Rin -- My mom died when I was little, and my dad followed when I was fifteen. My half-brother, the nastiest human being I’ve ever met, convinced the state to grant him custody. More likely he bribed people. My life has been hell since then. Every time I try to run, he finds me, tortures me, and makes sure I toe the line. This time will be different. I’m asking the Dixie Reapers for help. If they turn me away, I’m as good as dead, but even that’s preferable to what my half-brother has planned for me next.

I didn’t count on the sexy man with the dark, brooding eyes. The man who defended me only seconds after laying eyes on me. The man who makes me want things I’ve never wanted before. I knew better than to sleep with him, knew I wasn’t good enough. When he rejects me, I run. Discovering several weeks later that he left a little part of himself inside me is even more terrifying than my half-brother finding me.

Wraith -- I’m not the settling-down type. Maybe once upon a time, but not anymore. While I was serving overseas, my sister was left for dead in a gutter. I failed her. Failed my parents, who made me promise to protect her before they breathed their last. Now I’m faced with Rin, the strongest, most beautiful woman I’ve ever met. She needs a protector, and I’ll gladly be that for her. I want her. Want to keep her and make her mine. I’ve fucked my share of women over the years, but I’ve never made love to one. Until Rin. But I’m no good for her, or anyone else. She thinks she’s not worthy of me, but it’s the other way around.

Then she runs and I feel like a piece of my soul has been ripped out. Finding her won’t be easy, but I won’t stop until she’s back in my home, in my bed. And I’ll make sure that every asshole who ever laid a hand on her is buried six feet under or rotting in prison. No one will ever hurt her again.

It never occurred to me that I would be the asshole to hurt her. I stopped believing in Christmas miracles a long time ago, but now I really need one. I need Rin back, and I’ll do anything to make her mine.

Warning: Bondage. Spanking. Anal sex. Over the top, melt your e-reader, make your panties wet sex. If you don’t like those things, this book probably isn’t for you.

Harley Wylde is the International Bestselling Author of the Dixie Reapers MC, Devil's Boneyard MC, and Hades Abyss MC series.

When Harley's writing, her motto is the hotter the better -- off the charts sex, commanding men, and the women who can't deny them. If you want men who talk dirty, are sexy as hell, and take what they want, then you've come to the right place. She doesn't shy away from the dangers and nastiness in the world, bringing those realities to the pages of her books, but always gives her characters a happily-ever-after and makes sure the bad guys get what they deserve.

The times Harley isn't writing, she's thinking up naughty things to do to her husband, drinking copious amounts of Starbucks, and reading. She loves to read and devours a book a day, sometimes more. She's also fond of TV shows and movies from the 1980's, as well as paranormal shows from the 1990's to today, even though she'd much rather be reading or writing.

DNF Was ok with almost everything until after she was rescued after a car accident where her brother's brains (half brother, I'm sorry) were still on Wraith and she is eager for Bondage shit?? Really. That it's some nasty thing to write after all this girl has had in life. I quit reading. My stomach was roiling. This girl has had enough (&,is pregnant) and could use a lot of counseling. This author thinks we agree to her kneeling a in front of a guy after she's been kidnapped and chased down by rapists.
No! I'm blocking your author names!!!

A Rabid Wraith

Harley Wylde Dixie Reapers bk 08 Wraith

4.5 stars - Rin Banner and Will "Wraith" each have a TON of baggage, but I really like them together. Yes, he seems to have more than her, and he's a bit of a numbskull, but I still like them as a couple.

When the cards are down, like really, truly down, and he finally mans up, I love how he goes completely rabid. He tears up the town and anyone in his way. It's kind of hot.

Oh, and that last Church meeting was epic! I was laughing so hard for a good portion of it. Just. Plain. Awesome! The setup for Tank... well, that's just gonna rock, I can tell.

I love the crossovers with several other MCs and how they all interact and support each other. I look forward to one day reading or listening to their stories.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is Umi Markkanen. I've listened to her numerous times, and continue to enjoy her narrating.

