Delta Force Heroes #1-1.5, 2-3

Delta Force Heroes Box Set One

Rate this book
Start out the New York Times Bestselling Delta Force Heroes series with the first four books all in one giant collection!

Rescuing Rayne: As a flight attendant, Rayne Jackson is used to cancellations, but she never dreamed her latest would lead to a whirlwind tour of London with a handsome stranger…or a life-altering night in his bed. One evening is all the enigmatic man can give her, and Rayne greedily takes it, despite suspecting it will never be enough.

Heading home after another extreme mission, Keane "Ghost" Bryson hadn't planned to seduce someone during his layover, but Rayne is too sweet to resist. Being a Delta Force member means lying to protect his identity, which is unfortunate, considering Rayne seems made for Ghost, right down to the tattoo on her back. For the first time in his life, regret fills him as he slips away the following morning.

Both are shocked when, months later, they meet again—under the worst possible circumstances. Seems fate has given them a second chance…if they can survive the terrorist situation they're in.

Rescuing Aimee:
Aimee O’Brien has harbored a not-so-little crush on her school’s new first-grade teacher since the beginning of the year. Tall, muscled, with long hair and a beard, and a penchant for wearing silly ties to amuse his student. No one is more surprised than Aimee when Tony makes his interest clear.

Tony Santoro’s time in the military directly influenced his new choice of career—and his choice in women. He’s looking for someone of substance, and Aimee has far more to offer than just her adorably disheveled look. He can’t wait to see what’s hiding under those sweatpants and tees—but he might have missed his chance. The very day he finally works up the nerve to ask Aimee out, is the day unspeakable violence explodes in the school.

Trapped in the gym, Aimee and Tony will have to work together to get out with their lives…and the lives of the dozens of students trapped with them.

Rescuing Emily:
Renting out the apartment over his garage shouldn’t be a life-changing decision, but when Delta soldier Cormac “Fletch” Fletcher meets Emily Grant, he feels an instant connection. He can’t stand the thought of Emily and her young daughter living anywhere unsafe. Offering cheap rent is a small price to pay for their safety…and Fletch’s peace of mind.

Being a single mother is difficult at best, but renting the extremely affordable space from Fletch makes Emily’s life a lot easier…until it doesn’t. Suddenly all the money she’s saving thanks to Fletch’s generosity is going into the hands of a blackmailer.

When miscommunication has Emily assuming Fletch is in on the blackmail, he not only has to gain her trust, but also deal with a man holding a grudge against Fletch and his entire Delta Force team. A task made more difficult when the dangerous man gets his hands on Emily and Annie...

Rescuing Harley:
Video game coder, Harley Kelso, thought a tandem skydive would help her make her latest game more realistic. Instead, it literally put her in the arms of the sexiest man she’s ever seen. Geeky to the core, Harley is the polar opposite of big and burly Beckett, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting to play more carnal games with the sexy soldier.

When Beckett “Coach” Ralston offers to fill-in at a friend’s skydiving club, he doesn’t suspect he’ll meet a woman who will change his life—and he definitely doesn’t expect her to save it. But that’s exactly what happens when an accident mid-air forces Harley to land them both safely.

I had already read Rescuing Rayne, the 1st book in this boxed set and the 1st in the Delta Force Heroes series, before I found this boxed set. But the boxed set was still a significant savings over buying the rest of the books individually, while also providing a novella that I don't think can be purchased alone.

All of the books in this boxed set do a good job of describing dangerous situations, and the camaraderie and support the military teams provide for each other. I like that they consider their team to be brothers, and automatically add any significant others (as well as their children, relatives, and even friends) to the team "family". I like that this series also features characters from the SEAL of Protection series. Here is my review of all the books in this boxed set.

Rescuing Rayne -- 4 stars. This is a good start to the Delta Force Heroes series. Ghost and Rayne are mostly likable, but I did get a bit annoyed with Ghost a few times. He was so sure that his career meant he shouldn't have a serious relationship, but he didn't bother to check with Rayne before leaving her. I get that his career was dangerous, but Rayne deserved the choice of whether she could handle it. I do think that Rayne would have been a little more traumatized by her ordeal than she was, because what she went thru was horrible.

