Pretty Little Dolls #2

Zaginione laleczki

Rate this book
Chciał ją odnaleźć i kochać; w swoje łapy dostać.

Wpuściłam kogoś do swojego serca.

Detektyw Jade Phillips przegrała grę i wylądowała z powrotem w okrutnych szponach swojego oprawcy.

Dillon Scott, partner i kochanek Jade, zrobi wszystko, by dopaść Benny’ego. Nie zatrzyma się przed niczym. Ma tylko jeden cel – uratować ukochaną. Zbiera kolejne poszlaki i kontynuuje dziką gonitwę, by wyrwać kobietę, którą kocha, z rąk potwora…

Choć zasady gry się zmieniają, Jade musi odnaleźć sposób, by wymierzyć sprawiedliwość mordercom. I przechytrzyć ich, by odzyskać wolność. Tym razem już na zawsze.

Holy sh*t! This second installment definitely met my expectations. If you have read and liked 'Pretty Stolen Dolls', the first installment in the series, then for sure you will like this one as well. This second book was dark and dirty, bloody and gory and of course crazy and creepy as f@ck. It goes without saying these two ladies can write some serious, intense and of course intriguing, dark sh*t that can f@ck-up with any reader’s mind, keeping him at the edge of his seat from start to finish. And let me tell you, these two did exactly that with me and well and as strange and crazy as it sounds, I loved every minute of it.

“This is where she belongs—here. This cell is her home. She just needs reminding of that fact.”

'Pretty Lost Dolls' picks exactly where the first book ended. Jade is in hell, in Benny’s hell…again. She’s a prisoner, a lost doll…maybe, but not a scarred or broken little doll like Benny thinks she is. Since Jade had lived through the worst of what Benny could do to her, she’s determined to survive anything her captor plans to do again. She planned to catch the sick f@ck for eight years, so this is her chance to prove herself that she’s a good detective, but also that she’s stronger than she used to be. But Benny has plans for his dirty little doll. She needs to be punish and he needs to reminder her he's her master.

“I’m not crazy, dirty doll.” I lift my eyebrows at her. “Granted, I’m not what most would call normal either, but normal is like beauty—all in the eye of the beholder, right?”

Benny finally found his beloved dirty doll. He still can’t believe she left him, he still can’t believe after everything that happened between them she’s still not convinced that she belongs with him. He wants to make her pay for that, but he also wants to love her, because in his sick mind, Benny is firmly convinced he loves her.

"Panicked and panting. Lost and confused. So perfect. Perfect little doll."

Oh my Gawd…this second installment kept me at the edge of my seat even more than the first. The suspense, the craziness, the mystery, everything f@cked-up with my head. The plot was intriguing and I liked how the story unfolded. While the story line was a bit predictable at some point into the story, at least to me, I really enjoyed this second installment. The pace was fantastic for a dark and twisted read and I have to say that I really loved all the twists and revelations that honestly kept me glued to the pages from start to finish.

In this second installment, we get to see why Benny is such a psychotic killer. His character was crazy, yeah…no doubt about that, but also so very fascinating. His portrayal was stellar and I loved how his background was gradually revealed. I loved to read all the scenes from his past and find more about his obsession with “perfect dolls”. His past was heartbreaking, but also so very creepy. His relationship with Jade and also his relationship with Macy were fantastic to read about. Macy was another interesting character that had her own important role in this second installment.

“Sometimes a tough girl who is used to saving herself needs a hero.”

Once again, Jade’s character was fantastically developed. She was such a strong heroine, from the beginning so determined to fight her captor with everything she has. I really sympathize with her reading her story. She was such a fighter and I loved that about her. Dillon was wonderful as ever. His love, care and support for Jade were heartwarming and were the perfect pinch of light the story needed. I loved their relationship and the strong connection and tenderness between them.

This second installment like the first was disturbing and it made me cringe a couple of times, but I have to say that was so very intriguing. I loved the multiple POV and I truly think it was necessarily. I loved all of them, but the one who stood out for me was Benny’s. His POV was so fantastically done and I wouldn’t have minded more chapters to be written from his sick perspective. The ending was simply perfect and it definitely left me with my mouth hanging open. Holy sh*t…that ending!

If you are looking for an erotic mystery thriller series with dark, disturbing elements, look no further. This series will keep you at the edge of your seat, giving you the chills from start to finish.

Overall, a fantastic, gripping, dark read!

'Pretty Lost Dolls' picks up right where 'Pretty Stolen Dolls' left off. Jade is once again at the mercy of Benny, aka Benjamin. She is reliving her worst nightmare. Only, this time around Benny hasn't taken a young, passive girl. He's taken a grown woman that has spent years training to take him down and he will have a fight on his hands.

Much light is shed on Benny's past, making him a far more human character. There's no question that he's crazy. However, his story called to me and I found myself feeling sorry for the boy that grew into a monster. Poor Benny. My heart broke for him, even as I knew that there was no redemption for him.