WOW! Just WOW!
First off I have to say Wraith is not my favorite character. I still absolutely love this series, I just don't like Wraith and no matter what he did I don't think he could redeem himself. Rin is a beautiful young woman who has been dragged into hell by her half-brother Joe Banner who happens to be a pimp, among other things and was tortured by him and many others. They violated her and did unimaginable things to her and she survived long enough to finally escape and she showed up at the Dixie Reaper's MC clubhouse looking for the twins Johnnie and Kayla who happen to be from her neighborhood and they know who her half-brother is and what he does. The whole club does. So when Rin shows up asking for help Wraith steps up to protect her but won't claim her. The first night in his house she shows him her scars all over her body. She talks him into having sex with her and he doesn't even think twice about it. I mean this woman has been sold to men for years and has just escaped her worse nightmare and wants to be held by a man not wanting to hurt her and he easily gives into her and has all out pu*sy pounding sex. Rin is extremely insecure and thinks she's not good enough for any man other than being a whore. She sees herself as broken and she doesn't want to be a burden to anyone. She's constantly thinking she should just leave and try to make it on her own. She escaped from her half-brother before and the consequences were so severe she'll have reminders for the rest of her life. Wraith falls for her but in order for her to stay she jas to be claimed by someone. Rin is hoping it's Wraith because she trusts him but even after all the club thinks he should he flat out refuses. When Rin finds out she thinks she's right in her feelings of not being good enough for anyone, it broke her heart even more if that was possible. It was so heartbreaking I could just picture this small pixie of a woman in my mind with a devastated look on her face. As the story goes on Wraith starts to regret his actions toward Rin but not for the screaming hot sex they had. Later on it comes out what happened to Wraith's sister while he was in the service and I literally cried. My mom saw me and asked what was wrong, when I told her about that part of the story she started crying too. Lol. At times Harley's writing makes me feel like I'm watching a movie not reading a book. The suspense at times is so intense waiting to find out if and when Joe was gonna come for Rin. Even though the story has a hea I still don't like Wraith. Lol. Johnnie has a surprise for to also. I can't wait for his book. I extremely recommend this series to everyone.

Rin has had the worst life. Her father died when she was young. What she hoped would be a kind offer from her half-brother, Joe was to be used and sold. Her life was in such bad shape. He was planning on selling her to a brothel. She needed to run and find someone that would keep her safe, the Dixie Reapers. Wraith saw Rin and saw his sister Elisa. He wasn’t there to save her but he wasn’t about to let harm come to Rin. Her scars were so gut wrenching that he would fight off anyone to protect her.

This one was a bit dark with what happened with Rin. Her half-brother deserves all of what is coming to him. He is a monster. I do understand her thoughts about not feeling like she is worthy or Wraith but these two are both scared in one way or another. They seem to be the other half of each other.

Then there is the side story about Saint. You know he has to be the next story. And we have Janessa, Tex’s daughter. We already know she wants Seamus aka Irish from the Devil’s Boneyard MC. And also, Tank and his interest in Agent Montoya. THAT will be really hot and heavy, I can tell. You have to love that we got to read about Devil’s Boneyard, Devil’s Fury, and Hades Abyss. More MC’s and more possible cross overs. YEAH!

This story blew me away from the very first words I read. Rin is a true survivor. After losing her parents her half brother was granted custody of her and he is using her in the worst way. Now he has even worst plans for her and she knows she needs help to get away. So she turns to the Dixie Reapers for their protection. It is near Christmas and Rin is on the run.

The Dixie Reapers do help her and that’s where she meets a talk dark haired hero in her eyes Wraith. Wraith is a hard man he has a dark side and had some tragedies in his life. Wraith was also part of the military which also helped harden him up.
Poor Rin thinks she is not good enough for Wraith so when things get out of hand between these two Rin disappears and Wraith realizes he may have made the worst mistake of his life she took a piece of him with her.

So of course he has to find her and get her back. These two the biggest issue was them both not thinking they were good enough for the other. There was some drama but it was solved quickly and the story did wrap up nicely.

Wraith and Rin's story is a rough one in terms of their pasts. As usual, Harley Wylde lets us know what her characters have gone through without all the hard to take details. Rin's past has left scars mentally and physically. Her half brother took custody of her when their father died and has used her horribly. They both feel a connection but neither feel worthy of a relationship. Wraith wants to hook up with her for a while after a night together but doesn't want permanent. Wraith doesn't handle the pressure of his club to claim her at all well. He takes off for a ride and when he returns Rin is gone. Torch has put her in hiding for her safety as they try to catch her half brother but refuses to tell Wraith where she is. When he discovers her hiding place, he heads out to get her. But will he be able to convince her that he is ready to be her man? This one was a rough one, Rin has gone through so much and Wraith is a bit stubborn. He redeems himself and it makes their happy ending that much sweeter. Love these MC boys!

Rin is all alone in the world except for a psycho half brother who means her harm in the worst way possible. Her only hope is that the Dixie Reapers can help her and if they can't, then she's not going to last long with her half brother gunning for her. Wraith lost his sister and when he sees Rin, he immediately knows this is his chance for redemption by protecting Rin. What he didn't expect was for them to have one night alone. He can't admit to himself that he's had growing feelings towards Rin and when she lays it all out, he denies her and she runs. Rin can't decide what is worse-her half brother wants her dead or worse or Wraith rejecting her because she feels she's not good enough. Things change though when Rin finds that Wraith left a parting gift and Wraith finds out exactly what that is and that he needs to claim Rin but will Rin fall for him twice?

This 8th installment of the Dixie Reapers by Harley Wylde is a tear jerker for sure but it is sooo good.

Rin is a survivor. Everyone reacts to abuse and the horrors in life in their own way. Rin did not let it defeat her. She was left in her psycho half-brothers care while growing up. He is a twisted soul who owns a brothel, and is happy to have his sisters make him a profit servicing clients. Rin ran when she found out he planned to sell her to a worse fate. Rin knew Wraith from when they were kids, and is hoping he could protect her. The two have to work through their emotional baggage before they can really be together.

