Alyssa Mayley is a U.S. Army veteran and the children's book author and illustrator of WHITE ELEPHANT SURPRISE and ARCANE ADVENTURES. She is a self-described fantasy booknerd with a love for the ocean and the color blue.

Alyssa's work has also appeared in various publications, including Reader's Digest, Tuscarawas County Bargain Hunter, and an award-winning story in the 2014-2015 Akron-Wayne College Regional Writing Awards.

ARCANE ADVENTURES Middle Grade Stories and Poems by Alyssa Mayley does just that. This is a lovely book about making choices. After reading the book, young readers might think twice about the choices they make. Recommended for middle-grade readers and schools and libraries. Happy Reading
