Soul mates always find each other . . .

For twenty-four years, Claire Neeson has been invisible. Ever the nerdy type, boys never spared her a second glance, and the one time one did, she ended up bruised and heartbroken.
After the last member of her family leaves her, she hopes a new life in Galway with her former college roommate might be the fresh start she needs. Falling in love isn’t her plan, especially now that she’s busy building a new life for herself.

That’s when he meets her.

When their worlds collide, David and Claire feel something spark but one minute is all they have before they go their separate ways. They never expected to meet again after that serendipitous encounter, but fate has its own plan . . .

Saved by an angel by Roberta Capizzi
*Contains spoilers*
Have you ever felt like something from your life was missing? Or maybe some one? This book is about that.
David lost his brother/best friend almost two years ago. At the same time his baby sister Kathy was hurt. His family hasn't been the same since the accident. Around six months after Declan's death he started dating Michelle. David is starting to feel the lack in his relationship with Michelle. She's all about her job, has never asked about Declan, and most importantly she can't see that he isn't happy.
Claire lost her twin in an accident when she was eight. Which was the downfall in her family. Her father left and her mother cried herself to sleep every night. Then when she came home after college she found out her mother was sick with cancer and didn't have much time left. After her mother passed Claire wasn't living, she was basically surviving.
Claire moved back to Galway and moved in with her college house mate. She had a job she had no interest in, but it was something that would pay the bills in the mean time. Ciara her roommate convinced her to go out with her one night. That night she fell into the arms of a man, quite literally. One man knocked into her causing another one to catch her. That man being David.
David always had a weakness for redheads but had never dated one . Claire had a natural beauty, didn't dress up to the nines or wear a lot of make up. She was the polar opposite of Michelle. He didn't know her name when he left the bar, but couldn't get her out of his head. A few weeks later he finds her at his job. They both work at the University. They strike up a friendship of sorts.
After a while David broke up with Michelle. Him and Claire share the loss of their loved ones with each other. It makes David want Claire more, but makes Claire back away from him. She doesn't want to be his rebound and doesn't think she's good enough for him. Which is crazy.
Since before David broke up with Michelle he had been having the same nightmare. Every night another little detail becomes clear. After an almost kiss with Claire the full dream comes to light.
"When I kiss you for the first time, Claire Neeson, you’re gonna need paramedics to assist you, ’cause I’ll blow your min."
The dream is basically a premonition of what's to happen. Declan is giving it to him so he can stop it from coming true. Declan in his angel form informs David he needs make sure it doesn't happen. That Claire is his better half and he needs her in his life.
David does save Claire. But they both end up with injuries. While Claire is in a coma she sees her sister, mother, and Declan. She gets closer with her mother and sister and Declan gave her a message for David. Basically that he was sorry for the nightmares but it needed to be done to save her.
When she wakes from her coma she finds out David hasn't left her side. And after that they basically were attached to the hip.
"I haven’t stopped thinking about your lips since I walked out of this room. I don’t care if it won’t be as romantic as I’d planned— I really want to kiss you, Claire. Like, really bad."
I don't want to give too much of this book away, so I will stop now. I will say this does have a HEA but there is quite a bit more to this book that what I mentioned.

This is a book that took me by surprise - “Could love at first sight really exist, then?”

Despite having beautiful red curly hair, Claire Neeson has always considered herself invisible to other people. Instead of trying to make herself visible, she's always preferred to stay in the background, away from attention and within her comfort zone. The loss of her mother prompts Claire to move back to Galway, where she plans to share a house with her former college roommate. Making a fresh start in a place she knows; finding love isn't part of her plans to re-build her life. However a chance meeting and a twist of fate change the course of Claire's life.

Tragedy struck David O'Hagan's live and he's still coming to terms with his loss. As the now older sibling, he's the one who's had to be strong and supportive to his family, whilst never finding closure himself. He believes his recurring nightmares are trying to tell him something...but what? Little does he know that a stunning redhead will solve the mystery of his nightmares and lead him to happiness he never dreamed existed.

Claire and David's attraction to one another is instant, but this is certainly not an inst a-love story. Their chemistry is palpable and both protagonists are relatable and likable. Neither can act on their feelings immediately as there is too much emotional baggage between them as well as the obstacles placed in the way by a jealous admirer. Hello, slow burn romance!
Supporting characters like Claire's friend Ciara and David's sisters Kathy and Maggie lighten the dialogue with their friendly banter, adding to a truly beautiful story to immerse yourself into.

This second book in the Angel series will touch your heart and even make you shed a tear or two like myself. There is an overwhelming feeling of hope and inspiration as the plot unfolds. Whilst some like myself may be cynical towards guardian angels, I wholeheartedly understand that many find great comfort from finding inner eternal peace from phenomenon that can't always be explained. Saved By An Angel is well written although a bit overly descriptive at times for me, but not enough to cause any page skimming. I read this as a standalone and is the first but definitely not the last novel I will read by this author.

I love this author, and especially loved the first book in this series, Hugged By An Angel. I couldn't imagine she would be able to write a sequel to rival the first book. Boy was I wrong!

In my opinion Hugged By An Angel should be read first. But if you read this book as a standalone that's not a problem, as the author explains a certain amount of the background in this one.

This story features one of the characters I loved previously, David O'Hagan. Because he is the brother of Kathleen from the first story we also see a lot of her, and her fiancée Colin, as well as the rest of their family.

