranging from paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and even scifi romance.

Also, third person is really weird when writing about yourself. Just putting that out there.

Amazing!

Such a good series so far! I love all the guys but as of this moment Aiden and Ian have my heart! I do wish things with the guys moved a bit faster though. This slow burn is killing me! I need to see Aiden let loose and get wild! Haha! Can't wait for book 4 to come out!

I’m not a huge fan of RH books. I read them, yes, but they aren’t my favorite. However, this author’s writing is such that I still enjoy every minute of this series. It’s fun, light, sexy, and well-written. In this installment, we see Max preparing for her coming out party right after the end of her school year and finals. But someone is throwing a monkey wrench into her plans. I love the addition of Max’s cousin Addy, and I can’t wait to find out more about her. I would love to also see more about her exploring her powers. This book (and this series) is a great way to pass a lazy afternoon! Highly recommend!

This is the third book in the Academy of Witches series and it picks up right where book two leaves off. We get to watch as Max deals with her grandmother for her coming out party and while doing so get to see plenty monkey wrenches thrown into everything. I love how she finally is confident in her relationships with the guys and refused to pick just one to escort her to the party. I can not wait to see what happens in the next book and I hope that Max's cousin Addy has a place in it.

Ok, while this continues to be entertaining for me, we have somehow gone off the wagon. This whole series has gotten just ridiculous. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS IS REALLY SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT! That is where we are, took a turn on RH drive and just landed in Smutville and haven't looked back since. In fact, I'm pretty sure there isn't even an underlying story. Just some developing young adult relationships and witty commentary. Like I said, still entertaining, but going nowhere from what I can tell lol. Prolly gonna read the next one anyways.....😂.

Max is back! And here comes more trouble. There's a coming out party, the school year is ending, four handsome wizards and nothing but drama! Max has more than her work cut out for her in this book.
Witch You Were Here is book 3 in this series, but I feel that the storyline begins to slack off a bit. Max has her engaging moments as a character, but I think that the family name is beginning to get to her a bit. I liked her better in the first two books. I do like how the author doesn't wait to bring the drama though. You barely get into the story and BAM! Essentially a slap in the face from one of the characters (not literally, metaphorically speaking). My jaw literally dropped. LOL!
I am rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. This book has a lot of good moments, but I don't like it when authors attempt to have the parents/grandparents trying to be friends with their kids. It just bugs me a bit. There are certain aspects that don't fully line up concerning the storyline, but it's nothing so bad that this book needs to lose another star. If you've read the previous books and enjoyed them then grab this book up and dive in!

Suddenly, Dale has become my favorite. Although, the scene in her bedroom after her cousin Addy showed up - that whole scene was embarrassing.

Despite all that, Dale seems to be the best guy for her besides Aidan. Although, Dale is the one who got her drunk in the last book and I didn't like that whole thing.

I'm also not sure what I think of the big reveal for the "bad guy" -

It’s was great but...

I love this author and the series but if the other two books felt like summer blockbuster movies this book felt like a made for tv film. The central plot of this book has us watching as she prepares for her coming out party and completes her first year of school. There was never any sense of real urgency for her to successfully complete anything -her finals, the party, troubles with her best friend etc. there was many little plot points that I felt should not have been glossed over and that made them have less of an impact on the story. Like she was never in danger of anything really going wrong even though multiple crisis’s happened. That being said the writing was still good, we get more development with her 4 boyfriends. And I will definently be picking up book 4 I’m just hoping that her next challenge packs a bigger punch - especially since our villains have changed

I’ve been fangirling over Erin Bedford’s books ever since I read the first of her Mary Wiles Chronicles novels (a wonderful series that I highly recommend, by the way). No surprise then that I’ve loved the books in her new Academy of Witches Series. It’s third book, Witch You Were Here, certainly more than holds up the quality and maintains the excitement and wonder of the predecessors. Max may be facing a lot on this tale but you just gotta have faith in her - and have faith that this author will provide a great story with a wonderful and well written plot. In both instances it’s faith well earned. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Finals are around the corner, and if that wasn't enough stress, now Max's grandma decided she should be a proper witch and have a coming out party. How could she have a typical proper one though, being Maxine? Handling four boyfriends, nosy roommate, human best friend, Sabrina being the bitch as always and now even more present in her life, awkward situations with her parents, and even a mysterious person trying to destroy her party and social life, Max is more than occupied to solve her problems.
This book really made me laugh or smack my face on occasions, having all those hilarious scenes peppered around the steamy ones as well as the little mystery involved. I liked the increased connection to all the four boyfriends, the shaping of their personalities, and even some introductions of the parents. Moreover, I really appreciate the other side of Sabrina showing up too - after all, no one is completely good or evil. I am actually looking forward to the next book.

