Author of twenty-six books in six series, Sophie Davis is a pseudonym for best friends turned co-authors. The pair met in law school and instantly bonded over their love of great books and bad horror movies. When one longed for the ability to read minds so she wouldn't have to study for the bar exam, they created a dystopian world with superpowers that spans nine books.

While writing in genres of paranormal romance, time travel, urban fantasy, and mystery, their works have been optioned for film and translated for an international audience. You can find them teaching their dogs to enter wormholes in the desert of Southern California.

Disappointing

Considering this is meant to be the last book in the series the story is left woefully unfinished and was an unsatisfying read. The amount of errors throughout made this hard to read and understand.

I received this free book as an ARC for my honest opinion. I would've rated this book with 4 stars and will explain why I didn’t. I have to say I am a huge Sophie Davis fan. I have read pretty much all their books, and love them due to the writing, descriptions, amazing characters and unique storylines. I've read all of the Shadow Fate Trilogy to date and have enjoyed it. I am still rooting for Endora and her friends and I'am looking forward to reading the next book.
This book was different and there are three reasons for my low rating.
First, there were so many typos in every chapter, it was frustrating especially when there was an action scene or a necessary bit of history or information being given. I would have to stop and re-read the sentence or paragraph. I've never seen so many errors in their books. Any unknown author, I probably would've stopped reading. I am hoping the book will go through another edit prior to releasing it.
Second, this part of the story was very reminiscent of the Percy Jackson series, which I also enjoyed. But, as I stated, I enjoy the uniqueness of Sophie Davis' writing and storylines.
Third, it was rather short and I thought a trilogy was 3 books not four. Regardless, I remain a huge fan and look forward to seeing how the story ends with Endora being victorious.

I was so sad to finish this lovely story. The ending had me incredibly hooked and planning to stay up for at least another hour past my bedtime. However, the good news is that there will be another book in the series and I can’t wait for it!

We finally get to experience the Underworld, and I enjoyed every second of it. The characters and scenes were written perfectly, and I could easily imagine everything that Eel experienced. I especially loved the scene featuring the naked people. Haha. There were also quite a few unexpected twists, and I am dying for more information.

Please please please release the next book soon!

I received a copy and volunteered to review it.

Sophie Davis is an amazing writer. Her books definitely get their hooks in you and wont let you go. When you finish they have you begging for more. Almost like a drug.
The only reason I dont give the books 5 stars is because of the grammar mistakes. A lot of misspellings and grammatical errors. Sometimes she's become he's. Sometimes it seems like you are missing a whole piece of the story. I have had to reread an couple of times to figure out what is going on. Sometimes I had to give up and just hope that part isnt to important.

But if you can look past the errors you really are in for a ride.!

I received an ARC of this book from these amazing authors. Where this isn't my favourite Sophie Davis series, I'm still keen to get my eyes on the next and final chapters of Shadow Fate. In this instalment Endora gets separated from her friends and protectors in a world so foreign where nothing is what it seems. In a place where it's hard to know who and what to trust, sometimes you've just got to go with your heart. But will it just get her deeper in trouble, or light the fire she needs to rescue her fathers and Kaydon and her own souls? Eager to see how and who comes back from the underworld.

Ready for the next one

There's a really big issue with good stories, they end. Even if it's just the end of one book, and you know there's more to come, you still have to wait around until the next installment is released. Yes it ends in a cliffhanger, yes you're going to have to buy ANOTHER book. But you'll get a great story no matter which series you start with, just be sure to start with the first book in the series. Don't go all rogue and think you can start with this book, youd be so lost you'd never find your way out.

Fun story, poorly edited

While the stories that Sophie tells are fun and imaginative the books are rife with many errors. It is off putting at first, then becomes annoying when needing to re-read passages to make the mental correction. It seems as if an early draft was printed rather then the finished manuscript.

Okay okay okay

Huge cliffhanger. The time with Helena seemed entirely too long taking up a lot of this book but if it built up an amazing finale I won't be disappointed.