Rescuing Aimee -- 3 stars. This novella is a good addition to the Delta Force Heroes series, but the main couple was not in the 1st book, and I don't remember them in the SEAL of Protection series -- so I'm a little unsure why their story was included in this boxed set. Tony and Aimee are likable, and make a good couple. Their story was believable because of the mass shootings that have been in the news lately, but I did think it was a bit unlikely that Aimee would have been able to read Tony's non-verbal signals as well as she did. Their story did need to be a little longer, though, to allow for as much character development as I like.

Rescuing Emily -- 4 stars. This is a good addition to the Delta Force Heroes series. Fletch and Emily are likable, and her daughter Annie is just adorable. Annie alone is a good enough character to give this book a 4-star rating. I did wish that Emily would just talk to Fletch a few times, since that would have solved their problems much quicker -- but I get that her history with Annie's father made her more likely to believe the lies she was told about Fletch.

Rescuing Harley -- 4.5 stars. This is a good addition to the Delta Force Heroes series. Coach and Harley are likable, and make a good couple. So far, Coach is my favorite of the men in this series. He was such a great boyfriend -- supportive and protective, but happy for Harley to be independent. I also liked that they didn't have sex immediately, but took the time to get to know each other first.

Overall, I really enjoyed this set of books, and have already started reading the next one in the Delta Force Heroes series. My rating for the boxed set is 4 stars.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

A great box set of The Delta Force Team and their women😍

This boxset contains the first four books in the Delta Force Heroes series, Rescuing Rayne is book one and features Ghost and Rayne who meet in London when their flight to the US is cancelled due to weather. Months later they meet again but in very unexpected circumstance❣️

Assisting Aimee is the next book but this is a novella and features Aimee a PE school teacher with Tony, a retired Delta soldier who is now working as a Elementary school teacher and this is also where we meet Annie briefly for the first time😀

The next story is Rescuing Emily and is the story of Emily, who is the single mother of Annie and how she secures a rental apartment with Fletch over his garage. However, some soldiers have it out for Fletch’s team and Emily becomes the victim of their devious plan to get back at the Deltas😢

And finally, we have Rescuing Harley who decides on a whim to go skydiving in the hopes it will help with her video game coding. This is where she meets Coach, the man who changes her life and the one she saves when a rare and unexpected accident occurs during their jump😳

Yes, Please!
In the world of pure testosterone, alpha heroes with that White Knight protective gene, Susan Stoker reigns supreme. This collection is a wonderful addition to her already voluminous library. But it seems we just can't get enough. If you're into the strong, uber-protective, hero type (guilty as charged), then these are can't-miss stories.

This book contains the first four books in the Delta Force Heroes saga, and they are ALL magnificent. I can't even pick a favorite of the bunch. Even though there is a definite formula that is followed, it doesn't matter. Each story, each man, each conflict is unique and spell-binding. The narration of Stella Bloom is perfect as well. If this is a genre that makes you curl your toes, then this collection is a must read!

Wow

What a great set of four stories. Gripped you from the first word till the last.
Each having a rescue that kept you reading and gripped waiting to see how it plays out. Great sense of non blood family and a bond so strong.
Just loved the start to this series and can’t wait to continue.
Narration was awesome too.

This box set is a joy, strong women and men. You will find the women , even though seem less stronger than the Alpha males, always win the day. Strength and honour and friendships, are the key to Susan Stoker books

I really enjoy all of your books and how they connect with Riley Edwards. There’s only one thing that bothers me. The Army has posts. The Air z Force and Navy are based. I guess it’s not pertinent to the plot, but I just thought you should know.

I have read this series before, but started a re-read of Susan Stoker, beginning with Wolf and his seal brothers. I was pleased to see the box set, only wishing there were more of them. All are still enjoyable.

I love this series! And I find myself reading it when I need a reminder that there are good things and great people all around. The books are a little steamy (closer to an R rating than a PG13), but not in a bad way.