Witch You Were Here seamlessly begins where As You Witch ends. I would recommend that this book not be read until the first two in the series have been read. This is a RH book with a couple very light M/M scenes.
You see a lot of character development during the course of the novel. Some of it is surprising. Some not as much. But I was happy to learn more about all the characters in the series.
There are a couple of "dry" spots (meaning not a lot happening), but they are short and not difficult to push through.
Even though it is summer break from college, Max finds herself busy and still having fun. Her mastery of her powers continue both inside and outside the classroom, and she grows her relationships with all her guys, as well as other characters in the series.
Overall, giving this book a 5/5

Max is spending the summer at her grandparents house to prepare for her coming out party. Between juggling her grandmother’s attempts to take over everything, finding time for four boyfriends, and a rash of setbacks in planning her big party, Max is stretched pretty thin. Both old and new characters come together to pull off Max’s big day while a surprising enemy and an even more surprising ally emerges. I love the characters here. Max is strong and independent and the four men she is involved with all have their own distinct personalities. I also like that so much time is spent on establishing the individual relationships and not immediately jumping into sex. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the first book I've read from this series, so I was behind the curve to start. That being said, I like the story line but it took me a minute to figure things out. I wasn't fond of Max from the beginning and some of that may be due to missing the first two books. I love the "witch raised human" part, but I didn't find as much witchy magic as I wanted. Max just has no control over herself around the guys. I did love the way she stood her ground about her party and cousin Addy was just great. I've read several books by this author and I really love her work. I still feel somewhat unclear about some things, but I am curious to see what happens next. I volunteered to read an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Wanting More....

Maxine is quickly getting to know all her men. She makes it through finals and then for summer vacation she spends it in her Grandparents Harold and Nina's house. She makes it through her coming out party and she discovers who has been sabotaging and causing problems in setting up the coming out party. We get to know the guys a little bit more. There are four men. Two of them are brothers Paul and Ian Broomstein, then the other two Dale Varens and Aidan Templars. The only M/M stuff was only kissing there is No sex. There is a lot of hetro sex with Maxine and her individual men. Maybe some spankings in the next book.

I started getting bored in this book.
I ended up not really reading it all and just skipping to the end.
By the end, she has still only really slept with one of the guys.
I would have thought that she would be further along with the other guys.
Especially after what she did in the first book with two of them.
How this ends, I feel like there will be more (or should be), but I'm not sure if that is the case.
I'll be on the lookout for more.
I'm not sure if I would recommend this series after coming this far.
It was a lot of the same.
The timeline is really skewed to me and hard to know how much time has passed exactly.
You be the judge though.

What a great story even though I hadn’t read books 1 and 2 I didn’t have too much trouble getting into this story, I enjoyed it immensely but to know the whole story I do need to get the other books which I plan to do. Max is a witch and she has 4 hot guys all for herself Aiden, Dale, Ian and Paul are the sexy men she has by her side. I love Reverse Harem stories but I always manage to get the 2nd or 3rd book to start with never the first and when I enjoy the story like this one I always have to get the others like this story. It’s a great story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read, don’t be a dummy like me get book one first lol.

Great YA

I really love this author, and am a huge fan of her books. I enjoyed this series as a cute pick me up , loved the characters, their differences , and the MCs strong personality. I’m not sure how The Ya genre is bc I’ve seen some with pretty surface level drama like this one, and then I’ve read others that were pretty intense . But I did like this story line althoug I thought some things were a little inconsistent , and I do wish the drama surrounding the villain in this book was a little more detailed. But overall I enjoyed the series and how it all tied together .

Whitch You Were Here is the 3 book in this series and it picks from where book 2 leaves off.. It is full of fun, magic and lots of it and hot sizzling romance.. oh and also a small amount if sabatauge... Our main character Max or Maxine has not only 1 boyfriend but she has 4... If that isn't hot I don't know what is. Max has a best friend that is human her name is Callie... And another best friend in the witch world named Trina.. Maxe's boyfriend's are Aiden, Dale, Ian and Paul.. and all 4 are as hot as ever.. or should I say sizzling... I loved reading this book.. and I can't wait to see what will happen in books to come...

Max is finally finding her feet and standing up for herself which is great to see and she has 4 hot guys who want her, but alas trouble still follows. Max has her finals as well as her coming out party she agreed to do with her grandmother. While her finals seem going well things are not for her party everything is going wrong and she doesn't know who is behind it all but they have a lot of power behind them from the looks of it. There are some great twists and surprises from people you don't expect as well as some steamy scenes as well as lol moments.

