I read this author years ago, and I really enjoyed the series I read. I hadn’t realized she’d written anything else, and I was excited to read this one. The quality I came to expect from this author was displayed in this book: great writing, interesting characters, and a good plot. Only one thing I wasn’t sure I liked about this book was the main character, Izella. She’s very complex which I enjoyed, but I didn’t enjoy her antipathy towards humans. Of course, that could just be my preference for main characters tainting my view of her. One fact remains, however, is that I really want to read more to find out what happens next, even if I’m not sure if I like Izella. I really do recommend this! I received a complimentary copy, and I left a review voluntarily.

Un libro corto que nos habla de vampiros y cazadores, Izella es el personaje principal, una de las más antiguas vampiresas descendientes de un original, hermosa de una manera hipnotizante, veloz, fuerte y con habilidades superiores. En un inicio asocié el libro con la serie "The Originals" que por cierto es una de mis favoritas pero desafortunamente no pudo engancharme con la información que brindaban.
Izella y su interés amoroso pasado/presente siento que necesita desarrollarse más para poder atrapar a los lectores, creo que se debe a lo corto del libro y esto pueda mejorar en el sgte. libro.
De todas maneras continuaré la historia ya que los vampiros siempre son atrayentes.

Izella is a unique vampire. She is a descendant created by an original and she fell in love with a vampire hunter Jayson. Through her mission to retrieve an artifact created to destroy even original vampires she meets his descendants at hunter academy. She later learns things she can do and things she never knew about Jayson. Interested in reading Vampire Descendant the next book when it comes out.

This reads like a novella. Short - fast paced and to the point. It lacks depth. I really enjoyed the story and characters so I really want the author to delve more into their development. The world building needs to be more descriptive as well. Overall it is a good start and I hope the author continues into a more in depth version

Wait, you're related to who?

I enjoyed this short book. It starts with a vampire waking after sleeping for the past year who sees a human who looks so much like someone she knew that had died years ago.

This is a must read to find out why she is so interested in someone that she mistakes for someone else.

I had a difficult time getting into the story, despite the creative imagery and the book itself being well-written. I simply couldn't relate to Izella, nor truly understand her fixation with Rune. It felt a little forced. Usually, I love vampire novels, but this one wasn't for me. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy via Hidden Gems.

Loved it

Can't wait for the next book. The characters are amazing..I haven't read anything lately about vampires because I was bored with it, but this series kept me focus thru the end. Truly enjoyed it. Highly recommended it.

Very good read. Different plot line as so other many vampire books out there. Full of action packed and mystery . Give it a try you wont regret it.