Jade is reunited with Macy, but finds that she's no longer the sweet little sister that she left behind. Her time as Benny's captive has irrevocably changed her for the worse. All of Jade's hopes of rescuing the sister that she left behind are turned upside down as she realizes that Macy may be worse than Benny. He's turned her into a monster, just like him.

I also found myself growing even more fond of Dillon. He may have started off as a jerk, but he really proves himself to be a stand-up guy in this book. He is unfailingly loyal to Jade, even when his own life, and the lives of his loved ones, are placed in danger.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. It was dark and oh so twisted. Where book one hinted at Benny's depravity, this book will submerse you in his disturbing world. I was equal parts terrified and curious to see what would happen with each flip of a page.

This was a fantastic, dark read. If you love dark, suspenseful stories that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, then this is a great choice. If you are the type of individual that is triggered by abuse, sexual assault, or diabolical psychos, then steer clear. This is the type of book that will give you nightmares...and I loved every minute!

K. Webster & Ker Dukey take us on another extremely dark and disturbing ride in PRETTY LOST DOLLS. I don’t know why I ever avoided these types of stories because, OMG, I love this series so much!!! It was freaking FLAWLESS!!! I truly hope that these two authors continue to collaborate together and I am sending out a desperate plea to them to PLEASE continue this story!! I am so not ready to put this one to bed!! This book completely consumed me and it felt like within a blink of an eye, I was at the end of the epilogue. And I confess I really fell hard for the dark and utterly demented Benny!! I’m not even going to feel the least bit ashamed of it either!!

Jade finds herself back in the living nightmare she escaped from. Back with the man who stole her innocence and a piece of her soul. But now he has a partner in crime who actually is even more psychotic than he is. Jade spent years feeling guilt over leaving her little sister behind but always held on to her determination to find Macy. When she’s reunited with her baby sister it’s evident that Macy is one crazy psychotic bitch who has learned more than a thing or two from Benny. The scary thing is, she is even more dangerous because there clearly is no humanity left in her.

 photo Teaser Two 1_zps71rxym6i.jpg

But let’s get to the one I loved the most in this story, and that my friends was Benny. Maybe I’m insane but I really felt for him and hey, I wouldn’t mind being his dirty little doll. Benny has his dolly back and he couldn’t feel more elated but also extremely betrayed because she left him and was with another man. Little does he know, he brought the wrong man back with him. Poor Bo!! The things he endures! For those of you who are squeamish, you’ll definitely want to steer clear of this series. I am not going to give away some of the gory things that happen but will tell you this book is definitely not for the faint of heart.

Jade ‘aka’ Dirty Little Doll is able to use her charms to get Benny to open up to her about his past. She hopes that it will help her somehow find his weakness and enable her to escape once more. We learn that Benny has been brought up by a set of seriously f’d up parents. His mother and father were both equally deranged and psychotic. Benny was kept at home and was never allowed to go to school with other kids. Having lived most of his life being isolated from the outside world and subjected to physical and mental abuse on a daily basis, it’s no wonder he turned out the way he did. But Benny has a tenderness inside him as well. He wants to love and be loved. Somehow in his warped mind he thinks Jade is his soul mate and although he is again guilty of committing some seriously heinous acts, he also ends up coming to Jade’s rescue on more than one occasion.

 photo unnamed 2_zps46jz3ikv.jpg

I do believe that Dillon was the right man for Jade and there’s no denying the man was incredibly alpha and sexy, but my heart had already been stolen by Benny. I am not sure if the authors plan on continuing the series but the way things end in this one, they kind of leave it open so that another book could be written. I’d like it if Benny could eventually find the right dolly who could help him heal and live some sort of HEA.

PRETTY LOST DOLLS is available now! If you like your stories dark and twisted, and you have a weakness for the psychotic bad boys, you will want to get to this series ASAP!!!

Darker, grittier, and more twisted than its predecessor, Pretty Lost Dolls does not disappoint! K. Webster and Ker Dukey will have you biting your nails and holding your breath as this brilliantly written, suspense filled story unfolds. Told in multiple POV, we get to experience everything through the eyes and minds of Jade, Dillion, and Benny, and I loved every mind reeling, stomach churning, heartbreaking moment of it!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Though I enjoyed every character’s perspective, Benny’s was definitely my favorite. Learning what made him into the monster he is and delving into the deep recesses of his mind was the most fascinating part of the story for me. The flashbacks from his past were gut wrenching. I know we probably aren’t supposed to, but I actually felt a little bad for him. When you think about it, as much as he may have turned Macy into the sick and twisted freak that she was, the same thing was done to him. If anything, he had even less of a chance than she did. At least, she had a normal loving family for part of her life. He never had that. Not to mention, he was isolated from the rest of the world most of the time. Don’t get me wrong, I still think he needed to be held accountable for what he did. He is a very disturbed man that has done inconceivable, disgusting, and heinous things to innocent people.

