Rate this book
Finally the authoritative visual catalog of the baddest asses in pop culture. Three chapters cover guys, girls and the horses they rode in on. From Clint Eastwood to Joan Jett to the DeLorean (the car in Back to the Future). Written and drawn by zine master Mark Todd, Bad Asses is a 104 page whopper!

Weird and pointless, like something written by a drunkard practicing their drawing.

This is a cute little (and I do mean LITTLE) book I picked up on Mackinac Island several years back. It's a book of illustrations and brief descriptions of tough characters in pop culture (some real, some fictional) mainly ranging from the 1970's and 1980's. Joan Jett and Freddy Krueger are a couple of the people featured.

This book had an interesting premise and brought up some cool historical details, but the author's "bone-crushing, face-smashing" internet style didn't work for an overall book, IMO. At some points I wanted him to stop finding cool ways to say "bad ass" or "ass-kicking" and to just tell the story.

Hero (and anti-hero) worship in the form of drawings and handwritten notes, divided into three sections: bad ass dudes, bad ass women, and bad ass automobiles. It's a fun way to kill 10 or 15 minutes.