David has always wanted to have what Kathleen has now found - happiness, love, and the possibility of seeing his brother Declan one more time. He believes everything Kathleen has told him, but he really wants proof himself.

Claire comes crashing into David's life, literally, at a point when he thinks he has everything worked out. He has a girlfriend he thinks he is destined to be with, a job he enjoys, life is going along at a rate he is happy with. But he still has dreams he can't shake. Dreams involving Declan. Is it a sign from the other side, or is it simply a dream?

As expected there are obstacles thrown at both David and Claire which they need to work through. To find out you will need to read this story for yourself.

Suffice to say this was a brilliant, heartwarming story which I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Roberta Capizzi always manages to create characters that you can completely relate to and fall in love with. 'Saved By An Angel'is no exception, with the sexy David and the down-to-earth Claire.

Claire was a character I could totally relate to: shy and quiet, a book lover, would be librarian and grieving for the loss of her mother. David himself is struggling after the death of his brother and puts on a public face to hide his hurt. Two troubled, similar souls find each but life is not straightforward. Claire is not looking for a relationship after suffering from a terrifying experience; whilst David is already in a relationship when they meet. Will these souls find a way to be together?

When something you believe in so strongly and is so important to you is featured in such a beautifully emotive way, you clutch it closely to your heart and never want to let it go. Guardian angels are important to me after losing my own brave mother nearly seven years ago and my own belief that she is watching over us. I will always cherish this story in a special way for its portrayal of angels. This was a very personal story to me and there are not enough words to describe its beauty and pure emotion it draws from you. I laughed and cried and felt my way through this truly inspiring story.

I really enjoyed this story. Saved by an angel is the second book in the series. It's a standalone but I would recommend to read Hugged By An Angel first, not because you need it to understand the story but because it would give you a clear picture of what happened to the family and why the relationships are the way they are.
David and Claire's story is not an easy one. They are both suffering and, even if for different reasons, their lives are not exactly good. The moment they met they forged a connection, but is not until after some soul searching that things start to get better.
I loved the story, but most of all I loved the pace of it. It all happens at the right time and the progression is as natural as it could be.
can't wait to read more from this author.

(Review with spoilers)

Second book in the series. Nice romance. I loved it.

Claire has returned to Galway, the city where she studied, to work at the university. One night she stumbles upon a man in a pub. He's very attractive. She doesn't expect to see him again, but she meets him on the first day of work. He is David, one of the professors of the university.

A year after losing Declan, his brother, David is having nightmares, and the relationship with his girlfriend is suffering, he doesn't feel comfortable with her. And, after bumping into Claire, he keeps thinking about her. He wants to be friends with her.

I loved Claire. Shy, insecure, she has suffered a lot, she hides, but she wants to live again. David makes her trust men again. He makes her smile, she trusts him.

David has also suffered. He had to be strong after losing Declan, for his family. He couldn't cry, and he regrets it. Declan was his best friend and David misses him terribly. He doesn't feel comfortable with his girlfriend, he doesn't trust her. He can't talk to her about his dreams, he doesn't think she will understand. But he knows that Claire would. He wants to know her. He wants that she sees him for who he is. She wants the same, that he truly sees her.

I loved them together. They are a sweet and lovely couple.

I loved seeing Colin and Kathy. And to know more about Maggie.

I loved Ciara. And her crush on Declan.

I loved the wedding.

I cried a lot. I recommend it.

I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.

David is going through the motions with his girlfriend all while trying to fight his nightmares and figure out what they mean and then he meets a beautiful redhead that catches his eye and makes him wonder if his girlfriend is right for him because he can't even tell her about his nightmares not that she would ask. Clair has moved to try and start her life by moving in with her best friend Ciara and one night she bumps into this gorgeous guy with beautiful eyes and then she finds out she works with him. They go out for lunch and they keep dancing around their feelings and finally David works up the nerve to try and break up with Michelle and she turns it around on him saying he is cheating on her and then he tells her about his nightmares and she tells him it's been two years get over your brother's death and he's crazy for believing in Angel's and so they breakup and he gets drunk. David and Claire see each other after his drunk escaped and they talk about his brother and she tells him about her sister that died at age eight. Awesome story and I loved it I read it one day.

Finding Our Hearts #2 - This book starts two years after Declan's passing with the emphasis on David's story with the family playing large roles. While well written and well thought out, I didn't get wrapped up in this story as I did with Healing, until the last half. Oh, the first half was good but for me the story took off midway through. At this point, the story takes several twists and the pace is rapid and filled with suspense.

We have all the lovable characters from Healing and the new characters are likable, although there are some unlovable ones, too. Ciara the bestie of Claire, David's love interest, is a hoot. But Claire is a complex person. There are insecurities, fears, avoidance, heartaches to name some of the storylines/themes. Heartwarming and filled with love; an excellent pairing with Healing, which should be read first, but it's not necessary. Really though, read them both. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*

Healing Our Hearts #1 - This is my first read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A delightful, heartbreaking, heartwarming story of healing. The heart wrenching sadness that the two main characters faced and their recovery, along with the discovery of love for each other made it difficult to put the book down.

This tearjerker is well written and the storylines and journeys mesmerizing. Ms. Roberts does a wonderful job with her writing style, vivid descriptions and fascinating characters. While sad, there is plenty of joy and blessings making this a well balance feel good story. I contacted the author to review her books and received this through Booksprout. 5*