“I do know the difference between right and wrong, but I just like the way wrong feels. It’s an impulse, an urge more intense than anything else.”

This sequel picks up where Pretty Stolen Dolls left off with Jade back in the clutches of her delusional captor, Benny. With his favorite dolly back in his possession, the demented dollmaker has no intention of letting her slip away again. He thinks that if he could get her to see how much he has longed for her and how deeply he cares for her that she would stop trying to run away.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

"She starts to cry hysterically and a smile turns one side of my lips up. God, how I missed the sweet sound of her despair."

Benny is elated to finally be reunited with his dirty little doll. He is torn between wanting to hurt Jade and love her. Heartbroken by her abandonment and infuriated by her naughtiness, Benny inflicts his own brand of love and punishment on her.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Jade is not the same scared little girl she was when Benny abducted her all those years ago. She is determined to escape and end Benny’s reign of terror once and for all. Benny may invade her body, but she will not allow him into her mind again. She is counting on her love for Dillion to keep her from breaking and give her the strength to endure whatever happens until the moment she can break free. The problem is this time Benny is not alone, and the stakes are even higher with Bo’s life on the line, too. Macy is there to keep an eye on the captives in his absence. She seems to be even more deranged than he is. Will Jade ever get the chance she needs to escape?

Dillion is losing his mind with worry as he imagines all of the horrific things Benny is doing to Jade with every minute that goes by. He will do anything to track Benny down and get back the love of his life. Jade searched for Benny for years, but she was still never able to get close to him. Does Dillion actually stand a chance of seeing Jade ever again?

“Is he punishing her, raping her, killing her? I’m going out my ever-loving mind. My own thoughts feel like the enemy right now and I just want to roar all this anger, remorse, and fear out of me. He took my girl. This motherfucker is going to die.”

Pretty Lost Dolls is phenomenally written, well-paced, and gripping from beginning to end. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more in a conclusion. The authors have expertly crafted one of the most intriguing, intense, dark, and suspenseful thrillers I have had the pleasure of reading. If you liked the first book, move this one to the top of your to be read list! If you haven’t read either one of the books in this series, but you are a fan of thrillers or all things dark and twisted, what are you waiting for?!

Pretty Lost Dolls is the second book in the Pretty Stolen Dolls Series! After the shocking conclusion of Pretty Stolen Dolls, I have been obsessed with finding out what was going to happen next. Needless to say, Ker Dukey and K. Webster certainly did not disappoint. Benny, Jade, and Dillon are back, and the stakes are high when survival is on the line.

description

"When you're not disobeying, you're perfect."
description

Benny wants one thing in his life, and it is to have his "dirty little doll" by his side. With Jade back in his prison, it seems as if all will be right in his twisted world. But Jade is different now. She has transformed and isn't willing to let Benny have her. Clinging to the hope that Dillon is searching for her, Jade does all she can to keep breathing and stay alive.

"I will manipulate him. But I can't show all my cards right away. He'd sense the deception, and my body would become his whipping post."
As the plot progresses, the horrific truths of Benny's past are revealed. The violence and dysfunction are incomprehensible, and somehow this broken complex character becomes a lost little boy. Although Jade is broken, she is strong and every moment in hell makes her stronger and more fierce. The connection between Dillon and Jade continues to develop, and the bond that they forge is impenetrable. As each twist of the plot unfolds, there is more terror, more pain, and more passion.

description

"There's a real fine line between love and hate, and I like that you border there. It makes you taste sweeter. Make no mistake who you belong to."
Told in multiple POV, Pretty Lost Dolls is a perfect blend of action, intrigue, and sensuality. The characters are complex, and the tempo is like an erotic dance speeding up and slowing down as every horror is revealed. Certain aspects of the plot were predictable and yet, the nuances of the circumstances remain authentic As much as I would love to expand on my thoughts and feelings on the plot, everyone should jump into this blind. This is one ride you want to experience first hand. Just make sure you have a friend nearby and fasten your seatbelt for the ride of your life!

description

Pretty Lost Dolls was a fantastic conclusion to this series. The plot is original and carefully constructed to keep you on the edge of your seat the entire read. Every single character is complex and integral to the story. Every emotion is felt to the core, and this is one story I will never forget! I can only hope these authors will pair up again to create more greatness! Bravo ladies! Bravo!

PRETTY LOST DOLLS: Remember us suffering souls that were catapulted over that cliffy in the previous book? Well you'll be happy to know that this book picks up right where that cliffy left us, it's also told in multiple POV'S Benny, Jade & Dillion

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Sometimes a tough girl who is used to saving herself needs a hero.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Going into this I'm not going to lie I do have some trepidation because you just never know with these two authors, separately I can handle what each throw at me, but put them together I don't know what sick shit they are going to throw our ways. Going through my mind is the thought of what if they make us fall in love with Benny's character making this even sicker and more of a mind fuck than it already is?? Because you just never know with these two *shudders* Prays to the book gods this doesn't happen!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Benny's Baaaccckkkk!! And he's got his dirty little doll back where she belongs, locked up in her cage again..Only this time he's not dealing with that scared little girl he captured many years ago, now he's dealing with a hardened, tough cop.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic I had to have you, and you became mine. My little doll, and then you ran away.

