Bobby Fishman è disperato e tenta il suicidio per annegamento. A salvarlo però interviene Todd Patrick che asserisce di essere il fidanzato della sorella di Bobby, Kathleen. Ma Kathleen è morta ormai da dieci anni. Da questo incontro comincia un'avventura che condurrà i due amici alla scoperta di molti fatti riguardanti la fantomatica fidanzata di Todd. Un romanzo che vi terrà incollati alle pagine che ho avuto l'immenso piacere di tradurre in italiano.