At times Rin’s behavior is not consistent with that of traumatic sexual assault, it is also not out of bounds of the possible. Overall, this was a good story which kept my interest. I have enjoyed every one of the MC series.

I received a free copy of this audiobook, and am voluntarily leaving my review.

2 1/2-3 stars kinda like Cinders book I feel like everyone made Wraith out to be the bad guy when hell he even said he wanted to be with her! Just everyone was forcing him to claim her and that didn’t seem right give people a chance not everyone needs to be claimed in less than a week! But I digress again felt Rin was a little childish and he didn’t get a chance before she “ran away” what’s with that?!? Gosh stop man, you wanna be an adult and do adult things but when stuff doesn’t go your way? Reading other reviews I know I’m the odd man out in this opinion. Liked it up until a point then I skimmed had me for a good while though. Just wasn’t my overall jam as the others of HW have been.

Hmmm..

I have read all of the Dixie Reapers books to date and all the books connected to the Reapers. They seem to be getting darker. My heart broke for Rin and all the trauma and abuse she suffered throughout the book.( I wish the book had some kind of trigger warning). It was was fast paced and there were some surprises i.e Saint. I wish Ms Wylde would go back to the writing like she did with Venom. The book was okay everyone got the happy ending and Wraith ended up saving and getting his girl.

Wraith’s protective instincts kick in when he meets Rin. Rin has been through a lot. One would think she would be hesitant to be with a man, but Wraith makes her feel things that she never has before. Wraith acted like an idiot, he was more of a man that wanted his cake and he wanted to eat it too, until he was pushed to man up. There was some back and forth between them but that just made things a bit more interesting. I have read, loved, and enjoyed this whole series. Can’t wait to read what comes next

Wraith was absolutely amazing. I’ll have to admit there were times were I was ready to jump through my phone on him because he was being stubborn, but at the end he pulled his self together. Rin will forever go down as my favorite h not only did she have an amazing personality after all she had been through but she also did not let that stop her from having a normal relationship with Wraith. She was a trooper for sure and her story honestly makes you want to shed some tears.

Another good book from this series, Rin is being abused by her step-brother and she gets away and runs to the Dixie Reapers club where she meets Wrath and right away they have this chemistry and he wants to protect her from her brother and his friends, not going to say any more for I hate to spoil where and what happens to these 2. love her writing and love hot bikers too that treat their woman with love and respect.

Amazing 5 Stars Worthy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wraith Is an emotional read, what the heroine went through is horrifying but she manage to endure and survive her ordeal. Wraith was a jerk but he redeemed himself at the end, these Dixie Reapers guys are over the top alpha but they will do anything for their women, thank you Harley Wylde for another amazing book, this book definitely deserves more then 5 stars.

Wow I wanted to love this book so much more but wraith was LITERALLY THE WORST. UGH. I hated everything about him. Rin should have ended up with rocket or someone Bc wraith was just a whiny punk ass baby. This book would have been like 1 million stars if it wasn’t for him. My favorite part is when everyone from all four clubs get together and Bangor about sisters. I cannot wait for the other books!!! I love me some HA/DF MC badasses

Wraith and Rin's story is next in the Dixie Reapers MC series. It just keeps getting hotter and hotter. Wraith is your typical Alpha biker with demons from his past and Rin has her own demons, in the form of her half-brother, that she's trying to escape. Can Wraith get his act together to give her a HEA? Or will he allow the things of the past to continue to destroy him. Loved this book and series!! Highly recommend it!

One of the things I love about this author is the men don’t diddle around, they find their one and fight like hell to win her and keep her. Not this one Wraith wanted but didn’t want, then he did but not forever, but he didn’t want anyone else to play with his toy, then he was suddenly all over her then just as suddenly he was gone, running away again, this time not just from her but something extra. She practically begged him to commit to her, talked him into it. Honestly no, just no.

Great book in series

The author changed things up again with Wraith not acting typical of the other books. Do not want to let any info out but when you read it you will know. KInd of sad another tattoo is delayed and not described. I thought that was fun in the other books for them to decide what to give each girl. Loved heroine and liked that it was not just insta forgotten past and she saw a therapist to work things out. Good book ...onward to the next one.

I loved the narration of Umi Markkanen

Rin's father died when she was young. Her half-brother, Joe was planning on selling her to a brothel. She needed to run and find someone that would keep her safe. Step in Wraith from the Dixie Reapers. saw Rin and would fight off anyone to protect her.

Brilliant book, that will have shouting in angry and crying for joy.

I have delved deeply into the MC universe lately and I love, love the narrator who has been bringing these books to life. She has done an amazing job of doing that. She draws you in with the fantastic characters that the author has created and I love the relationships between those in the club and their women. I look forward to more in this series.