With this book giving us Benny's POV we finally see what really started to unhinge him, what makes him tick, what his fascination is with Jade all get revealed in this book. Such a cringe worthy, nails down the blackboard read,
parts are unbearably sick to read, but you'll have a deeper understanding of Benny, and you'll be doubly rooting that Jade yet again escapes that hell hole.

“Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick.
So she phoned for the doctor to be quick, quick, quick.
The doctor came with his bag and his hat
And he knocked at the door with a rat-a-tat-tat.
He looked at the dolly and he shook his head
And he said ‘Miss Polly, put her straight to bed!’
He wrote on a paper for a pill, pill, pill
‘I’ll be back in the morning yes I will, will, will."

Image and video hosting by TinyPic When I was taken as a child, I was just that, a child. I knew what happened to me wasn't right. Now as an adult, being a strong, well-trained, gun wielding agent and still being defenseless against this kind of violation is soul destroying.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

How do you even write up a review when you're left sitting after it looking at life going on as normal when what you've just read is anything but normal??
How do you even explain in your review the shit storm of a clusterfuck you've just read, the twists and turns, the sick twisted shit that your minds been subjected too can not be unread, but being a sick, twisted puppy I loved this book hard.

An hour has gone by and I'm still left reeling from how this book ended, speechless, needing, wanting more, like a thirst that can never be quenched..

So we are back with messed up psycho Benny and so is Jade. This time she is not the 14 year old little girl frightened and weak, She is strong and is determined not to be his dirty little dolly anymore. Benny of course has other plans and something/someone that will make Jade comply to him.

I think the star of this one for me was Macy poor little broken doll. Over the years she has been so neglected, starved for attention and affection while watching Jane get all of Bennys time. She would do anything for it, ANYTHING!!.

The tea party scene was nuts and should have been warning enough for Jade to see the enormity of Macys crazy.

 photo macy1_zps8qzqhkp8.jpg

I enjoyed getting all the different POV and the fact that we learned more about Bennys back story. We find out what makes Benny the psycho that he is and boy its a crazy sad and disgusting story. Having Dillion back was not so bad either ;)

I will admit that I am odds with my feelings over this book, I loved the first 60% and then it just all seemed a little rushed and messy. I really enjoyed the overall story and would still highly recommend the series for the lovers of dark twisted stories.

I have to also give props to the authors for the last page!! Crazy, whether its meant to be read as a coincidence or its the start of something else your guess is as good as mine.

When I started this series I was expecting a really dark story that was more than a little twisted. Then once I got into it more I realized that it wasn't as dark as I originally thought it would be. But then I got a few chapters in and realized that it may not be dark but it was certainly a twisted thriller that I wasn't expecting. I ended up loving these books for being so suspenseful and for being able to drag me into this crazy world.

I loved Jade and her ability to be so tough but still had a vulnerability about her that made her easy to relate to. She fought so hard to not go back to that weak girl that Benny once kept locked away and I really liked that she never lost that fight. Even when she was sure she would never make it out of that cell she refused to back down. I also liked how her character was developed and we got to see her go from this tough cop that kept all her emotions bottled up to this woman that wasn't afraid to share that dark side of herself.

Dillion was just as amazing and I really liked his character and how he didn't run when things got tough. I wasn't sure how his and Jade's relationship would play out but I was very happy with how it all turned out. He was definitely the guy she needed by her side and I loved them together. Especially when they both let lose and their chemistry completely burned up the pages.

This duet was completely crazy, but in the best way possible. It had me on the edge of my seat with this angst filled insanity and I couldn't get enough of it. The mysteries that were revealed in it were not ones that I saw coming and I loved that it had me gasping out loud multiple times. If you're a fan of the suspense and thrillers than this is definitely the book for you.

Benny finally has his Dirty Doll back home where she belongs, but she isn't the innocent weak child he remembers. Told in three POV (Jade, Dillion, and Benny) we start to get a deeper understanding of what makes Benny tick.

Jade is back in her nightmare, but this time she is going to end Benny and save her sister once and for all. Time may be running out though and with deceptions and twists coming at you from every direction, book two grabs you by the throat and will leave you gasping for breath...

description

I finished book one and IMMEDIATELY had to start this one. The gritty darkness and suspense continued in this book and kept this reader on the edge of her seat the whole book. This one was BRUTAL, no if, and's or buts about it. I was cringing, and reading with one eye closed a lot of the time. *lol*

In this second book, we are treated to Benny's POV and start to get to see (through flashbacks) what shaped him into the twisted fuck he is today. I'll admit it. These authors managed to make me feel for this guy. We also get Jade's and Dillion's POVs. I continued to enjoy both of these characters. Dillion (as I said in my book one review) is the perfect other half to Jade. And Jade remains her strong and resilient self. If there was ONE thing I do wish we had gotten more of, it would be Macy. I REALLY wanted to know more about what SHE went through when Jade escaped that turned her into what she became.