Good...but...

So, I have read three books in this series. What’s the hook? I mean there are 4 hot guys...but there is no mystery, no real purpose, except Max and her intro into the witching world.

There isn’t enough time devoted to building relationship. Max says she likes the guys for more than just sex...but it seems that sex is all she has with her guys. Aiden is mysterious. Ian is dangerous. You barely see that. Dale became interested in book 1 - because?

All the ingredients are there for an amazing series. But. It falls flat. Seems like there should be a better editor too.

Maxine is coming to the end of her school year, and has to put up with her Grandmother's plans for a major 'Coming Out' party - interference from an unknown person who seems determined to ruin the preparations - and revealing her 4 lovers to her family and the community. The fact that she has been raised by humans seems to be an issue - but will she manage to resolve it all? A lovely, light hearted read which I thoroughly enjoyed :-)

Max and her harem, and her friends, magical and non magical are planning her coming out party and nothing is going right! Dealing with her Grandmother is hard enough without everything else falling apart. Someone is sabotaging her party and she has no clue who it could be, well except maybe Sabrina her arch nemesis! This book is full of fun sexy scenes and a few twists thrown in that you will not see coming! Great read!

In an effort to compromise with her witchly grandmother, Max agrees to having a coming out party in the magical community - made difficult in part but the need to choose one of her four beaux to escort her, but also by the series of mishaps that seem to crop up with the catering, her dress, the bands......

seems like someone does not want her to have a good ball.

weird and wild, and a little harem-ish.

another fun college adventure for this half human super witch!

How she does it, I'm not sure, but Erin sure did not disappoint with Witch You Were Here.

Max is a busy witch with finals and a coming out party to plan, things kept going not as plans. With the help of her roommate, her sexy guys and one kickass cousin, she gets it all taken care of!

I love the little twist, as Erin definitely thrown me for a loop. I couldn't put the book down! It was funny, sexy and some crazy antics! A definite must read!

This is the third book in the series and I highly recommend you read the others first. There was not a lot of drama or even a really bad guy in this book but the characters continue to develop nicely and Max is finding her stride and definitely standing up for what she wants. There were a number of spots that made me laugh out loud and occasionally spit coffee across the room and I am so hoping to see more of Cousin Addy in book 4!

Love this series

Note: I received an advanced review copy in exchange for my honest review.

Here we are at book 3! This is such a great series. If you haven’t read book 1 or 2, I implore you to read those ASAP then read this one. I won’t spoil anything but I will say it gets better and better as our main character half-witch continues to sort her way through the magical community with help from her hunky boys. It’s got all the good parts a good read has, love, sex, angst, a bit of drama and some laughs too.

If you love paranormal romance and are keen towards witches there’s no reason not to read this series. It’s one of my favourites of Erin Bedford so I cant say enough how awesome it is and I really am so impatient as I want to read book 4 now. Haha

I really enjoyed Max's preparations for her big party. Yes a lot went wrong, but even with all of that it still turned out to e a really entertaining read. I love the laid back unrushed feel to these books. I'm enjoying getting to know Max and her two best gal pals. I'm also really really enjoying getting to know all of the guys. Every time I start a book in this series I don't want to put it down until I'm finished and it ends up really relaxing me and this book was no exception to that.

This is the third book in this series and I definitely suggest reading in order. In this addition, Max is preparing for finals and her coming out party. She is also dealing with a little sabotage. Then there is her grandmother to deal with. She wants Max to pick just one suitor. Yeah...not happening. Max is way too happy with all four!

I enjoyed book 3 in this series. It is a RH focused on Max who is learning how to deal with her powers after learning she is witch. It has all the needed plot details to a wonderful series, but for me this book moved a slower than the first two, but it was still good. Hoping for more and to see more development for some of the characters and to see the action pick back up and move along faster. I volunteered to read this book on Booksprout.

I loved this book but this book is my least favorite in the series. It seemed as it was slightly rushed to produce it as quick as possible. It could of used a bit more work. It was still a pageturner for me and I liked the caracters none the less so I recommend it but hope the next book is a little more put together. I enjoyed it because there is more development with the guys... and the villains changed so yay!

Max continues to navigate the witch world. This book had a somewhat lighter tone than the last one but still full of intrigue. Max grows surer in her role as a witch and her part as a Mancaster without giving in to her grandma's whims. Her boyfriends learn how to work together with Max's happiness in mind. And alliances are forged and masks fall.