Overall though this one was just as fantastic as book one. With more twists, and betrayals. An action packed page turner that as a dark romance lover was simply a treat to experience.

Type: Book 2 of 2 from Pretty Stolen Dolls series
POV: First Person - Multiple
Rating:

Jade Phillips' nightmare from years before thrust back into her life, threatening to take her down the path she rather forget. As a police detective, she thought she was more prepared this time around. But she never realized she had much more to lose until it was too late.

I have been dying for the conclusion of this story since the moment I read the last word on book 1. I am so glad this book lived up to my expectations.

“I’m not crazy, dirty doll.” I lift my eyebrows at her. “Granted, I’m not what most would call normal either, but normal is like beauty—all in the eye of the beholder, right?”

Benny, Benny, Benny... What else can I say about him, other than I love this sick fuck with all my nonexistent heart and black soul? Haha! I love how we get to learn about his past and I do understand his psyche and rationale which made me feel most connected to him than any other characters.

Only Benny can make me hate myself this much. I fight my own thoughts—self-hatred bowing to the greedy need for carnal pleasure.

I like Jade too but mostly because of her vulnerability. I like seeing how far she would go and how much she'd be willing to sacrifice.

The story is deviously darker than book 1. I like the direction it took even though some elements were predictable.

Pretty Lost Dolls is a fast pace, thrilling conclusion to the series. The series would appeal to fans of dark thriller.

Note 1:
I've always been #TeamBenny from the beginning, but I need to add one more - #TeamMacy :p

Note 2:
Since I love Benny so much, I wrote an Ode to Benny lol!
warhawke had a boy dolly who was sick, sick, sick
She loved him so much it made her knees weak, weak, weak
He's allowed to do things that made him grunt, grunt, grunt
So he will never feel the need to run, run, run

"Love is a savage beast trapped within me, thickening, and savoring its desire laid out before it."

Jade Phillip find herself in the same place as eight years ago; it was like dejavu all over again; Only this time she was smarter and stronger and she was bound to take his capture down. The nightmares of her past keeps hunting her though and regret of leaving her sister behind blinds her to see clear what really is happening.

Benny; oh boy what can I say about him. I found myself conflicted; hoping to save him while in my mind I already knew it wouldn't happen but I could just hope for the best. His mind was so messed up; his childhood ugh I just can't even think straight thinking about what he had to endure and made him the way he was. I wanted justice for him but at the same time I wanted him to pay. The emotional roller-coaster that this book delivers is incredible.

"Normal is like beauty-all in the eye of the beholder."

This second and last installment of the series was fantastic. I loved reading different POV's; I felt it gave readers an inside of what was happening in their minds and it took this reading journey to a new level of awesomeness.

This book is again full of suspense and is very intense, I love that obviously. I did was hoping there were more twists though; however I found this was more of a thriller than a mystery as I found myself guessing some of the clues. That still didn't stop me from enjoying this ride. The way the authors pulled this book together till the end was fantastic. And as far as the ending goes (no comment) because I truly thought it was genius. Would Benny find his way to Jane's heart? Would Jane's sister finds herself back again or is she truly lost? Would Jane be free of this nightmare and find her HEA? So many questions but look no more this books has all the answers OK most of the answers. If you enjoyed the thrilled of a broken lost man looking for his broken doll you will find this book appealing and will enjoy the ride as much as I did.

OMG so sick, twisted with just the right amount of bloodshed. Yes tears were spilled can't even say there was a dull moment because there were none. Suspense kept me turning the page, heartache and worry for the characters made me white knuckle the chair. Add in the mind blowing fuckery ending ugh I'm sure nothing else will compare! Five stars....chilling as ever.

Dammit, I loved these characters--bad and good alike! The dialogues, the suspense, the gruesome nature of the characters, and the thrill of the read kept me locked into this story! Wretched Benny is the dirtiest doll ever!

I laughed a lot while reading this book, despite the twisted darkness dripping from almost every page of this story. It was Benny. His words, his thought process, his detestable devotion to filth--all of it was well written! The irony running through ALL of Benny's words had me smiling ridiculously large! He referred to Bo as Stupid Little Doll, Macy as a messy little doll/ Broken Little Doll, and Jade as Dirty Little Doll, but the truth was that Benny was the Sickest Little Doll and he was hella entertaining!

Benny's one of those characters you love to hate and I loved every moment of hating him! Finally getting a panoramic view of his childhood up to the point where he was a full-fledged maniac was heart-breaking to read, though. He was a byproduct of circumstances and never stood a chance of becoming anything less than a depraved individual.

The dialogue at the end between Jade and Dillon became overtly sweet, but the last page of this book with that suggestive ending, though....

Speechless. Absolutely speechless!! This book, god this book, I think I experienced every fricken emotion man has created and I created a couple more emotions on top of it. The first book was gory and sick, this book, worse. So many times I was like

The writing is completely captivating. It's done so brilliantly, sucks you into this sick sick sick story. I love to read, love to escape into another world, in these books these authors have created a book that I got completely and utterly lost in. The darkness consumed me.

But let me say this, out of all that darkness came such a beautiful and stunning love. A dark story that ends ideally and left me feeling dazzled and brought me into the light.

Wow!!! This second book in the "Pretty Stolen Dolls" duo was awesome!!! Very gruesome and disturbing at times; but I expected that considering we were brought back to Benny's world!! Holy Hell what a world that is. Benny is no longer alone in his depravity either....but....I don't want to give anything away!! If you are looking for a dark read that will have you on the edge of your seat....and discovering new secrets and twists...then look no further; you need to read this duo!

I am sad it is over, and all I can hope for is that Ker Dukey and her writing partner for this project; K. Webster will decide to write something else together soon! I think they make a brilliant pair, and I will one click anything they decide to create!!!

Benny’s found his doll, and he’s full of glee, glee, glee.
I need to read this book before I pee, pee, pee!
**ARC offered in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much Ker Dukey and K Webster! :)

OMG, that ending! Cue the shivers and the creepy-assed music...

"Jesus Christ, these people act like they’ve never seen blood before."

Benny got his dolly he was pleased, pleased, pleased.
The dirty little dolly who had teased, teased, teased.
But she wasn’t his frail dolly, she was a fighter, fighter, fighter.
She had someone to live for, so much brighter, brighter, brighter.
Benny was determined to never let her go, go, go.
Her love for him will come and it will grow, grow, grow.
He tells her of his past and it is bad, bad, bad.
Poor little Benny, he is sad, sad, sad.
Dillon is determined to get her back, back, back.
Even if it means he gets the sack, sack, sack.
But Benny is determined, he shouts, “mine, mine, mine!”
The love he has for Jade will last for all time, time, time.
Jade doesn’t return it, she must be sick, sick, sick.
He needs to think of something, and think it quick, quick, quick.
I can’t say much more as it will give it away, away, away.
But there is one more thing that I will say, say, say.
This book will make you hyper, and you’ll sweat, sweat, sweat.
Definitely one to one-click, you won’t regret, regret, regret.

Pretty Lost Dolls picked up right where Pretty Stolen Dolls left off. Jade is being held captive by Benny and Dillon is moving Heaven and Earth to find them.

In my opinion, this books was a bit darker than the first one. Not only because of its mindfckery and its twists, turns and reveals, but because we got Benny's POV. Damn, but he was one messed up dude. I honestly felt a twinge of sympathy for him when I read his backstory.

I may have been free from my cell, but I'd always be caged inside the walls of my mind - where he's still the master.

I'm in love with Jade and Dillon as a couple. She's badass and he's all Alpha hot. They were such a perfect match for each other and Jade had finally found someone she could envision a future with. So despite the high blood pressure, anxiety, stress and fear I experienced while reading this story, these two faced everything with courage despite their losses.

"This is forever, babe," he murmurs against my mouth. "You were lost, but I fcking found you and I'm never losing you again."

This story has a lot of darkness, depravity, secrets, hope, love and some revenge. The end was brilliant if a little freaky but I expected nothing less from these authors. I'd say this duet was an absolute success and I hope to see Ker Dukey and K. Webster collaborate on another project in the future.

Shit got real! Not kidding. After book one I was in a whirlwind of what could possibly happen next and the things I didn't expect happened. Benny is a man who is sick, sick, sick. This was evil, intense, chaotic, creepy, gory and crazy but it was so entertaining and good! I don't know if I'll ever look at dolls the same way again. Not after being on this journey.

Pretty Lost Dolls picks up right where Pretty Stolen Dolls left off. Jade has been once again captured by Benny and she's back in the sick, twisted hell. From the first pages I was sucked in. Questions clouded my mind but I loved that all of my questions were answered! It was nice going into the mind of psycho Benny and getting a look into his past and seeing why he became such a monster.

I was on the edge of my seat. This story is thrilling, action-packed, bloody, gripping, it's dark and it's not for the faint-hearted. With every page I turned there was never a dull moment. If you like dark, suspenseful, erotic, wicked reads then I highly recommend this one!

5+++ dark stars

A-FUCKING-MAZING. No joke. Amazing. It's definitely at the top of my favorite book 'sequels' list.

The book starts off where Pretty Stolen Dolls left off. Jade is now Benny's prisoner, again. Only this time, she's no longer the scared little girl she was during her first stay. She's a tough cop who is now an equal match for Benny and his psychotic games. But let me tell you, Benny is none too happy with his dirty little doll.

"She. Fucking. Left. Me. And for that, she would pay. She didn't know it yet, but she was always just a guest in that place she called home. This is where she belongs- here. The cell is her home. She just needs reminding of that fact." -Benny

In this book, we finally get Benny's backstory. You get to read, in detail, all about what made him the way he is. And oh my goodness, it is truly devastating and soooo fucking creepy.

And Dillon. OMG DILLON. I LOVED Dillon in this one. He loses some of the hard-ass persona he had in the previous book, and we see just how much he truly cares for Jade. Swoon-worthy alpha male to the extreme!

And that ending...
description
I think I re-read that last page a good 4-5 times before I was finally able to put my kindle down and begin one of the biggest book hangovers of my life. Yes, the ending (and the whole book for that matter) is that shocking and disturbing and fucking amazing- all at the same time!

Ker Dukey and K. Webster outdid themselves AGAIN with this one. These two have proven themselves to be the Queens of the dark romance genre!

The timeline in Pretty Lost Dolls continues in succession with Jade caught in Benny’s dark world. For eight years, Jade hunted Benny while the entire time Benny also kept track of his pretty little doll, but Jade is no longer a fourteen year old girl and she is ready to reclaim her power. Even with her police training and yearning for justice, Jade is not prepared for what she encounters.

“I’m about to turn her world upside down, shake out everything she so desperately clings to, and fill up every single part of her…with me.”

Benny’s world is finally realigned with the return of his dirty little doll, as Jade seems to be a salve to Benny’s depraved and lonely soul. While he is prepared to punish his doll for losing so many years with her, Benny also starts to show a tender and even more complicated side as he reveals his past.

“There’s a real fine line between love and hate, and I like that you border there. It makes you taste sweeter. Make no mistake who you belong to.”

Pretty Lost Dolls delves into Benny’s character and how his past shaped him and offered answers to Benny’s life. While his past doesn’t excuse Benny’s actions, it provides a solid reason for how he became the way he is. Additionally, I liked how Benny and Macy’s development offered a parallel digression. Although Benny imposed certain moral limitations upon his behavior, they both rejected boundaries when it came to their versions of love. Both having been influenced by wickedness at young ages, it was interesting to read about their descent into darkness.

“I do know the difference between right and wrong, but I just like the way wrong feels.”

With plot twists and action leading to an ultimate finale, Jade and Dillon reach a point neither could have imagined. Jade proved to be a fierce character capable of compassion and trust. Dillon was such a sexy and loyal detective. As a side note, I also loved how he is a friend of a certain other detective from another series by Ker Dukey.

This second and final book offers dimension to the main characters and takes the plot full circle. The collaborative writing team of these authors felt natural and the storytelling flowed well. For me, the darker progression into Benny’s world was outstanding and I kept craving more of his POV. There were a few elements that felt a bit predictable, but with the tone of this book, the introspection proved to be more valuable than an absolutely unexpected twist.

This series is thrilling and is a journey into the disturbed mind of a lost little doll. I highly recommend!!

Overall Opinion: This was a good ending to the duet. I appreciated how the story kept me sucked in and there was never a dull moment. Would I have liked more time with the h and H actually together? Yes. But that's just not the type of story this is. I would recommend this duet to anyone that likes the darker and more graphic romance books, because I think this was well done 👍🏻

Brief Summary of the Storyline: Again, I'll keep this vague in hopes of not ruining it. This is Jade's story. She is still trying to save her sister while dealing with the psychopath, Benny's, obsession with her. There is a lot of violence, a few sexy and sweet times, some big reveals...and she gets a HEA.

POV: This alternated between the h and H's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well.

Instalove: No, they've already developed feelings by the time this book starts.

H rating: 4 stars. He was an awesome support system for the h, and I appreciated how much he cared for her.

h rating: 4 stars. Jade. I appreciated how she was strong, but also allowed herself to fall apart when needed and supported by the H.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: No

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW/OM drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: Yes

Cheating: Not IMO

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This had a jump ahead epilogue and a HEA ending imo .

How I got it: I got it with my kindle unlimited subscription.

Safety: This one is probably Not Safe for most safety gang readers

So, it wasn't as gripping as the first one.

The magic of reading a first book for me is always the feeling of not knowing what's going to happen, and where the story would go. First book in any kind of series always usually a benchmark for any kind of potential sequels. In this one, the plot is pretty straightforward, the twists were there but you're clever enough to grasp who's who and all.

But that doesn't mean it's not dark as shit. It was so depressing at one point for me, that I needed to stop reading for a bit.

By the end of the book, I was exhausted and drained. So yeah, I think this is it for me and dark romance for awhile. I need some sunshine.

A dark, deadly, sinful addictive read that had me on the edge of my seat. Pretty Lost Dolls was everything and more I expected from Ker Dukey & K. Webster. If I thought this installment couldn’t get any more sinister and crazy, well it did. Yes, it was bloody, gory, crazy, and pardon my language fucking insane. I guess it’s safe to say these two will have your slightly creeped out as to how far they will push the boundaries of sanity and yet I was intoxicated with Benny’s past and his need for his dirty doll. So if you are looking for a story that was disturbing, thrilling, and suspenseful then look no further than this book.

P.S. I kinda liked Benny. Weird I know but the way the authors wrote about his past made me slightly feel bad for the guy and yet disturbed.

Well, I'll be!! What a great second book. It's just as dark, gritty, crazy and suspenseful as the first one. Ker Dukey and K. Webster sure know how to write together. Book 2 picks up where book 1 left off.

We still have our crazy and obsessed Benny. I actually liked him, most of the time.

3* run, run, run STARS!

Review @ Midnight Romance
I may have been free from my cell, but I’d always be caged inside the walls of my mind—where he’s still the master.

Pretty Stollen Dolls really left me speechless. I have no words for this wicked authors. They're really brought all the crazy feelings for this story. Some of us maybe afraid of dolls; especially with porcelain dolls. Creepy yet intriguing. But this dolls are alive. Let's jump on Benny's crazy train!

description

✔ Once upon a time, there was a lost doll who finally escape from the nightmare by her master. Jade is a survivor but she's still looking for Benny, her captor. He have her little sister, Macy but something just didn't feel right. Hunt or be hunted. Which one is the predator and the prey? Jade can only hope Dillon has enough time to save her.
Benny may have captured little Jade when she was just fourteen.
Naïve and so damn stupid.
But this time…
Benny doesn’t have little Jade.
He has Detective Jade Phillips.
The department’s most ruthless cop.
A bitch.
A rumored dike.
A fucking nightmare.

✔ The story told from multiple POVs between Benny, Jade and Dillon. Why oh why... the villain always has two steps ahead. I have no idea. Benny has found his lost doll and brought her back. Jade is belong to him and he loves her in his sick way. There is no words for Benny's total obsession with Jade until this moment.

✔ But this time, Jade 'succeed' invade Benny's mind about his past. Slowly Benny revealed some of his memories. It was horrible and gut-wrenching. The pain he endured when he was a child turns him into a mad man. Benny really has twisted mind with his obsession for perfect doll.
“I’m not crazy, dirty doll... Granted, I’m not what most would call normal either, but normal is like beauty—all in the eye of the beholder, right?”

description

✔ Between Jade and Benny, there is another sick person. Surprise surprise! Even Jade has develop into strong and hard-ass character, she's still in denial that Macy isn't her little sister anymore. Jade was blindsided with the urges to help her. Sadly, Macy already poisoned by her own obsession to be Benny's perfect doll but he chose Jade since the beginning. Well, two lunatics aren't enough?

description

✔ Dillon was really amazing person. He's working his ass off to search Jade and Benny. He deserved my two thumbs up. I just simply liked him. But unfortunately, I couldn't feel any romantic chemistry between him and Jade. They're just in love in 'hopeless' situation but really deserved each other.

✔ Goddamn! Every chapter gave me goosebumps. I really enjoyed this crazy ride but there are some issues that didn't work for me. I felt disconnect with the characters in the end. Moreover, Jade and Dillon didn't left huge impression for me. Also I lost interest with some coincidence events that makes it less intriguing. However, I was glad this isn't stockholm syndrome kind of romance. This book could be turn into a movie with dark and twisted feeling. *Evans Peters is my top choice for Benny with his boyish look and deranged mind*

"Panicked and panting. Lost and confused. So perfect. Perfect little doll."

First of all, I didn't even know that there would be a sequel until I finished reading Pretty Stolen Dolls. But I was VERY excited about it because the story couldn't be told in just one book. My biggest book pet peeve is authors rushing through the story, because it is and feels unfinished. Fortunately that was not the case for the Pretty Stolen Dolls Duet. Ker and K. really took their time to tell the story and didn't skip anything.

I especially LOVED the Benny flashbacks, it really gave a great insight into why he is the way he is. Only Ker Dukey and K. Webster are able to make me feel bad for twisted, messed up and psychotic killers. I just have a thing for villains, I think I need some therapy! I am a big fan of dark romance and suspenseful novels and this book was a perfect combination of the two. I did not know what to expect, but I just had faith that the authors wouldn't let me down. There were so many intriguing characters in this book and the small mystery aspect was very entertaining as well. However there were also a couple of heartbreaking and very dark scenes.

The writing was easy to read and the pace was perfect. Like always they hit me with a plot twist that was very cleverly done. It added another layer to the story and gave the story an extra boost. I just couldn't get enough of Jade, Dillon and Benny. Especially with K. Webster's books, I always end up wanting more. As for the ending, it was PERFECT! It was exactly how I wanted it to go and it made me very excited. They really delivered with this series, so I recommend you to pick this series up!
